When: 28th of November (first prompt), any day during December (second prompt)
Summary: In the first prompt, the Heroes of Light who participated in the event finally localized the Moogle with the Black Mage hat and set out to capture him. In the second prompt, the Moogle is prisoner in a cell and can be interrogated. Please refer to the OOC Post for more details.

Even now, that moogle was still there?

It made Sephiroth wonder if the government really did have any plans for what to do with him now at all. For sure he couldn't be released to attempt to go running back to the Empire again and he understood that well enough but it did seem rather a loose end to just keep locked up in a cell and not do anything with.

There was something though, that Sephiroth in particular wanted an answer about and since his return to military service was delayed probably until after the holidays it seemed a worthwhile opportunity.

"You're lucky you've all that fur." He started with- "I imagine it gets rather cold down here during the night time."

The Moogle looked much calmer by now, but when Sephiroth came in and addressed him, he flied to him and stopped right before the bars separating them. he completely ignored what he had just told him.

"What do you want, Kupo?"

Not that he had been slouching, but there was something about a moogle suddenly flitting towards you that straightened Sephiroth's posture up even further. He knew the bars were there and they were a barrier but even so he hadn't expected that. The tall man narrowed his eyes for a beat but then blinked the stern expression back into a neutral one, even flicked his hair to one side where some of it had started to migrate across his cheek again.

It was clear that the moogle wasn't going to be drawn in by small talk. At the same time as making any interrogation more difficult - it did mean that Sephiroth could get straight to the point.

"Nothing more than anyone else that has been down here to see you. Answers."

The Moogle remained silent for a moment, before flying even nearer, so that he was only inches away from Sephiroth through the bars.

"Then I will tell you the same thing I said to everyone else. Let me out and I will give you your answers, Kupo."

Biggs rolled his eyes.

"You know that's not going to happen-" Sephiroth looked to Biggs and noted the eye-roll, he could only imagine how many times the man had heard the moogle say that.

"So why not stop being so pretentious? We know you're an imperial agent just as much as you know it yourself."

The Moogle looked offended when Sephiroth called him an imperial agent and tried flying past the bars, without any success of course.

"Kupo! I've accepted Kalki's offer, it doesn't mean I am an Imperial agent, Kupo!"

Well that certainly got a reaction, good. Not that he lets his expression change even slightly to give the moogle any indication that he'd been baiting him.

"Isn't Kalki an Imperial?" It's an honest question even if it is leading; Sephiroth hasn't come across Kalki's name at all thus far.

The Moogle flies back to the back to the cell with that and shakes his head.

"I won't reply any more, Kupo!"

As the moogle flies back, Sephiroth steps closer tilting his head to the side to better view the moogle through the bars.

"You've little else to be doing. So if you're not an Imperial Agent, then what are you?"

The Moogle hesitated an instant before replying.

"I am a loyal subject of King Moggle Mog, Kupo!"

"King Moggle Mog is dead." As far as he is aware at least. He hadn't been conscious for the end of that battle. A pile of broken wings and molting feathers on the cold forest floor. Sephiroth shook his head as discreetly as he could, not wanting to give the moogle any fuel that might be used against him.

"So what interest does Kalki have with a dead tyrant of a Moogle?"

"He wouldn't be dead any more if you hadn't lost, Kupo!"

What a disappointment really. So much hopes had been placed on this winged form, oh well.

"She doesn't care about our King, Kupo. She just helped us to test a theory of hers--"

With that said, he abruptly stopped and went silent.

He had been one of the last to fall, out of those chosen to fight for King Moggle Mog, if that meant anything. Sephiroth had spent the months since keeping his thoughts as far from those events as possible; it was part of the reason he had enlisted to the military.

Even though he wanted to scowl though, Sephiroth did not. Keeping a nonchalant expression while he continued to keep a highly intuitive eye on the moogle on the other side of the bars.

"A theory. To do with the black crystals, I'll bet. And how they can be used to influence those of us who have been displaced here.

"So did you meet with her specifically? We know you were seen in certain other Heran company-"

"Kupo!"

The Moogle crossed his tiny arms and looked away.

"I won't answer any more questions now, Kupo."

"I see that I'm getting warmer." Sephiroth did nothing to keep his tone from sounding as intimidating as it could possibly be. He shot a side-long glance at Biggs and then dropped it, formulating his next reply on the long drag of his gaze back to the Kupo which was still attempting -and failing- at being obstinate.

"What did they tell you, those whom you obtained a black crystal from? Surely you know where they were stolen from in the first place. Would it be so bold to assume that you were complicit to that theft as well-"

Biggs, quite honestly didn't seem to care much. The rights of the Moogles may have mattered to Wedge, but there wasn't any compassion on his end.

"I said I won't answer any more, Kupo! Leave now."

... The Moogle seemed determined at least.

"You're never going to get out of here unless you start cooperating. What's the point being so stubborn?

"Are you that afraid of what she'll do to you?"
