WHAT: Ghostbuster Job, you say? Deadpool will teach you the basics!
WHEN: October 10th, after the jobs were given away

If you're looking around the city today, you're certain to find various things. Oh, sure, there's ghosts around, but there's also the sight of a strange shoddy-built platform with a familiar red-and-black garbed nutcase on top. Flanking him are a bunch of Moogles playing a song on kazoos. Anyone who recognizes that song would realize that it's the theme to the movie Ghostbusters.

Which probably explains the jumpsuit Deadpool's wearing, along with the gear strapped to his back and the strange wig on his head.

"Ah, yes, good! You've finally arrived!" he says, pointing to the random Hero of Light passing by. "Listen, it's come to my attention that our ever-sour-faced friend Cid has gave us a wonderful new toy to play with to help deal with our ghostly problem! And since I'm the only New Yorker-ish person around, since I'm certain that 99.9% of the rest of you are Japanese by-products, I, Deadpool, will teach you how to be... a Ghostbuster!"

A beat.

"Besides, I need a Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Harold Ramis to go along with my awesome Bill Murray cosplay and I am NOT recruiting a team of Janines!"

It marks the first time since January that Heroes of Light have appeared in Aqures Ixen.

Summary: Barkeep picks up writing again and asks you for "character inspiration".
Warning: This information will be used to write fanfiction starring your characters. It'll be kept private for the most part until it's eventually discovered some time later.

With with saloon and home burnt to the ground, Mordecai was back to being a stranger on a strange planet, though not as de-powered as he initially was months ago. That did nothing to improve his mood. Getting into fights and turning into a crystal statue for twenty-eight years was more than enough trouble for him, and he took this calm after the storm to attempt to settle back into a normal routine.

The lack of an establishment to run meant he needed his other method of coping with stress and boredom. Barkeep fancied himself an amateur writer, and for the entire week, he makes his home in the observatory, spending hours scribbling notes on stacks of paper, but that's all they were: groups of words, no connection to each other. This was a serious case of writer's block. Therefore, it was time to look for inspiration.

As the other Heroes wander the rooms in the Observatory, the Barkeep will call them over to a table, wondering if he could ask them a few questions.

When: August 1st or 2nd
Summary: Ill at east just 'waiting' for something to occur, Allenby continues her quest; hunting monsters.
Warning: Punchface! And Black Elementals.

Allenby didn't know that there was any more monsters, here and now, than there were before their little timewarp adventure. What she did know, and feel, was that she didn't like just sitting around without something to do. Without something to fight.

And it would take her mind off not having her little buddy Carol around with her. It was just... weird. So she decided that she'd continue her task, even in the past. Hell, maybe she'd come across something that had gone extinct or... was undiscovered at that time. Boredom got her going, and glory and curiosity kept her fueled. She was going to hunt for monsters, and hope for something totally new!

Allenby spent herself a little time getting ready and geared up, since she didn't have Moogles to run notes around. Hopefully she'd be noticed getting ready, and then heading on outside, and waiting a few minutes more on the chance someone she knew would end up either in earshot, or visible. She wasn't going to spend hours hunting people down, or, waiting for that matter, but she'd wait a while to see who popped up.

[Alice has spent most of her time since arriving in this world studying local history and customs. She's been very pointedly avoiding taking up her sword in any way. But with an invading army coming, Alice knows that she can't wait any longer. For better or worse, she has to at least try to get the hang of fighting.

Try being the operative word. Honestly, it's a good thing the jobs come with some basic fighting instincts, or Alice would be in trouble.

((OOC: This is basically freeform exploration of the inside of Stiltzkin's Castle. Each group will have its own subthread to roleplay exploring the castle. Anything significant in the way of monsters to fight, treasure to loot, or information to find will be explained by the mods if any of the groups happen to look in the right places. As for the mechanics of the Castle, physical attack power and Job levels are reversed inside - for example, White Mages will be as physically strong as the more combat-oriented Jobs. As far as Job levels are concerned, it's essentially 12 months minus the amount you actually have in the Job. So anyone at an Initial level would be considered to have the Job mastered, and everything in between - if you're 3 months in, treat your character as 9 months in. Higher level techniques will be weaker than lower leveled ones. All of this information has been made public to the characters venturing into the Castle, so assume that everyone on the expedition knows about that. Any questions that aren't covered here should be directed to the mods.))

Summary: Allenby and company continue their long-term quest for "Capture All Monsters" now hunting the elusive Marlboro; and maybe a Mimic and Wybern in the process

As per the usual, sort of an 'unwritten rule' amongst them, probably even unspoken, Allenby sent out a few letters with an itch to go hunting for a new mark. Finding things on this continent would be a ton easier, given... yanno, stuff!, so after coordinating a date and a goal, he set off to wait for her 'team' at the southern gates to the city. From there they'd head south-ish and camp out until they found something good.

One tentacley threat was already put to rest, so it was high time they set after the other... easily the biggest threat given what they do, rather than how hard they hit; Marlboro (a name Allenby was sure she had heard before, but since she didn't smoke, she'd never know the correlation).

Summary: Yugi asked for help in capturing a monster for him to use for his Beastmaster Job. Now is the time to go out and catch that monster.

Yugi felt a little more comfortable than he had a few days ago when he wasn't sure he would even get the help. However he was still a little nervous over doing this. He knew in most games one needs to fight monsters in order to level up, but there was a difference between being in a game and real life and this just reminded him of that. Taking a deep breath he made sure he had enough potions and the like on him as he expected he might need those later before he had made sure that Hikari was staying at home. He didn't want to have to look after her as well as himself, especially because of her flighty nature.

Once he was confident that he had everything he needed, he grabbed his whip and left the house, not even informing the one house mate that he was aware of living there that he was even leaving before heading off towards the crystal of fire. It was the best place to meet and he was pretty sure the place everyone would know to go to. At least he hoped so.

Summary: Allenby is super-hype about the reward for helping the old man in Edsham back in November. So hype that she's more-or-less blindly running her way into the new Beast Tamer job without... Well... she's set herself up for a bit of disappointment...

Allenby spent the last couple of days preparing, packing, getting everything she might need ready for a long campaign of capturing monsters and hauling them to the newly renewed Monster Arena. She'd put a letter out too and gathered up several friends and new acquaintances to help with the adventure. Chiaki wanted some experience, Elizabeth's Blue Mage could certainly benefit from the capturing process, as could this new girl Yuna.

Okay, she'd fought beside Yuna once before, but it's not like they'd sat down and really had a chat about things.

Allenby and her Moogle, Carol, were more than ready to go and simply waited for her company to arrive to head out!

When/Where: Between Aqures Ixen and the Chocobo Farm
Summary: Elizabeth has her persona compendium and wants to start cataloging the local shadows (monsters), that and she's running out of money and really only knows how to get it from beating it out of shadows.
Warnings: Liz is an idiot.

Elizabeth was bored. It isn't that she didn't appreciate the foreign world in peril, the need to rescue a queen, or the chance to pound on monsters, not at all. It was more the fact that it didn't exactly seem like anyone was doing that. They were more wrapped up in the winter festivals and she wanted enough funds to buy a wish from a fountain. Her new Moogle "friend" suggested getting a job, and thumping shadows was quite practical back home so off she went.

Leaving a note on the door of her house that read simply, "Subjugating shadows, will be back when I have slaughtered enough to appease the fountain spirits. If anyone wishes to join me Theodore will be able to find me." she headed off an hour before sunset.

Now as the sun was setting she head out of the town, looking to find some way of amusing herself.
