It was a massive undertaking, but he had put out the call to everyone in the area. There were stoves set up with portable heat supplies, tables and a place for music and food. The Adventurer had literally invited everyone that he could think of. Even the trio of Wedge, Cid and Biggs were invited, to foster better relationships with them, as well as the merchants and the people of the land.

The Observatory was decorated as such and with the warmer weather out, there was still things to do, places to see and people to meet. Take this time to invest in that meeting you wanted. Maybe you saw this Hero or person from over the way but never stopped to say hello. It simply isn't possible to know everyone. Until now.

Go and talk with someone, play music or perform on the dance stage, and oh, save some food for those out hunting the ridiculous Gilgamesh Quest. They'll probably be starving.

[According to some people, curiosity and cats shouldn't mix but honestly Nyanta couldn't resist when he saw that letter about a cook out. After a last minute monster hunt, he managed to get enough gil to buy ingredients. Nyanta came a little later with the big stock pot in hand. If Nyanta's werecat appearence didn't make the other heroes curious, the wonderful spicy aroma from the pot did.

It was one of the recipes from the world of Elder Tale he mastered. Spicy mutton stew seemed like an ideal choice on a night like this.]

[That smell. It smelled wonderful and like home.

Taking a break from his cooking, The Adventurer went over.] Hail friend, what is that incredible smell?

[Nyanta's ears prick up when he hears The Adventurer.]

Ah this? It's a little mutton stew from the last world I was in, nya. This is quite a spread we have here.

Oh! I thought it was mutton. I haven't had mutton in a while, the meat is always expensive.

[Adventurer smiled.] I am The Adventurer, though you may call me Meteor. [If this were Elder Tale, his stats would probably read at least lv 60 as a "cap".]

It is, sadly. I was just lucky I had enough gil from some monster hunting I've been doing, nya.

[Nyanta chuckles and smiles back.]

My name is Nyanta and it's a pleasure to meet you. I find it fascinating you're an Adventurer. It's a term used back in the last world I was in.

Hunting is fairly profitable when you know where to look.

[He grinned a little.]

Well met Nyanta. Adventurer is something we do back home, as part of the Adventurers Guild. The realm is full of them.

Ah yes, I mostly did a good share of hunting in the seven months leading to being here. I just need to get myself familiar with the local monsters here.

Guilds too, you say? We have many guilds back home as well. Some specialize in mentoring, producing goods, or doing dungeon raids and the like. It's quite fascinating to see so many similarities between this world and the one I was last in, nya.

Understandable. Some of these monsters are familiar to me, being from a similar world as this one. Some of them, not so much.

There's a Guild here, called Fairy Tale. It specializes in magic users and employs some "tanks" as myself, defenders who specialize in heavy defense and armor.

Fairy Tale? What an interesting name.

[Says the guy who was in groups like Debauchery Tea Party, Cat Food, and Log Horizon.]

That makes sense since magic-based jobs sacrifice physical stats in exchange for magic stats, nya. Back home I possessed a job class known as Swashbuckler. The class specializes in chaining combos for high damage and inflicting status effects. I've yet to find a job that's similiar to it here, nya.

You'll probably have to put in a custom job request if you want something exactly like your own abilities then.

[It wasn't like Adventurer had a Free Company to his name.] Back home they called Free Companies whatever they wanted.

Ah, yes, I have heard about these custom jobs, nya. I'll have to look into it later. For now, I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of dishes everymeow brought.

[The meowing reminded him of Miah, only a lot more pleasant.]

There is quite a lot of food, of varied types too. I myself have been bringing across steaks and other roasted foods.

[The scent catches her attention first, of course, and she turns that way, stilling for a moment when she spots Nyanta. Her ears broadcast curiosity, though she's trying not to be so obvious about it in her speech.]

Ahhh, that smells good! You're not about to hesitate to lay it out, are you?

[Given, well, everyone else's contributions.]

[Nyanta can see right through her act and chuckles.]

Step right up, dear. I'll let you have the first serving, nya.

[He ladles in some of the stew into a bowl. with a smile, he hands her the bowl.]

It's still very hot so be careful, nya.

[she's aware she's more obvious than a hyur, but let her have her illusions ~~or teach her how to fix them~~]

Ah? That's most kind of you!

[she accepts it with care, sniffing for a moment to guess at what he used, though there's still a certain amount of observation going on as well.]

Did you make this often back where you come from?

I was the cook for my guild before I arrived here, nya. It just so happens this mutton stew is one of my signature dishes. I haven't been able to make it since arriving here with the rest of my fellow heroes. I do hope it's to your liking.

Oh, indeed? No wonder this smells so good, then! Are there any tips you think you could give another person? [she grins, ears twitching forward a little.]

I've always enjoyed a good stew, so I'm sure it will be! And your companions must surely have liked it, if it's your signature dish.

[and she takes a spoon to sample it carefully.]
