Summary: Following the battle against Palitutu, all the Heroes of Light were transported into the Interdimensional Rift. They were told by Palitutu they would have to find her to prove they can break the cycle-- But before they could reach their destination, a malevolent entity from the Rift stripped them from their immortality...

And now, they woke up in a decaying and dying world, most specifically in a place called Order's Sanctuary. From there they are ready to jump... Into their homeworlds! Feel free to use this post for the Mingle at Order's Sanctuary and should your homeworld be the stage for the Heroes of Lights' next adventures, feel free to make a thread for it and as many sub-thread as necessary! Please refer to the OOC Post for questions and plotting.

K'pandolu nods. "The Hipparion tribe, as a matter of fact," she says. "And I'm sure you will be- how could you not?" Assuming that Jack makes good- or at least decent- choices in the people he knows doesn't seem like that much of a stretch.

She cocks her head, listening intently. "You deal with these kinds of things, too?"

[she makes a disgruntled noise, but nods, listening.]

'True darkness'…? What did that entail, exactly?

[and- she makes a face, looking around. It doesn't look like it's going to come apart soon, but…]

I suppose that means we ought to move on sooner rather than later.

"Wouldn't that be nice, though?" K'pandolu smiles, but it's a bitter sort of expression. "Perhaps we could make something to burn instead."

[She did kind of flirt with him and possibly have a crush on this loser, but Duster never knew how to respond to that. With the potential end of the world looming, they didn't have the luxury of taking time to talk it out. Aoi may have taken months to do it, but he took the plunge first.]

Duster was suspicious of soldiers of any kind, and their mere presence had him glance at anyone walking past the group. Ellana and the Inquisitors appeared to be fine, but he wouldn't let his guard down.

He quickened his pace to better match the hatted body. "Can you? Is there a way to find out where it is?"

What is this, an orgy?

"Oh, there's plenty enough clothes on the island, at least. It may not be as much as a big city, but I've managed to get by."

And he practically wore something new daily, so that was saying a lot.

He didn't say anything, but seeing another, quiet partner there - at least he assumed the blond was with the group - he stood next to him with a hand on his hip and overtly looked him up and down.

"Booty shorts are over there," he teased.

[She's not quite sure where to even begin. Much had happened in the short time that Duster had disappeared, and in such haste that it was difficult for her to recall every detail. Still, the former Princess did her best to recollect all that had transpired after the final needle had been pulled. Familiar names and persons within Tazmily were mentioned, Flint's family and the fates of both Lucas and Claus. Parts of it were hard for her to speak of, not for lack of trying, but because of the memories and the weight of emotions that came with them.

When all was said and done they'd been speaking for what seemed like hours, to a point where it didn't seem like she would be stopping any time soon. It had been some time since she'd been able to yammer on and talk at great length about such things, and to have some one who knew her hardships and had been there through their strange journey made the tomboyish girl feel at ease.

She catches herself and stops mid-sentence, bringing a hand to her mouth before giving Duster a playful jab once more.]

-That's enough out of me! Damn. If I talk any longer I feel like my tongue might jump out of my mouth. Learn any new tricks since I last saw you?

[Zell listened to both of their explanations. First he had to almost literally bite back his questions. He believed Squall, he just didn't know how it was possible! But they'd been through time compression. Zell could admit that he still didn't understand a lot of that kind of stuff.]

Tch, man, I dunno how you've been there when I saw you guys everyday!

[But he could understand that threats to his world must be stopped. It was part of the reason he chose to learn to fight and attend Garden. No matter what that threat was, he wanted to help protect the people he knew and loved.

Eventually he nodded his understanding.]

Alright, so first we gotta find that 'Palitutu'?

[He looked to Squall, expression clearly asking 'what now?' Squall and Selphie still knew more about Palitutu than he did. They might know where to start the rest of their search.]

[Meanwhile, although Spencer anxiously hangs back, hovering as if almost torn whether to go with his hero in the other direction, or if he should be rushing back to Sephiroth in an attempt to convince him that they all need to stay together. Surely in terms of survival safety was in numbers?

It didn't take very long before Spencer decided that he probably wasn't going to be able to convince Sephiroth of that and fluttered quickly back in the wake of his Hero.

Perhaps they'd come across each other later, but for now it seems to Sephiroth that staying -and investigating- the ground look was the safe bet.]

That would be a difficult thing to assess. [Sephiroth answers Rukia, plainly- but then decides that it'd be best if he elaborates some in regard to how such 'energy' works on this Planet.]

Humans lost their ability to commune with the Planet generations ago. The Planet, as it's referred to in this context is essentially the collective consciousness of all life energy as it passes between life and death, a constant recycling process.

I'm unsure where, exactly, a shinigami would really fit into the mechanics of the life cycle, here.

[He might well sound more matter-of-fact, almost coldly logical in the way he speaks of it. Almost scientific.

He looks again to Lucrecia, successfully masking the itching concern for the time being. Before eventually resting his attention on his moogle as he -too- does his best to help the others in helping her. Pondering.]

Might it not make more sense to scope out more locally, in the town nearby, than splitting up and hiking it to Nibelheim for supplies?

[Never mind the fact it's quite high up on the list of places Sephiroth decidedly does not want to go; especially considering what Reno had said about potentially when they were. No matter how there is a curiosity, that sits there in itself, with regards to exactly those documents he's yet to read for himself.]

[When the pressure against her hammer relents, Lust stumbles forward slightly before pulling back, her expression somewhere between suspicious and resentful. But at least she's backing off.]

[Don't expect her to keep pussyfooting around if the Hellions come after her, though. They'll deserve everything they get if that's the case.]

Ruby - A Mission of Importance

Guys, I'd REALLY love to show you around, but there's something very, very, very, VERY important I have to do while I'm here, so, uh... I'll catch you later!

[And Ruby's quick to bail... real quick as she suddenly learns her Semblance is working again, barely getting a hold of herself before she hits a wall. But, she's in a REAL hurry, though...]

Around the Town

[If you want to look around the place, it's quite easy to do so - running around in colorful clothes and boasting strange weapons won't get the citizens to blink an eye - obviously you're Hunters and Huntresses or even wanting to participate in the Vytal Tournament!

Many of the stores here will have modern amenities to pick up, though there are a number of stores that'll have a special item known as "Dust", which has magical properties to them.

Be on the lookout, though, for any possible crooks roaming around or even straggler members of the terrorist group White Fang, abandoned from their failed invasion earlier!

As well, don't try to cause too much trouble - robotic soldiers roam the city as protection, courtesy of the Kingdom of Atlas. Do too much and you might end up on the wrong end of a Paladin mech.]

Beacon Academy

[And you can't go around this city without at least visiting the prestigious Beacon Academy. Not much is going on, what with the tournament getting ready to start, but try not to cause too much trouble - you don't want to get Headmistress Glynda Goodwitch on your case.

Or have Headmaster Ozpin take an interest in you for doing so.]

[Yashiro seems placated by Chiaki's correction and the reception it got, and now he's all smiles again.]

[He's stopped short by Barkeep's question, though, scratching his head a bit.]

To tell you the truth, I got kinda turned around when those guys jumped me. But don't worry!

[Digging into the inside pocket of his suit jacket, he pulls out a small crystal ball.]

I got my emergency crystal right here! We'll just ask it where to go! One in three shot, yeah?

[When Pinkie comes to get Levy later, she'll find her lounging on one of the couches with her shoes off, wearing a pair of glasses and speeding through her latest book. There's a sizable pile of them already sitting next to her.]

[Pyrrha quickly brings her shield up to take the brunt of the attack as she charges through the flames, pulling her sword and taking a powerful swing at Ifrit. She's glowing red as she does so, her Aura strengthening both her speed and the strength of her strike.]

[Levy smiles, pushing up her glasses and stretching before swinging her legs back around to set her feet on the floor.]

I only got incinerated that one time!

[Heaving a sigh, she turns to wave dismally at Dylas.]

[And Pinkie gestured out at the huge venue set up in basically Twilight's front yard.]

[Only Yuri would think a town of happy Christmas people is ominous, that Grinch.]

[And poor Rukia doesn't see it coming in time. She starts to turn when she hears the sound of rapid snow-crunching steps, and BLAMMO. Snowball right in the face.]

MRFFHRGM!!!

[The tiny woman is literally blown off her feet with the force of the blow, landing butt first in the snowbank to make the weirdest looking awkward snow angel ever. She sits up, clumps of snow sliding down her splotchy red face as she stares in aghast outrage.]

You...you...!

[If only she could call her shikai, then she'd show him some real snow! Instead, Rukia will just have to do this the old fashioned way.]

[She pulls a skull-print glove out of her pocket and fits it onto her hand.]

[Scoops up some snow.]

[And leaps at Yuri to slam the snow right into his stupid happy face.]

[Then again, it could wind up being high comedy if she waltzes into a store to pick up some supplies when she actually can be seen.]

I agree. If there is a town close by, we should investigate it thoroughly before moving on in search of the next portal.

[She turns to face Gongaga, folding her arms with a surprisingly pleased look on her face.]

I'm curious to see the native inhabitants of this world!

[And off she goes, apparently enjoying herself on this little excursion.]

Betel-Po's eyes were just as wide as he was thrown away, and he grumbled to himself. Lydia was shaking her head, but there was a resigned smile--she wasn't surprised by her moogle's antics. "Hi Selphie, I'm sorry about that." Overall she was still annoyed, but at least BP had put her less inclined to be shouting for the moment.
