( meredy continued to laugh as they spilled out, obviously giddy at the prospect. she didn't even know what sort of prizes there were, but the thought of it seemed to excite her. )

Meredy will help, too! ( with her hands and pockets overfilled, she was looking around at the games again, spotting something in the distance and pointing. ) Oooh, what is that? It looks like... Dancing, Dancing! ( because what were proper names of things? )

[Chiaki looks over where Meredy is pointing, and nods back with a smile.]

Oh yeah. That's a Para Para Paradise machine. You wave your arms in time with the notes on screen, and it looks like a dance.

[melnics]

Really? ( her eyes seemed to light up, and her arms rose high into the air again. )

Meredy wants to try! ( she's off before she's even finished the declaration, getting ready to start the game as she gets into position. ) I will contribute to the prize as well, you bet!

Okay, I'll watch you this time. Just keep the beat of the song and move your arms across the sensors when the notes fly by.

[Chiaki claps quietly behind her to help her stay on track.]

( when it first starts up, she doesn't quite seem to get it. with a frown she stubbornly keeps trying, chiaki's clapping keeping her focus until a short ways in the great! excellent! and wow! ratings rain down along the screen.

she's getting it now, laughing loudly, her natural movements with the melody taking over and making her look like a natural as the song blares on. )

[Chiaki knows there's a significant learning curve for newcomers to games like this, so she just keeps calmly clapping along with the beat. And once Meredy hits her groove, she just smiles and watches.]
