[Vincent shook his head; he didn't feel it was admirable at all. If he were honest with himself, he should've been doing it before now.]

None so far.

[It didn't mean he wasn't enjoying looking anyways.]

Would you like to look with me?

[She turns towards more of the flowers and begins to slowly step along the path. Some of these flowers she knows, having obtained seeds from all over but others are new.]

I wonder how they get them all here.

[Terra is sure that some of these plants are temperamental at best.]

[No response was really needed to her first question, as Vincent simply fell into step beside her. Terra was always pleasant company as far as the darker man was concerned. He worried over her too, and found a kindred spirit at times.

Looking at the ones she was currently admiring.]

Careful transport and control, although the more widespread use of magic on this world might also make that task easier.

[Several seconds pause, before commenting.]

Any in particular you're favoring?

There was one.

[Terra turns to glance behind them. Her eyes land on a light purple flower with five petals that pool outward. It glimmers in the sunlight as if made out of crystal.]

I haven't see anything like it before.

[Vincent turns with her, and can easily see why she'd be taken with it.]

I haven't either.

[It is certainly eye-catching, as Vincent moves closer to see if there's a label on it.]

I wonder if they also use a language of flowers on this world?

They do.

[Though Terra doesn't know them all by heart.]

I found a book on it. I have it at the flower shop if you ever want to take a look.

[Its something she enjoys reading.]

[Vincent doesn't know the entire language by heart either, although he knows enough to send the messages he likes. He also knows where to find guides, to send messages he doesn't have memorized.]

I hope the meanings between this world and Gaia aren't too far off then.

[Otherwise the people at the hospital probably wondered just what he was saying, with his leaving flowers for friends who were crystalized.]

What do you mean?

[Terra has no basis of knowledge of Gaia except the few things that Sephiroth has told her. None of them really have to do with flowers.]

[Vincent is glad for the cape and mantle helping hide his lower face. He was not looking forward to questions, the way Sheena had done so on finding him with flowers repeatedly. Not that he thought Terra would, but it was still something he worried about.]

I have been bringing flowers to some of the crystalized Heroes. I choose with care and for the meaning. If the meaning is different between here and Gaia, I wonder then what the hospital staff might have thought.

[A smile touches Terra's lips.]

I think they will assume you're a caring friend who wants to leave something beautiful for your friends.

[She doesn't think that flowers have to have a meaning. It's the intentions that matter more.]

[That made Vincent pause in thought, quiet for some time. But he did feel comfortable actually talking to Terra about this, even if normally he wasn't so open.]

It's odd. I have been accused of being cool, and am often aloof by nature. Which has never meant that I do not care, simply that I don't show it as openly or as easily as others often do.

[Keeping his voice low, for Terra only, but confiding somewhat too. She was his friend.]

For the last few decades, I have also not truly felt much strongly beyond anger, hatred, and a need for revenge. On Gaia, I was driven with that in mind as my goal, once awakened from exile. On Crystallis however, I have...learned to 'live' again. Which seems to include being more obvious about those I do choose to care about.

[Things he had mused on about a lot. He knew Terra often struggled with her own emotions too, and trying to figure out what she wanted/what it all meant. A large part of why he chose to share his own thoughts and struggle with her.]

[Terra listens silently, her eyes studying Vincent as he spoke. She had assumed as much but she hasn't heard him admit it before. Her expression softens and she smiles up at Vincent.]

Then it's as I thought and the meaning of the flowers doesn't matter. The fact that you bring them. That's the meaning that matters.

[She shakes her head.]

Showing that you care.

[The old saying did go that 'actions spoke louder than words' and it was often true in Vincent's case. At Terra's smile, there was a hint of an answering one. Just the barest hint, at the edges of his mouth. But there--and hints of smile seen in crimson eyes too.]

If I didn't think he'd be jealous, I would say I should send a flower to you every now and then too, Terra.

[Just because she was his friend. He cared about her, worried--and he understood some of her struggles. Much as she had done her best to understand some of his.]

Thank you.

[She doesn't think that Sephiroth would be jealous of something like that. No one buys the flower girl a flower. Just the thought that Vincent might brings a wider smile to Terra's lips.]

I think everyone should share the beauty of flowers.

[Okay...now he has to get Terra a flower or two. At some point. Worth it to risk Sephiroth's ire. Besides, Vincent really does view Terra as a friend and someone he'd like to watch out for and cares for platonically.]

Not everyone is inclined to appreciate them.

[But he doesn't disagree otherwise.]

That's fine.

[She continues to smile.]

Maybe I can show them.

[A delicate hand lightly reaches out towards one of the flowers, thin fingers caressing the petals.] That's what I want to do. Share that.

[Vincent kept his distance, content to look with his eyes at the flowers and greenery around them.]

Then your flower shop is a good way to do so. Maybe the exhibitors here will share tips with you for transport and care of some of their specimens.

That's true.

[She stands to her full height, looking up at Vincent with a smile.]

You don't mind if I ask do you?

[Terra doesn't know how long she'll be away and she feels awful to just leave him here. Then again, he had come to see the flowers anyway.]

[That brings a very rare smile. It's at the corner of his mouth and in his eyes mostly, and accompanied by soft and barely audible laughter.]

Terra, I do not mind. I would not keep your time and company if you wanted otherwise.
