[It certainly was something he was doing, keeping an eye out, even if it was in his own way--with his other senses as well. He hadn't been there to help with the keepers of the Tower back in Animus, according to others, but apparently the powers that be decided he would for this... and he wasn't about to let anyone down if he could help it.

It still bothered her a bit that anyone could so easily gain the skill of Eagle Vision, but she was glad it was being used for the good of this world. As for Ira, she knew well by now he was a special case even by this world's rules and she wanted to make sure that he felt nurtured rather than used.]

I can understand that. It all feels a bit much. I often fancied the idea of saving the world...I didn't expect it to be so sudden or drastic.

[Opening her pouch, she pulls out a cloth wrapped bundle.]

But I've been blessed with fine allies. And I want them to know how much I trust them. And that includes going into battle ready for anything.

[She unwraps the bundle, revealing a recent and custom made Hidden Blade.]

[Maybe once, he too dreamed of saving the world. Heh, what a strange concept, now that he thought about it. After all, his was already gone--destroyed by an immortal brat who tried to play god with the lives of all those whose own lives and realities she had ruined. No, if anything... he was going to fight to save those whose lives could still be saved... and the souls of those who couldn't.

Something he never thought he would do, before coming here.

He nods, turning towards her as she continued. A package? Raising an eyebrow, he gave her his full attention. Were he any more surprised, his jaw would have likely (and rather comically) have clattered to the deck.]

This is... ['For me?' he almost asks, but stops himself. Blinking,he attempts to look her in the eye. The surprise melted away into an unsaid understanding as he nodded, accepting the gift.] Thank you, Captain.

[She smiles, happy to see how much the blade means to him. And in that moment she knows she's made the right choice. There are too many who pick up the blade for revenge, or because they thing it would be easy. Kenway picked it up because he needed a change of clothes, though it seemed that destiny played a part in it as well. She herself had taken it up to make a change in the world.

Ira, she can't be privy to all of his thoughts, but she's sure he's accepting it for himself.]

I hope not. [The word 'waste' has many meanings, but she trusts in him. She waits a beat and then she deploys her own blade.]

Now, time to chop off that finger.

She keeps the stare a few seconds longer before laughing and putting the blade away with a laugh.]

But Leonardo daVinci changed the design when he worked with Grand Master Ezio. Now we just opt for a brand or a tattoo on that finger instead.

[She shows off the tattoo on her own.] We can get to that some other time.
