Either way, he was amused and glad to find he wasn't the only one who found the shooting stand to be a good diversion.]

[It is certainly nice to meet Pyrra in turn, but Vincent doesn't really feel the need to state so. It's kind of obvious, at least to him. If it wasn't pleasant, he'd have walked away by now.]

Do you ever practice at the marksman's range at the Hero's training school?

I've been there a few times, yes. I usually go out to the Calm Plains to practice with live targets, though.

Easier to recover ammunition from, which is the trade for not practicing with live-targets.

[Vincent hadn't seen many others around who favored marksmanship or gunner skills though, which is why it had caught his attention.]

That's true, though I make enough money playing blitzball to afford bullets whenever I need them.

[Ok that makes him jealous. Not that he'd show it, or begrudge her---but definitely jealous.]

[If anything, normal ammo hasn't given Vin much trouble. Especially since what he really wants are Thanatos bullets. Those are expensive, sadly.]

Except for the fact that the only supplier I've found of a resource I want, has them priced rather exorbitantly, you'd be correct.

[Really, Vincent made enough for basic needs and a few luxuries. Maybe he should just take up monster-hunting more.]

Unless you happen to know a different source for Thanatos bullets. Its also frustrating that my main firearm from my world is not compatible with Crystallis' ammunition.

No, I'm afraid not. But you might try Haley's Anvil if you want to have your weapon modified to use the ammunition available here. That's what I did when I first arrived.

I had talked to MarKus awhile back about that very thing. Unfortunately he was not certain he could retrofit it while preserving the integrity of the firearm. It has some sentimental value.

[Which was not something he was willing to treat lightly.]

I have spoken with Albel about making ammo that will work with it, but I also understand it's all experimental.

He did good work on my weapon, but I understand what it's like to have a special bond with your equipment. Hopefully he'll be able to come up with a good solution for you.

[Okay, that she understood the idea he might be reluctant to tamper with his weapon is new. Most wouldn't get it, especially considering that to Vincent--a weapon was usually just a weapon. One could be exchanged if needed.

He's not given to expression, considering Vincent is aloof and stoic 90% of the time. But it's refreshing to find someone who gets it.]

Yes, if it wouldn't be too much trouble. If it works out well, I might commission him myself. It never hurts to be as prepared as we can, after all.
