Summary: The Heroes of Light have lost consciousness and now find themselves in the middle of nowhere, without their Moogles and away from everything they know. [It isn't fair. It isn't fair, damnit! That kid is likely still thinking that his mother will be okay after she's patched up and here they all are... watching her die.]

[The hand that's hopelessly keeping pressure on one of her wounds pulls away before Ichigo grabs her free hand, focusing his gaze back on her unseeing eyes no matter how much it hurts to see her face. He isn't her child, he isn't Gatta and he knows but he doesn't want her to feel like she's going to die on her own.]

What did this to you?!

[If he couldn't save the boy from his suffering, if he couldn't save her then the least he could do was avenge her soul. It won't fix everything but at least whatever monster got her would pay for its crime. It won't get away with this.]

[It may have been because she was so close to death that he could tell Ichigo's and Yuri's voices didn't match that of Gatta's and her husband's, but she still believed that her child and spouse were the ones that were by her side during her final moments, and that made it all the more important that she kept a brave face, despite the pain and fading presence.

She cupped her face against Ichigo's and smiled.]

Don't worry, my love. I wasn't paying attention...It was only the monsters of the forest...

[More than anything, she wanted her son not to be enraged by her death.]

I'm not long for this world, dear. [She rolled her head on the bloody grass to face Yuri.] I'm glad I fought for as long as I did, but--

[She suddenly gasped, as if an immense pain rose up again within her. The hand resting against Ichigo fell, and her grip on Yuri loosened. Any sense of calm of her face was gone, replaced by the look of fear.]

...Is this your answer...?

[The pink haired woman drew one last breath. Then she was completely still.]

[ Yuri honestly didn't know what happened but all the sounds ceased at once and the swordsman was met with words and the woman that was holding onto him loosened her grip. He was then stopped with something completely out of character from what just happened.

It took him a moment to collect himself since the situation was so serious and so grim. ]

...W--Wha-- Hey!

[ DAMN IT ALL. What did she mean was that his answer?! ]

[ He couldn't look at her or anyone else-- especially the boy. Even Selphie was probably hit pretty hard by this and so was Ichigo. He couldn't either.... damn it all. Flynn was also trying so hard-- everyone tried so hard and yet they failed yet again. ]
