Summary: The first phase of endgame begins! The Heroes of Light are on their way to deal with Garland as they’ve left their unfinished businesses in the hands of their friends amongst the NPCs. [ He looks to Mikleo with mild surprise before offering a thankful smile. No matter what, Mikleo was always there for him, and he was grateful for it. Still, he doesn't want to worry him.

He shakes his head. ]

No, it's just... ... I'm glad I could come here in time to help.

[ Mikleo stares at him for a long moment before sighing as he took his spot next to his friend, looking off. ]

It's never too late to help and there plenty of things you can still do as well.

[ He started pausing a moment. ]

I'm glad you're here. It gives me hope that we will be able to save this world, ours and the many other worlds belonging to everyone that was brought here.

[ Sorey can't help but smile at that. Mikleo always seems to know what to say to make his worries fade. He may look on the bright side often, but that didn't stop him from worrying when the time came. ]

... You're right. We've always made a really good team, Mikleo. [ Together, it felt like they were unstoppable. ]

[ It's only because he's equally bad at this as Sorey is. He felt that way when he came here about a year and a few months ago. He wondered if anything would change if he did but there's no point on dwelling on the what ifs. Right now they have the here and now and that meant there is so much they could do.

Don't we? There are things we can do together as a team than by ourselves. I'll admit that much.

[ He did feel that having Sorey here helped made him feel more confident about the future ahead. He believed they'd be able to conquer just as much as Sorey did. ]

Do you remember when we armatised for the first time?

[ They weren't just strong, but they worked together well all-around. After all, working as a team wasn't just about strength - but understanding one another and working together side by side. ]

Yeah, it was an eye opening experience.

[ He replied thinking about the nostalgic memory. There was always strength through understanding each other. It was through that understanding that they could execute things so well. Thinking on it, they both had grown quite a lot since their first advance into the world and here they were again, trying to save the world, albeit in a different way but it was still their way. ]

This isn't that different from that time huh?

[ It's diffeorent, but at the same time...

He nods his head. ]

We'll get to work together a little like that again.

[ With new abilities - as a team. Though, Sorey hasn't been able to receive as much power as Mikleo has here. At the same time, he knows that they'll end up fighting together already. ]

[ Not too different but at least they were still side by side fighting the threat that was trying to harm the world that they're trying to save. Mikleo was determined to be the one that will protect Sorey this time.

It was one of the main reasons why he worked so hard at these job classes and why he almost collapsed during the battle with the Knights of Round. ]

That's right. There's nothing to fear when we have each other.

[ Mikleo took a step forward as he looked off a bit, and then turning to Sorey after a few moments. It was true but Sorey could do a lot even if he didn't have a lot of power. Mikleo knows it and he believes it. Sorey was just as determined as any veteran Hero of Light. He'd surely make it. ]

This time, I'm going to protect you.

[ Mikleo blinks at that before smiling, expression soft. He appreciates it, but... He shakes his head. ]

We've been protecting one another all this time, haven't we?

[ It is true that Sorey's stubborn when it comes to Mikleo, but they've always had their backs when it comes to fighting alongside one another. That's something that Sorey hopes can be true here, as well. ]

[ He knows that this wasn't going to work out the way he wanted but it was worth a shot. He stifles a small laugh. ]

You're right, we have been but it's just how things are isn't it?

[ There is no doubt in Mikleo's mind that Sorey will do just that but he can't hide the fact that he is still partially shook up with all of the things that happened here. He can't help but feel a bit more protective than usual. ]

[ Sorey's gaze falls for a moment before he nods. Still, he wants to try. ]

... Yeah. You're right. Still, I'll contribute anything I can. And... thanks, Mikleo. [ In advance, he means. ]

[ Mikleo knows that Sorey will so he will not stop the other from wanting to do what he wants. Of course, that doesn't mean he won't be fussing about Sorey on that note. ]

Having the mindset is already more than enough.

[ But, he'll take what he can. Still, he smiles brightly in return to Mikleo's other gentle answers. Mikleo always was kind, despite how roughly he could tease Sorey sometimes. ]

[ He replied with a small breath of concern but beyond that he meant nothing offending by it. ]

I suppose if you really feel that way, we can always tackle a few more quests or charity work in the Santa Village. I'm certain they'll need a ton of help.

[ He'll be as supportive as he can be, anyway. ]

I don't mind at all if that's what you want to do. The more we get done now, the more chances to ensure the safety of others during this ordeal.

[ Mikleo can agree with that if Sorey really wants to. He's not one to turn his friend down when he earnestly wants to do something. ]

[ C'mon he's going to get embarrassed and he didn't feel like he did much to begin with other than keeping Sorey up to date with all the things that happened here. At least ot him it's really not much. ]
