Summary: The first phase of endgame begins! The Heroes of Light are on their way to deal with Garland as they’ve left their unfinished businesses in the hands of their friends amongst the NPCs. Starting from now on, the game is officially in endgame. Please do not post any new posts on Mognet or in the Log Community, unless they’re backdated to before this event. Mingle Thread || The Enterprise / Pandaemonium

[ Cid and his Enterprise are the means through which the character will finally reach Pandaemonium, and they are not alone! Indeed, Ships from Esdham and soldiers are with them for this task. And upon arriving…

On the surface, Pandaemonium itself looks just like the Imperial City: but with a twist. Besides the buildings being crystallized, the bodies of the former citizens who didn’t have the chance to flee can be seen everywhere around. Some of them look terrified and horrified; others look like they were trying to flee at the very last moment. But judging by the number of crystallized bodies, none of them succeeded. Venturing into the castle would reveal the same desolate spectacles, until finding the way down. Beneath the castle, the Heroes of Light will find a labyrinth made of crystal, with various traps meant to impede their advance, on top of Crystal Monsters getting in their way to kill them… But thanks to the Militaries from Esdham, none of them are an issue. Indeed, the soldiers can be seen fighting the Crystal Monsters left and right or disabling and solving the traps to clear the path for the Heroes of Light.

Finally, they will reach a final flight of stairs protected by a Magitek Barrier. None of the soldiers can go through this barrier, but apparently Heroes of Light can. Their Moogles, unfortunately, cannot go through it either. There is a soldier selling a bunch of potions, ethers and other curatives by the final flight of stairs. Might be a good idea to stock up…

The Guardian || Pandaemonium’s Core

[ As soon as the Heroes of Light went down the final flight of stairs, they would finally be able to reach the core of the castle. The location was radically different from the rest of the place; as a matter of fact there was very little to be seen around. The room consisted of a single floating platform that was seemingly resting within nothingness, with nothing but darkness spreading as far as the eye could see. The ground was pitch black and crackled; a few scarce stars shining in the distance as the sole source of light in this place. All in all, the atmosphere in this place was oppressing.

At the end of the floating platform, there was someone waiting, someone those who had attempted to negotiate with the Empire two winters past could recognize. The elderly man was wearing a full set of black armor save for the helmet and he was facing away from the Heroes.

Some characters might actually find the place familiar, and for good reason: this was the very place where they had seen the previous Heroes of Light fight Garland during the Doppelganger Event. The place where Yunalesca had sided with him, hence removing all hope from defeating the guardian and putting an end to the cycle. Unlike in the vision however, the ground wasn’t covered with the dead bodies of fallen Heroes of Light and there was still an exit, the flight of stairs. For now. ]

The Killer Of Worlds || ??????????????????

ADVANCED JOB: Seeker of the End (Crystal Researcher + Calamity Knight)
An Avatar of the Calamity who was a Hero of Light in her past life, before being born anew as a native like countless Doppelgangers. Kalki is the only Avatar who wasn't born as such, but became one in the course of her life, more specifically as a result of the Aqures Tosf accident. She wants to use the Calamity to absorb all of existence and create a new world, where death and life would no longer exist and where all those who died would be once more. According to her, only a Hero of Light can merge with the Calamity to accomplish this plan and thus become God.


Kalki extended her hand toward the abyss, and something seemed to materialize in the palm of her hand.

"You would oppose my design, yet you have no alternatives to offer."

Soon one of the four Black Crystal was floating above the palm of her right hand however, with dark energy swirling around it. However, Kalki didn't use any attacks, nor did she seem to be preparing to attack. As such it is unclear whether she does intend to attack eventually or not. Heroes who want to take the initiative are allowed to, or they can wait, however they prefer.

Mingle Thread || Sephiroth & Spencer - The Final Flight of the Enterprise

When the deck first lurched sharply to the one side off the edge of the crystalline pillar which erupted into the air, Sephiroth had just about managed to catch his breath but then found the adrenaline spiked all anew. Quickly he spread his frame into a crouch so that his center of balance was lower, the last thing he needed now was to be pitched over the side. Like so many others, white-knuckle clinging to a railing seemed to be all that mattered in the moments before Ales had gotten in a position to launch the Enterprise finally as high and as fast into the sky as possible.

They'd need some assistance down below, given the urgency of the situation and alongside the new adrenaline still rushing alongside his still-firing high-energy levels Sephiroth made for the bridge first- offering a hasty look around at everyone else around- before promptly marching for the direction he knew that the engineering crew would be working flat out.

In the meantime Spencer had managed to find his way more up towards the bridge, gladly taking a hi-elixir from Corrine as she was asking about--

"Mogdelina-! I'm sure that I saw her as we were leaving, kupo." The small bespectacled -albeit with one of the lens now cracked- moogle wrung his front paws together worriedly as he flitted up so that he might someone get high enough to spot her. He ended up hugging the elixir as he sunk back down towards the deck of the bridge. His pouting face not so far off chewing his bottom lip; his over-sized pom was sure shuddering.

"I didn't see which way she went Corrine, I'm sorry but-" Spencer had been clung pretty tightly to the middle of his hero as he'd gone through the streets of the crumbling Heran capital being as much a Hero as he always knew he had been "...she's got to be OK, though..."

The hi-elixir wouldn't halt the fatigue that would eventually tick-over as a result of Sephiroth's custom job, but until it did or the Enterprise was knocked from the sky then the silver-haired soldier could be found below decks, supporting the duty officer however he could in the perpetual chaos within the ranks that was caused by the world outside apparently being rend asunder.

His specialization wasn't in aerial militia, at all, but at the very least this way he was involved in something rather than the no-doubt rabid discussions that might be going on within the Heroes of Light as they played spot-the-stirring-crystal- on the surface.

Battle fatigue be damned, if he took a rest now, there might not be any coming back around for anyone.
