No, up here is fine. I feel a bit better in the air when I can see the sky and the ground anyway. Sorta. Inside you just feel the movement and the rumble of the engine and it's disorienting.

[He glances off into the distance, wobbling a bit as he's now thinking about getting airsick and making himself psychosomatic in the process.]

No I just...It's hard to tell what to think about this: moving on Garland and everything. We've been doing this for so long and yet I guess I never felt like we were coming to the point where we had to fight him. But we're out of time aren't we?

[He leans against the railing, cupping his chin in his hand.]

Why can't he be one of those villains who talks loudly and has a big dumb laugh and just has a big come get me sign on him. At least then we'd be sure about taking him on at least.

[Rukia's mimicking his position, cupping her chin with the same hand, resting her other arm on the railing. For all she knows, his world really does have villains like that. It wouldn't be the strangest thing she's ever heard.]

To be honest, I'm not clear on how much time we have available. The Calamity seems like it's spread as far as it can. While I wouldn't advocate procrastination, I don't think we need to act hastily just yet. There is much to be done, and once Garland's agreed not to activate the time loop, it's simply a matter of working through our plan one step at a time. Let's focus on this step for now.

[Cloud remains quiet for a time, but eventually she looks over and nods to her, tightening his expression into a resolute half frown. He's not unhappy but he is chewing the inside of his cheek as he steels himself.]

You're right. This would probably be the only shot we get at this, even if we weren't expecting him to be planning to fight us to the death.

[He clenches his fist, raising it up as his other hand grabs the opposite bicep.]

But if he wants to see if we're willing to stand for what we believe in then he's gonna.

[He just wishes that he could so easily sit with the idea of Garland "agreeing" to something.]

I was told that a warrior's conviction needs to be as sharp as his weapon. I have no reason to doubt our chances.

[All of them have trained hard, facing their inner demons, falling, and rising up again with the support of their friends. This fight should be no different.]

We'll see what comes of our confrontation. I haven't forgotten what the Sage told us, that whether he is friend or foe is ultimately up to us. He has suffered in his role long enough; I see no reason to strike him down if we can persuade him with the steel of our resolve.

I won't disagree with that, but we need to be careful. I'd love for this to turn out as best it can but we can't let our guard down if we want to survive. I don't care what anyone says, none of you all are worth him in a trade.
