Where: South Continent of Balance (Imperial Territories)
When: April 20th to April 30th.
Summary: The Heroes of Light have lost consciousness and now find themselves in the middle of nowhere, without their Moogles and away from everything they know. They will have to get back home, but what awaits them on the path? For more information, please check the First OOC Post and Second OOC Post.

[The Barkeep silently thanks himself for delaying his bath until after cleaning the dishes, else he'd have found himself in the middle of nowhere with only a bathrobe. That isn't to say that falling unconscious and waking up in a strange place was a good thing at all.]

Uh. [His attempts to brush the wet dirt off his Sage do not remove the stains.] Who's idea was this to knock people out and drag 'em outside? This is one of the worst pranks I have ever been part of.

Ugh, I don't even see any buildings.

[Nanami couldn't even think of people who hated her. Unless it was someone who was hiding their true nature until they could strike back at her...]

[Perhaps some unruly teenagers didn't like Nanami's personality, or she got caught up into the wrong crowd. The same sort of people that would target an old man.]

Don't know why they'd bother draggin' us all out here. [He squints and turns around to catch a glimpse of the walls of Aqures Ixen in the distance.] If only I had Annie here so I could teleport us back...

[And in his search, he spots the other two members of the group.] Rialynn? Ramza? You two? [He rushes to the nearest of them to check if they're doing alright.]

[rialynn]

[Rialynn isn't too far off. Lying on her back with her auburn hair fanned out behind her, legs twisted to the side, she's out like a light in her green and gold dancer's costume. Her rapier, unfortunately, is still behind the bar at the Space Saloon. But at least she's got her wood flute????]

[That might not be very useful, but it's what she's got.]

[Hearing her name seems to stir her senses, and her lashes flicker before she blearily opens her hazel eyes to see...the sky? Barkeep she expects, but not the quiet of the great outdoors compared to the noise of the saloon.]

[She starts before scrambling to sit up, looking desperately around her. Nanami...she remembers her from that vision they all shared. And Ramza's here too. Were all of them at the saloon just now?]

...What happened...?

[Her fingers curl around the flute she's holding, and she looks down at it before tucking it into the sash at her waist. She's got a pair of small throwing knives in her boots, but she's not too easy waking up in the wilderness without her rapier. She looks around, trying to discover something familiar before she looks at Ramza again. She can see that he's breathing, but even so, it's best they all go to check on him too.]

[Hearing the commotion around him, Ramza stirs. Recognizing at once that he is in an unfamiliar place, he goes from bleary-eyed to full alert in a heartbeat. His hand seeks out his sword-hilt before he even opens his eyes.

Thankfully, he is armed. It goes a long way to calming him. He pulls himself up into a sitting position and looks around.]

What...what is this?

[He turns to examine Rialynn, Barkeep, and Nanami in turn. Is anyone injured?

[The Barkeeps lets out a sigh of relief. His roommate doesn't look hurt, and his employee-slash-potential-daughter-in-law is just as confused but otherwise fine. He pats Rialynn on the shoulder and uses her as leverage to pull himself back up in a standing position.]

Didn't hurt me. [His robes are dirty and his hair looks more like wild moss, but he can move around just fine. He bends over and holds out a hand for the bad.] Last thing I remember was lettin' the water run for my bath.

[A pause.]

Great, the house is gonna be flooded when we get back.

Hickory what?! Potential what?!

[rialynn]

[Rialynn heaves a small sigh of relief. Ramza's okay. It seems like everyone else is too, save for being lost and disoriented. She lifts her head as she watches Barkeep move to his feet, and accepts his hand up when he offers it before brushing the dust from her long skirts.]

[Despite their situation, she can't help cracking a faint smile at Barkeep's wry remark.]

I'm sure one of your Moogles will notice it and turn off the water.

[She takes a few steps to find that her legs work fine, and she doesn't feel any aches or bruises. Not even her head hurts, which she kind of expected after losing consciousness. She probes her head with her hands just to be sure, then shrugs.]

I'm okay. But this place is completely unfamiliar to me. What about you guys?

Re: Hickory what?! Potential what?!

No, I don't know where we are, at all.

[Nanami fished out her Crystal]

I guess we haven't been transported to a third world, or we wouldn't still have these, would we?

Barkeep, you have a son and never told Ramza? T_T

I do not know it, but if we are to assume we are still on Crystallis, there are only so many places we can be.

[He picks up a little rock and uses it to start sketching a rough map in the dirt. He's got a basic idea of the land masses, and with a sizable chunk of the world encased in crystal, the process of elimination is on their side.]

I think we should at least be able to determine which direction we should travel.

[rialynn]

[Rialynn nods her agreement, before patting herself down. Sure enough, her crystal is lodged into one of the hidden pockets in her skirts. After verifying it's there, she replaces it and starts looking around.]

You're right. I didn't have mine on me when I went on stage, but here it is.

[She puts her hand up to shield her eyes from the sun. In the distance she's sure she can make out a few wisps of smoke trailing up to the sky.]

It looks like there might be people that way. Maybe we can ask them for directions.

[He huffs, still upset that he's wasting so much water. Annie is the kind of Moogle who would walk by the bathroom and ignore the problem until the hallway floors got wet. After all that cleaning, he'll have to do that area of the house all over again.

Whoever sent them to the middle of nowhere will answer for that.

Fortunately, Rialynn provides a light at the end of the miserable dark tunnel. The Barkeep squints in the direction she's looking, hoping to spot the faint outline of a town, but sees nothing.] Where...? [Oh, now he sees the rising smoke.] Well, looks like we got our lucky break. Let's get ourselves over there right away and ask for directions.

See? It'll be like an adventure, only safer. [The bath will overflow, but a new mood has come over him.]

They'll at least know which way back to the city.

[Nanami is glad they won't meet monsters. Even normally, she hasn't got many of the large combat classes. Recently, she's taken to using the more sneaky ones to stay out of fights.]

[zodiac_brave]

[Safer. Sure. Ramza keeps to the rear of their little band as they start walking in the direction of the smoke. From there, he can make sure nothing sneaks up on them and no one in the group falls behind. He may not have any useful job skills to offer, but he does have Excalibur with him. ]

I have a little gil with me. We may be able to arrange transportation back to Aqures Ixen.

[rialynn]

A safe adventure sounds good to me too.

[Rialynn grins at Barkeep with a brief nod of agreement. Were she better prepared, she wouldn't really mind the danger, but she'd rather not be the one who winds up burdening the others just because her favored weapon is far from her hand.]

[She follows along with the others, though she does shoot a second questioning glance back at Ramza when she spots him bringing up the rear. What is he...? Ah, right, he's instinctively taking on the protector role. That's good of him, especially since he does seem to be the one best armed at the moment. Now that she understands, she bobs her head in thanks.]
