[At least they have not embellished the story so much that they sing in this version. They must count small blessings.]

[He watches for a few more moments in a mixture of disbelief and disgust before sinking into his chair in defeat.]

Maybe the Heroes oughta hire a PR firm to shape our image up.

Is a 'Pee-Ar Firm' some sort of illusionist guild? [Ramza is not sure how that would help, but it probably could make it no worse.]

Is that not dishonest? One should not need others to 'make you look good' if you act properly and with integrity. [Although, he did get branded a heretic by doing so, but Crystallis is less accusatory than Ivalice.]

Well...yes, perhaps...

[He frowns up at the stage.] I...think they mean for this to be a heroic portrayal. I do not believe they mean it to be this...terrible.

[He is trying so hard to cling to his belief in the inherent goodness of all people.]

Maybe actin' ain't this planet's forte. Considerin' they don't even have movies or anythin' here yet. Sometimes I think, maaaaybe this place ain't as backwards as I thought. Then this happens.

[Then there's Sparks, just lathering his sarcasm all over everything.]

Their strengths lie in different areas, I agree. Perhaps if we wrote our own adaption, we could help demonstrate the proper way of things.

[How does that sound, Sparks? An exciting tell-all about our favorite Heroes. Nothing bad could happen.]

[Sparks surprisingly seems to get on board with that idea, with a hum of consideration coming from him as he mulls it over.]

Yeah, right? Maybe we oughta, like, write a book or somethin'. Tell the story from people who, y'know, were actually there.

There are no small few Heroes who are given to such scholarly pursuits. I am sure they could provide a true account of our adventures. It might not be as exciting as the tales a bard would spin, but it would be more honest.

[At least the Heroes have done enough strange and baffling things that the text would not be too dry and unreadable.]

I know Barkeep enjoys writing. I have seen him at it in the evenings, though he does not allow me to read his work. Perhaps he could be our chronicler.

Barkeep, huh... [He does know that Barkeep fancies himself a writer. It's a good thing that he doesn't know what kind of stuff Barkeep actually likes to write.]

I guess he could work. Or one 'a our Bards or somethin'. I dunno. If someone's actually got the free time for somethin' like this, more power to 'em. I know I don't.

I will speak to Barkeep about it. If he is not interested, I know several bards I could ask. Perhaps they could collaborate on the project.

[Ramza nods to himself, satisfied. This time next year, pending the end of the world, the world will know the true tale of the Heroes of Light. It will...probably be less terrible?]
