Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

[This scenario was just barely history for Ed, only around 15 years in his past. While he lived far away from the action, he's still familiar with it from the news at the time. The Hero's Alchemist's outfit don't exact blend in here, so he shuffles himself between the others to hopefully not gain too much attention.

He makes his way over to Jack, so he can speak as lowly as he can over all of the noise.]

You seem far too used to this. Are we in your world...?

I don't know, she may know the person he's mentioning... >.>

[A little relieved Squall let him in, he stepped in and closed the door behind him. While he was looking for Squall, he tried to think of how to say what he wanted to say, but he still didn't know how it'd come across. Still, when Squall asked what it was, he instantly started talking.]

There was this cadet earlier, I just took her through the fire cavern. Her name was Yuna, she wore this white dress... thing... with a red sash.

[Maybe they'd seen her around because he really couldn't remember seeing her around at all.]

Anyway, she, ah...

[He paused, shifting his weight from one foot to the other. He'd probably make it sound stupid, but what if it was something big?! He couldn't just ignore it!]

She said some strange things. First I thought she was confused, and yeah, I know it's super rare for it to still be there after a fight, but I didn't know what else it could be! So I used an Esuna and it didn't do anything!

[Which is probably the most worrisome part.]

So I thought she was nervous or somethin' and just took her through the cavern anyway. But man, the things she said... I've seen nervous and no one says the stuff she said. Oh yeah, and she didn't even know where this place was. Even if she had a GF junctioned for a while, there ain't any way the GF could take away the memories as you're livin' them!

[He stopped there for the moment, looking at Squall. He didn't know if maybe it was a new spell or something? But he felt at least Squall should be aware of it.]

That doesn't put Duster at enough ease. Even if they're used to protect Jack's world, Duster can't shake off those memories of walking through rooms of computers, jars holding people, imposing machines. He hopes this tech will do them some good, but he's not going to walk around freely.

"...How about we take the medical things first? Since we're not turning back into crystal anymore, we have to keep ourselves safer." He doesn't look at Sparks Nevada as he gives out the suggestion from the end of the room. Sparks...probably doesn't want to remember that.

[Squall pressed his lips into a thin line as Zell explained and shot Selphie a quick glance.

Yuna was here. So they weren't the only ones going through rifts and apparently world hopping was a thing.

Squall responds with a small sigh as he clacks his gunblade case closed.]

What exactly did she say? Something about Cosmos or Order's Sanctuary?

[Squall was being specific. None of those things would mean anything to Zell but they did to him. How was he supposed to explain what was going on to Zell? And even so...what if this world really was fake or a copy?]

There is no better way to silence Duster than to talk a lot. He has a lot of questions, sure, but he has a feeling the Doctor wants to finish everything first.

...If he is going to ever finish.

So as the two panic (over K'pandolu? What's going on?), Duster waves at the doctor, bringing some attention to the man in the armor and spear.

[Yuna... Yuna...? Has Selphie ever met someone named Yuna? The perky brunette couldn't recall but the mentioning of weird stuff being said had her attention regardless.

Just what was going on?]

What else did she talk about?

[Selphie shot a questioning glance back at Squall, wondering how much she should share about Crystallis with Zell. She'd defer to Squall in these cases but she had more info on Crystallis so there was no way to be certain.

Something was definitely up but Selphie couldn't quite figure out what it was.]

Is she still here?

No.

[Zell answered Squall first, confusion on his expression. Did that mean Squall heard other people say weird things too?

He looked at Selphie again when she asked her questions and nodded, replying to both of them.]

I think so. We got back from the fire cavern alright.

But uh, she said somethin' about portals and "machina"... and, I think it was
"losin' track of 'Palitutu"?

[Unfortunately for both parties in the room, Squall did know Yuna. One of the people that insisted they knew him from their time with Cosmos.

And Zell's note about Yuna saying she lost track of Palitutu makes him frown. So entire issue wasn't resolved. And if they all lost track of Palitutu that was bad news.

He didn't want to indulge Zell with too much information about Crystallis because that would only be confusing. If they made it out of this issue and this was the real Balamb Garden then he would explain later.]

Selphie, if we've lost track of Palitutu we have to make sure we're safe here. You know more about Palitutu than me, what should we know? Then we better go back...

[He glances at Zell and then looks away, opening his gunblade case back up.] We better go back and check other worlds. But ours is priority. We check here first.

[He takes his blade out again, grateful for the weight of it in his hand.]

It was also worth pondering whatever or whoever had been in the void's connection. How did it all fit, especially with their crystals? Granted, Vincent didn't have all the information--likely none of them did. Might be time to start looking into it more.

"Jade and Lucrecia have been looking into the crystals, among other things, if I recall." Certainly the latter spent enough time at the Lab. Orpheus tried to drag her out, and when he couldn't, he got Vincent to do so, to ensure she didn't just live at the lab. "Was anyone else focusing on that, or perhaps on the rift itself?

[Selphie's hands tighten around the Chukon-bu on each other of her nunchaku as she looked from Zell to Squall with a serious look on her face. Her answers are more for Squall than Zell but she knows that her friend would find out eventually regardless of the situation.]

Palitutu is the one who started all of this. She wants to know what we're capable of and she wants to play a big old game of cat'n'mouse. If we find here, we might be able to stop all of this.

Yuna sounds like she might know than I do though... but we've gotta make sure that our home is okay before world hopping, I agree.

[Selphie stands up and looks at her two friends.]

We didn't give up when facing Ultimecia. We can't give up here.

[Her hands are white-knuckled and shaking a little bit.]

Right? No quitting now.

[It took a moment of disbelief before Zell finally grasped what they were talking about.]

Woah, woah! Hold on a second! You mean you guys know what she's talkin' about?! And what's this about OTHER WORLDS?! Seriously, am I the ONLY one who doesn't know what's going on?!!!

What the hell happened today?! Everyone was fine this morning!

Sheena - Aselia/Tethe'alla/Sylvarant - (Expect to hear all three)

Dimensional travel really wasn't anything new to Sheena--she had done it before even coming to Crystallis and encountering Palitutu. Dimensional gates had linked Tethe'alla and Sylvarant, making travel possible between the two worlds for those who needed to. Clear destination with every trip.

Not like now, traveling through the Interdimensional Rift. And the name explained why. You really had no clue exactly where you would wind up.

But this time, the moment Sheena stepped out of the portal, she knew exactly where they were, and she stopped, causing Corrine to fly into her as she stiffened while a power and presences she hadn't felt for a long time returned to her. Seeing a well-traveled dirt road before her, she followed it with her eyes, smiling when she saw the two-story building it led to, looking like a hut out in the wilderness in its solitude. Whirling about, she grinned at the others.

"Guys! We're on my world! We're on Tethe...Aselia!"

[ OOC: Zelos and Regal will have their own threads (but they are OTA), Verius will have his, and then any General threads that anyone wants to do. Plotting tag is here, but if anyone wants to join, they are more than welcome to. ]

Zelos/House of Guidance - OTA

Sheena was so happy to be back home that she hadn't even noticed if there were those other than who traveled with her in the area. Kind of a bad move on her part, since she really should be on the lookout for those who know her, so she could dodge them and avoid any confusion later with herself that was already here.

And that was what she was focusing on--finding out the date so she would know the other her's movements.

Besides, what were the chances that she'd run into someone she knew as soon as she appeared here? Especially one who had been on Crystallis before?

Toize Valley Mine/Regal/Altamira - OTA

"Is everyone all right?" Sheena asked as they came out of the forest near the mine. The trip really hadn't been that far (as Zelos reminded her it wouldn't...), but there had been a few monsters here and there--like boars and giant wasps--and which they just might encounter again.

Good thing she had equipped her Custom Job before the battle with Ultima. Otherwise, she never would have had her seals when those powers came back to her here. Which reminded her...they needed to get some of her Cards. Just in case.

Pointing to the entrance of the mine, she said, "There's the mine up ahead. Last time I was here, there was a security system, but we took it out, so I don't think we have to worry about it anymore. You guys ready?"

[ OOC: Once reached, Altamira is the amusement park in Sheena's world. Roller coaster, ferris wheel, casino, luxury hotel by the beach...perfect place to stay while someone else gets intel...and to meet a "king". ]

Verius - OTA

Once everything had been taken care of in Mizuho, Sheena had a personal trip to make. A visit with someone she couldn't not see while she was here. And would hopefully keep her secret safe.

As they climbed the steps of the Tower of Martel (yeah, there were a lot of steps to get to the door), Sheena's pace slowed until she finally stopped at the entrance. her brows knitting together in concentration, she turned to look over her shoulder at the others.

"There's something wrong, I can feel it."

K'pandolu looks amused, for the most part- at least until she's brought into the conversation. She blinks, mid-wave, and tilts her head, assuming a politely puzzled expression. "The Sisters of Plenitude? I've never heard of them." She straightened up, offering a smile. "In any case- Jack's been a good friend."

"That sounds like a good idea," K'pandolu agrees. "And- perhaps there's something that will allow up to carry it all, too." She's not absolutely sure of what that might look like, but something like that'd be too useful to leave alone if something like it had been found.

A backwater town.

[She answers quickly, though surprised at the devastation they arrive to. Judging by the rust, it had been destroyed some time ago, and yet she found herself in a rather horrified awe.]

It... almost looks as though someone-

[She doesn't get to finish the thought, however, a sudden wave of pain sending Lucrecia to her knees. Ah, she'd almost forgotten this sensation; of vision distorting and the world almost becoming white-hot before sensing the earth beneath her again. Perhaps she should have expected it, upon realizing which planet it was. Yet what sort of expectation could ever prepare anyone for the proverbial rug pull?]

Nngh... Not again.

"We did, thanks to our coordination efforts. It's almost surprising how quickly we pulled it off, and at all." A testament to their audacity and unity, however fragile it may be with a few tempers rising amongst the younger heroes. While she believed they would succeed, she wasn't blind to the risks.

"I'm fine," she responded, almost tempted to raise her arms in a way that simply showed that she didn't have a scratch, save what that entity had done to their crystals. "The risks were something I'd accepted long ago, but..."

In other words, she was more than well, but concerned for the others who were accustomed to a certain level of immortality. Crystallis had granted her the means to be mortal again, but for the others...

She sighed. Perhaps the loss of their effective immortality and its effect on the others wasn't the only risk she was thinking of. Her fears and suspicions had been proven correct, after all. He did still have Chaos' power held within, even though it seemed but a fraction of what she'd sealed away in her lab all those years ago. Coupled with two faces she come to expect to see yet didn't, well.

Lucrecia closed the remaining distance, reaching out with her left hand as if to ask if it were alright. They'd both been bitten once before, after all.

...How can you tell?

[Dylas isn't aware of any barrier, though if there was...it'd probably be so that they don't fall to their deaths, he figures. Sure looks like these lands end pretty abruptly.]

We're going to have to find water.

[He's just putting that out there. They could thirst to death.]

He shouldn't have snorted in amusement when Midna fell in the snow.

"Hey—"

He wobbles when Midna suddenly decides to perch on his head. It's a good thing he doesn't fall; it's a long way down, and no one wants to end up squished beneath him. He's all fur and sharp teeth and claws. He has plenty of problems with this, but all Midna gets out of him is a growl and some complaints.

"Who told you could sit up there?! You better not pull anything—"

He has long, silky hair, after all. And he's walking despite himself, if only because he was going there anyways. It's weird as hell having a child-sized imp riding his head.

Can you ask him to speak up? I can't hear what that runt is saying.

[He's just going to ignore Santa, because why not? He's all the way up here, and Santa is...somewhere over there, who cares, he's keeping his eyes on Akane.]

I don't know yet. But there's some kind of barrier. Midna went to check it out.

[So he doesn't know anything, but he's also not going to be bothered by it when Santa clearly knows even less than he does.]

. . . [ Parasraya maintained a neutral face all along, saying no words except for when Jack spoke up. She remained silent for a while longer but ultimately nodded. ]

... Listen to him, he seems to know what he is talking about.

[ With that said she discreetly headed toward the line; tilting her hat down. ]

[ Needless to say in the urgency of the moment, the natives are more than happy for the help in transporting the wounded to safety. The Heroes of Light’s strange looks earn them some suspicious glances from the able-bodied soldiers and there is the very real risk they might get arrested before long once the sirens will have stopped.

But should they follow to the air-raid shelter, the line will take them into the school, which had been re-purposed as a Hospital. The natives are all heading for the school’s basement, which is what they’re using as shelter apparently. On their way there, they might see former classrooms that have been refitted to host the wounded and sick— All doors are open since no one has time to close them in the emergency. Some of the smaller classrooms have also been re-purposed as offices for the doctors working there, with basic nameplates on the doors: ]
