Characters: All the Heroes of Light and their Moogles.
Where: Order's Sanctuary, The Interdimensional Rift and their Homeworlds.
When: August 03rd - August 30th

Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

I-- Uh, yeah, I guess. I was gonna stop at the station. Maybe. I'm not gonna be in there, am I?

Just cuz it's hard to doesn't mean ya shouldn't. Otherwise they'll get the idea that we like bein' pushed around. Which I know I don't. I'm just tryin' to get some peace for all of these planets gettin' swept up in the Calamity nonsense, is all.

[That, and he wants this all to be over so he can go home already. Two years of this has been more than enough.]

Yep. Here it is in all of it's, uh, glory, I guess. Reckon it's a sight for sore eyes, honestly.

[He points to his marshal station in the near distance.]

So uh, that's my station, see? Reckon we don't really know when we are yet, so there's a chance I could be inside there right now. Or maybe I'm not. Maybe I'm somewhere else. All I'm sayin' is, paradoxes ain't a good thing. I need someone to go in there and check.

I see. Is there anything the rest of us can do in the meanwhile? Or is it just safer to stay inside?

[He really would like to go out and explore. Curiosity always did get the better of Ed, and outside are magical creatures he's only ever read about.]

Maybe some of us could go out and see if we can find the way out...?

She's a liar and cheat is what she is. If she tries to cheat with us again I can only think of a bare few of us who will still trust her words.

She looks around as well, frowning as she does so.]

I'm not sure. I get the feeling there was something or someone here once. They don't seem to be now though.

Bonnie looked at Corrine, trying to place the other moogle. It took her a moment but the encouragement about fighting made the memory slip into place. She grinned wide, raising her little paws at the ready.

"You bet, kupo. Next time Palitutu shows up we'll be ready. We just need to find a nice perch to hide on, kupo."

Mary looked at her own moogle with surprise as well but then smiled and shook her head. The blind hope was needed right now. She was glad Bonnie could have it even when she couldn't.

"Not well, if I'm bein' honest. I've had it with Palitutu and her schemes but she's proven more slippery than a fish." She glanced again at the two moogles plotting and scheming. "Sorry if mine has been giving yours strange ideas."

[Reno paced, occasionally looking out the window. Gods, what a sight. Monsters, everywhere he could see.]

Gods...

[Another lap around the room. He looked over at Dylas.]

So is this... like, the real you? Or...?

[Even on Crystallis, the other man didn't look entirely human, antlers and all. So Reno had to wonder which was closer to the truth.]

[Reno looked around. He wasn't a White Mage, and Ales certainly wasn't. He didn't know about the other guy -- Ed, he thought.]

We should at least hide the body. It'll look bad if there's two of 'em -- could cause some major world problems if he gets found.

Mary's thoughts went briefly to the Diamond WEAPON. Would things have been different if they had brought it along with them? Had they dodged a bullet by winding up here? How did all of this enter into her scheming. The more she turned the thought over in her mind the less she liked it.

"Blast that woman." She clenched her fist, but most of her fury was spent on the initial outburst. "She never had any intent of treating with us in good faith. Just plots upon plots. Where does it end? What is she really after?"

It would seem so, unless this is all a dream or another vision.

[It was definitely an odd question, but it'd been an odd road and this wasn't the strangest thing to happen to them. Or perhaps it was. It was hard to tell at this point.

He leans back and gives the chocobo another pat as Mikleo acknowledges him.]

I think Zack got brought along because he was with us for the fight. I'm not sure how the moogles got dragged along. Maybe because of their connection to our jobs? I dunno.

Sorry. How are you doing? Are you okay?

[Cloud frowns at the question.]

I don't think any of us can trust her word anymore, if we could since she first betrayed us...well maybe Ramza might try. But I mean if she brought us here then clearly she has another plan.

[He sighs and shakes his head.]

It'll probably be a fight to the death.

"Pinkie....Cheesy....right....um...." Cloud did his best to back away slowly, which turned out not to be an easy thing to do while he was on four legs. Three steps and he tumbled backwards, landing in a heap.

Cloud was busy rubbing his hoof on his forehead, trying to make sense of everything and figuring out how to work this new body. The question of how to use his sword was on his mind, though he was hoping he wouldn't need it at all.

"Thanks. Now I see why Twilight had so much trouble when she first arrived. How do I...Zack! Wait!"

And then there was the gentle tug of a beak clamping down on Fluttershy's tail.

[And then there's this jerk. Maybe Reno hasn't been a jerk yet, but Dylas is more wary of him than the others. He doesn't know this man or why he decided to follow them, but now Reno is his responsibility. He goes out there, talks to the wrong monster, and he'll end up soulless or sucked dry (in the least sexy of ways).]

Of course it's the real me. And don't talk about gods. If they hear you, they might take an interest in you.

[He snorts. He can't say this isn't him anymore, not after what he's done and how much he's enjoyed certain activities in this body.]

Do I look fake to you?

[Or is he misunderstanding the question?]

[He snaps back to attention, sounding desperate instead of angry.]

You're human. You aren't safe out there. Don't go anywhere.

"Saori..." Mary's face fell as she heard Saori's voice. She was happy, beyond happy that she was okay, but the pain of seeing her fall in battle was still fresh. And then the words of that...being in that other space. They were all mortal now. This was their only life to hold onto.

She was silent for a moment, hesitating in embracing her before gently pulling her closer, "I'm sorry. I should have protected you before that attack went off."

"I do, but I haven't used it much. Not sure it'd be much use." She looked around at the people going on about their business. Seemed to be a fair few doing some last minute shopping. "And I hope we don't have to use them either." And even with that said she'd come equipped as an Assassin. If nothing else the job gave her comfort.

"But Christmas. Wasn't it August when we fought the WEAPON? Jack? Does this make any sense to you?"

There's gods here, too?

[He hissed, pulling back from the window as if he'd already been spotted. That was not what he'd wanted to hear. He had enough of real gods meddling with people on Atia, he was rather enjoying the distinct lack of meddling gods on Crystallis (a semi-sentient Calamity and its avatars didn't exactly count the same way). He did not want to think about what kind of gods were running this place.]

And I meant... Well, did Crystallis tone you down for the sake a' the people there?

[Because KITT was originally a car, made into a man just so he could get it on with the rest of the human population. It wouldn't have surprised Reno in the least that Dylas was forcibly, magically changed just to fit in with the traditional "Heroes of Light."]

Or is it just this place, an' we're all gonna turn into... that [He waved vaguely at the window and Dylas] the longer we're here?

Yeah. They pulled me here the first time.

[So Reno has figured out that everyone turns into monsters. He's not surprised. Someone on the way here probably handed him a pamphlet or he overheard it. Dylas certainly didn't plan on mentioning it, but at least they're the only two in the room right now. He doesn't think he can avoid hiding it from Ed or Ales much longer, but at least he can address the giant deer in the room with them one by one.]

It took away my lightning. And then one night, I was...hungry. And it never stopped. You can't fight a war against another god without strong soldiers, right?

[At least it's not foggy outside. That'd make him feel even worse.]

She didn't bring you here. There are other things to worry about, because we leave at next sundown.

[He's presumably explained that he can't go out during the day. It's a handicap, but one they'll have to deal with.]

[Reno was quiet. Then he actually sat down across from Dylas.]

So that's why they brought you all in, an' how they get their power. Never thought I'd prefer Atia's demands...

[It was more muttered to himself, but Reno did sympathize. Gods screwing with humans for their own petty affairs rubbed him the wrong way. And he'd been there, too -- just not quite like this.]

[The mention of hunger was a bit of a concern, though.]

So... what exactly are you? Here, I mean.

[It wasn't accusatory -- just a quiet curiosity. And he didn't want to insinuate that this defined who Dylas was entirely.]

K'pandolu tilted her head, focusing on the ground ahead of them, and nodded. "Between all of us, we should be able to manage," she said, and glanced over the others briefly. "Which way is the city?"

K'pandolu tilted her head, still taking the time to look around at the people. "Perhaps the portals simply have no care for the months?" she suggested. "I'm sure we can wrangle something for the season, regardless."

Mm. Tangling with the stars is a bad business, don't you know that?

[K'pandolu's gone back to Red Mage and Ninja, for her part, but while she looks less intimidating she's primed to move.]

Who the hell is Atia?

[It doesn't matter if Reno mutters to himself. He could whisper so quietly even he wouldn't hear it, yet Dylas' ears would pick it up as a loud whisper. Ever since coming to this world, his ears have moved and been lively, tracing every sound, picking up everything.

If he could have this ability back in Crystallis, he would.]

I'm the same thing I am everywhere else. But what business is it of yours? You didn't even know who the hell I was today. Let's just focus on getting our asses out of here.

[Should have known. Reno cringed slightly.]

She was the goddess who brought me inta' the last world I was in, before Crystallis. Goddess of "Love" -- you can imagine what she wanted us around for. And not the fluffy stuff.

Didn't have much of a choice there, either.

[He leveled a hard gaze at Dylas.]

Look, I followed Ales in here. I dunno you or Ed, but you're the one lookin' like that right now, back from the dead an' sayin' he's hungry. So no offense, but I kinda wanna know just what kinda shit I just stepped in here.

If we're supposed ta' stick together, we need to know what we're dealing with.
