[Ramza startles as the water jet hits his side and soaks his suit. He whirls around...]

What is the meaning of this? [He was not planning on swimming. He does not have the proper job skills equipped for that!]

Of course not. ;)

[Selphie sneaked in closer for a better shot. There weren't many decent hiding places around the pools as Ramza may spot a teenage girl running to hide behind a chair.]

The meaning is to have some fun! [Selphie underhand tossed a water gun into the pool for Ramza. What's the point in having a one-sided water gun fight anyway?]

[Ramza looks from the conspicuously hiding teen to the gun, and back to the girl. Is this like...snowball fights? But spreading...summer cheer, instead of winter? It makes about as much sense as anything ever does in Crystallis.

He wades forth and draws forth the water gun from the water.]

Very well. Prepare yourself. [He takes careful aim, fumbles momentarily with the trigger, and shoots the most easily avoidable stream of water ever at Selphie.]

[boomchucka]

That's the spirit! [Selphie takes the stream of water like a champ because of the heat but not before firing another stream back at Ramza.]

I'm not going down that easily.

[Luckily for Ramza, Selphie's used up her water balloons.]

[Ramza is not accustomed to walking through water with any great speed, so he decides to focus on precision rather than agility. He takes aim again, moving slowly forward as he fires. He has no idea how to reload the gun when the water inside is exhausted, so he has to make what he has count.]

Surrender, villain!

[boomchucka]

Never!

[Selphie wasn't intent on surrendering but she might toss him another water gun once the one that Ramza is using is out of water.]

You'll have to catch me first!

[It is the world's saddest slow-motion chase scene. Step, step, stop to fire, step, step. Ramza doesn't splash thought the water so much as trudge through it, creating ripples in the water.]

You cannot flee forever, fiend! [Cheesy heroes alliterate, do they not? Selphie should probably defeat him swiftly before he says anything else.]

[boomchucka]

[Wait, did he seriously just say that? Selphie looks at Ramza curiously, wondering if he's one of those actors from that play that they're putting on. It was just so... cheesy that the perky brunette felt compelled to put the blonde out of his misery.]

Oh? Is that so?

[Selphie makes a dash for the edge of the pool and hops into it. Next thing Ramza will see is the girl is using her left foot to kick a large sized wave of water at him.]

[Nooooo, what manner of villainy is this? Ramza looks utterly betrayed for a moment, before rallying. He learned from snowball fighting with Yuffie that surprise attacks are all a part of the cheer-spreading of these various water-based combat activities.

And that being so, he cups his free hand and splashes return fire at Selphie.]

Indeed! [It is factually true. Selphie will eventually have to stop, right?]
