[Cloud is at the park, dressed for the occasion in his swim trunks and sandals and his shirt already discarded at this point. He's looking a little shifty though, hunched down by one of the water slides, crouching down like he's waiting for someone.

He doesn't seem to notice Selphie on her approach though. Is there someone else he's looking for?]

[There's a Selphie lurking in the shadows when she spots Cloud with his guard down. He's not paying attention to her as she decided to quickly remedy that situation.

She grabs a small bucket that would be used for building sand castles and lowers it into a nearby pool. With the bucket filled to the brim, Selphie saunters over to Cloud and unceremoniously dumps the bucket of water on his head.

What? He looked like he needed to cool off.]

[Cloud is so focused with keeping a watch out for Yuffie that as the water comes down on him one can almost hear the sound of his brain switching tracks. He half flails, half stumbles forward, pulling a large water gun of his own from its hidden position.

But when he sees Selphie there instead of Yuffie he hesitates, not quite sure if she was just playing at having fun with him or if she's involved in this water war as well.]

S-Selphie?

[There's an impish to the sweet smile on Selphie's face as she waves at Cloud.]

Hiya!

[Selphie is a wild card. He came here ready to deal with Yuffie, but he doesn't know this girl and her tricks. However that grin tells him all he needs to know before he raises the large water rifle and opens fire on the scheming girl.]

Why are you here? Did Yuffie decide I wasn't worth targeting herself?

[Selphie is startled into action as she counters Cloud's attack with a spray from her super soaker.]

Just because Yuffie and I are friends doesn't mean that we're in on this together you know!

[That impish grin turns into one very playful smirk shortly after she counters Cloud's attack.]

It's so on now though.

[And there goes a water balloon being burst open on Cloud's back.]

[Cloud runs for it, hindered a little by the water but he keeps to the shallows. He hadn't planned for this...but that doesn't mean he's completely at her mercy. He bets on her not having the same advantages that Yuffie has, nor the training and ducks into one of the climbing structures.

Sliding for cover he roots around for the guns and balloons he stashed. As long as she doesn't have the same thief and ninja skills that Yuffie has has he should have a good ambush set up.]

[Selphie didn't have the advantage of thief and ninja skills sadly but she has her training from back home to put to good use. Cloud has the advantage in height but she has the advantage of being light and quick.

She kicked off her flip flops and ran lightly on bare feet on the prowl for Cloud. She has a water gun ready for the opportune time to attack. Selphie pulls out a water balloon and gets it ready for a counterattack if she has to do so.

Come out, come out wherever you are.]

[Cloud waits patiently. The path narrows in this area and there are only so many ways Selphie can go if she doesn't think outside the box. The climbing play structure is an obvious spot, with little rooms and turns and posts to hide in and behind. The perfect sort of place for kids to run and play.

The two kids here just happen to be older than most.

Cloud waits until he can hear Selphie's footsteps on the wood, and then her shadow as it comes into view.

Wait for it....wait for it....

NOW!

He pulls the trigger, water shooting up from between the slats of the structure. He's taken position laying in the water under the structure itself!]

[Selphie is about the start combing through the entire play structure, using her smaller stature as a means to get through the smaller alcoves to find Cloud. She never manages to get close enough to start exploring before her plans are dashed.

There's a steady stream of water rushing out toward her, striking Selphie's abdomen. She shouts dramatically at the sneak attack as she pulls her own Super Soaker out from behind her. Before long, the perky brunette falls to the wood chips beneath her and opts for playing dead.]

[Cloud doesn't linger in his position long. As great as it is for a sneak attack it also leaves him prone and cornered. He dodges her own revenge volley as he rolls out from under the spot and moves to cover once more and waits.

And waits.

What the hell?

Peering out he frowns as her laying on the ground. This is a water fight, not a real one. Maybe if she ways laying in the water he'd be worried...

Instead he opts to lob a water balloon in her direction.]

[The water balloon misses by a mere few inches and knows that her playing dead tactic wasn't going to work. It had worked in the training centre at Balamb but Cloud wasn't a cadet and this wasn't Garden. She rolls onto her stomach before dashing into the obstacles and darting through the smaller openings to throw him off.

She doesn't make a peep as she starts exploring the full structure to find her new friend.]

[Cloud sucks on his teeth in annoyance as the water balloon wobbled in midair and went wide, splashing harmlessly on the ground.

Holding his gun at the ready he gives chase back into the structure, crouching low and employing his ShinRa training. She has the advantage of cover now and he's not going to give her any more of a target than he has to.]
