Where: Cactuar Island (first prompt), Castle of Aqures Ixen (second prompt).
When: 28th of November (first prompt), any day during December (second prompt)
Summary: In the first prompt, the Heroes of Light who participated in the event finally localized the Moogle with the Black Mage hat and set out to capture him. In the second prompt, the Moogle is prisoner in a cell and can be interrogated. Please refer to the OOC Post for more details.

Yuna took a deep breath looking around. "It is probably better if we are quick. There isn't much cover and I'm sure he can see us. We can split up but we should go."

With that she took a step forward and headed towards the tent, hoping the others would follow suit and split up accordingly. She hoped that it would be a quick chase if a chase does occur. She was keeping her mind on the task at hand more than anything else though she couldn't help but notice everyone here.

Given the desert, his heavy armor wouldn't have been a very good idea, so while he still had his gunblade at his hip Cloud had opted to use some of the mage gear he still had. It would be less defense, but better than having to clear out all the sand later.

Looking around the group he did some quick calculations. He'd go with Yuna. Allenby could cover Ales. And of course Sephiroth could handle his end of it himself. It didn't matter that they weren't the same as they were back home, he had faith in his childhood hero. Giving a few finger gestures he tried to quickly and silently suggest the arrangement before following after Yuna.

Ales had no practice in fighting with a group, but he understood Cloud's orders. He ran towards one side as quietly as he could, though he stopped at one point to check on where the others were going.

Sephiroth had already figured the same, the tactic was perhaps a little too obvious for his liking but what other option did they have across an open flat of desert. By the time the others were suggesting he were already taking strides off in a wide arch away from but parallel to the side of the tent. He wasn't worried about the distance at all, his Dragoon leap skill had developed into a rather impressive range and he would use it if needed.

Once about as far out as Sephiroth deemed workable, he turned back to survey the area- to see where the others were fanning out to.

As soon as they all seemed to be in an accord to close in, he would hang back and see what happened first. If the moogle made a run for it, Sephiroth would rather be where he could see it.

As they would grow closer and closer to the tent; they could notice something, or not. While the Moogle still hadn't come out of it and was (hopefully) unaware of their presence, there were small crystals planted in a perfect circle in a wide perimeter around the tent.

Should they cross it; that may alert the Moogle. Maybe taking the crystals away would be best first, but this may alert him too. There are only so many tactics they can use at this point.

UUUUUNNNNfortunately, by the time Allenby saw the crystals that would've marked the barrier, she'd already taken steps past them.

Instead she just runs in harder and does the most barbarian thing she can. Rather than give the moogle time to come out of the tent and react, she kicks into the tent, looking to bring the whole structure down atop him. Even recklessness is strategic in it's own fashion. At least if it's on top of him, it's one step easier to capture him!

"Wait! Not yet!"

Yuna wasn't able to stop Allenby from running forward. Her arm reached out as if it would do something to stop the girl. She quickly pulling an arrow from her side not waiting for something to sneak up on them. She had been training and was now thankful for the ease of her motions.

The arrow was ready as she watched the area around the camp waiting for something to happen.

Cloud let out a little curse as Allenby went running. He didn't think the moogle could beat them, but that depended more on them getting the drop on him. Now it looked like they had no choice.

He started running for the tent a moment later, focusing on a spell and gripping his sword as he grew closer. He just hoped the moogle was at least here.

"Allenby!" God damn it. He was stuck with the worst partner. He was tempted to just stay there and watch her pay for her impulsiveness, but then Cloud started running in after her.

He might as well get in closer to better help observe the battle. He walked towards Yuna, who was still a safe distance away, and waited for the Moogle to appear.

If there was one thing Sephiroth had learned; moogles can move very fast when they have to. It was how the mognet even worked the way that it did, sometimes Spencer seemed to just vanish out of thin air when he had duties to run.

Noting the crystal nearest to him, Sephiroth walked closer to it in the moments before he noticed Allenby had made a run for the tent. He cursed quickly under his breath and quickly unsheathed Masamune from its harness across his back. It was all or nothing now, and perhaps that's what drove him to nudge the crystal out of it's position in the sand while his eyes scanned all around the center arrangement of the tent - alert to any movement within the collapsed tent.

He was a fair distance off still, but hopefully he might be able to see a moogle. His grip flexed around his sword handle as he spread his stance- waiting for if he needed to make that leap.

By the time Allenby reached the tent and kicked into it, bringing the whole structure down, she had already commited her mistake. Her plan seemingly worked, but she could hear a voice coming from within the tent.

"Shadow Flare!"

The Moogles cast the powerful dark elemental spell at Allenby, taking advantage of her mistake to deal a fatal blow. Because she had committed the mistake, the attack would be impossible to avoid and if it didn't kill her, it would at the very least knock her out and grievously wound her. With the spell cast, the Moogles would come out of the tent, though he was so fast it would look like a flying light to other characters.

Allenby didn't even get a split second to regret what she'd done before she was engulfed in flames. She knew she messed up from the start and was hoping, at least, to make up for it.

She'll have to bear about it later as she laid there unconscious from the spell surrounded by the burning parts of the tent's tarp.

Yuna wasn't sure what to do but she didn't have any healing abilities at her disposable so she left Allenby to the others and tried her best to aim at the flashing light of the moogle as it darted away. She knew that she might not be able to hit it so she aim ahead of it and let her arrow fly. Hopefully she could at least change it's path.

"He's there!" Shouting probably didn't help but it was at least something. She brought another arrow to her bow and aimed once more.

Cloud cursed as he rushed in. He should have had Runic ready for this sort of thing...not that he had time to cast it. As it stood he wasn't a healer and he couldn't help her until the moogle was dealt with. At least he could keep others from getting hurt.

Once he was close enough to the starting fight he raised his sword and focused on it, ready to absorb any magic sent their way. "Runic!"

Shadow Flare couldn't be missed. Catching his breath in his throat as Sephiroth witnessed it he steeled his resolve against whatever state that could have left his fellow comrade in and quickly his eyes sought out the moogle.

It wasn't easy for him to see the flying light against the backdrop of sun and sand but he saw an arrow fly in from another trajectory - and there he was.

Spirit Surge was cast for it's agility and Sephiroth made to sprint in for the moogle, readying a Leap for as soon as the moogle could be in his range. Masamune neatly curled back along his left arm until up in the air and ready to come down.

The Moogle avoided the arrow and stopped mi_d-air as Cloud protected himself.

"Firaga-Ja!"

The moogle cast the fire spell on Yuna, Sephiroth and Cloud-- Cloud would be spared its effects thanks to Runic, but not so much for Sephiroth and Yuna. Even then, as the Moogle stopped to cast the spell, it would give a chance for Sephiroth to reach him or Yuna's second arrow to hit him.
