Reluctantly, Minato obeyed Ace's telepathic words and exited the collapsing scene via Ira's portal. Kharon was there to greet him on the other side, fussing and worrying even more than he usually did, reasonable given the circumstances; but Minato was unable to answer. Everything happened in a blur, he was just tired now after the adrenaline wore off. His eyes were heavy, but it was nothing compared to the unease about Kalki's plans and awareness this world didn't have much longer.

He'd been gone from Crystallis a long time, there was a lot of information he needed to be brought up to speed with and shouldn't tune out. Slumped against the wall, Minato sat down quietly, paying as much attention as he can before fatigue catches up to him. He isn't looking at anyone anymore, but slips off his armband to look at it as a source of comfort. Instead, it reminds him of a friend he'd lost then too. For all his speeches earlier, he wasn't sure anymore a life without death was so bad, even if the sacrifice required to attain it was much too great a cost.

Kharon was beside him, and gently pat him with his little hand.

For once there were no objections from Tear when Ace carried her away, but it likely had to do with her being too tired to do so after keeping up the soldier front throughout the entire battle. Though they were by no means out of danger, being aboard the Enterprise meant she could try to rest a little as she succumbed to laying her head against her partner's shoulder, almost as if she were about to fall asleep.

Then her eyes opened as Jade's voice reached her ears, taking her a moment to register the question and subsequently recall the vision she had seen. Lips thinning, she nodded.

"Yes. All four were in our possession, passed on to four of the Avatars by us Heroes—Kurma, Prajapati, Varaha and Mograma."

Frowning slightly, she glanced around the ship. The setting was similar, but it couldn't have been this moment, surely...

"Ramza!" The Barkeep would continue calling for him even as the ground crumbled beneath him. Everyone else would take Ira's portal or run, but falling into the abyss wouldn't worry the man with Teleport. He'd yell at the image of the young man who would hate to see his body used in such a way until he woke up or Kalki relented. He'd talk at her until she had enough. Humans and robots alike have told him he talks too much, and if that could drive away some, he may as well attempt to drive away Kalki.

"What'd I tell you about gettin' yourself into trouble, huh? Goin' off, checkin' on dead folks right after they die, and now look at what happened to you! Kick her outta your head and come home already! This is that play all over again, what with the roles and stories and such. She wants you to get mind controlled and blow up the planet? Don't let her! Go and improvise so no one dies and everyone gets married! Wasn't that a good play we put on!"

But no reaction to the memory surfaced on Ramza's face. It was nearly a year ago they were transported to Hera and pulled into a play with doppelgangers, but it would always be a fond memory for Mordecai.

"By the way, Kalki, this story you're puttin' on? You got no creativity!"

In response, the last of the ground beneath Ramzki collapsed, and his body quietly fell below. Just s Mordecai reached his hand out, he felt his feet touch air, and he reacted by Vanishing just out the entrance where Saori and the item guy were.

He hoped the adrenaline rush would be enough to push back the image of his Ramza falling to his death. No, he couldn't be dead. The others could be dead. They--

"Dangit! Grab onto me! We ain't givin' up just yet!" He grabbed the item guy by the sleeve and reached out to any other Heroes that were severely lagging behind, Bonnie and Saori included.

"We'll talk where it's safe!"

Once everyone that he was aware of in the vicinity held on, he used the remaining mental strength to Teleport them onto the ship. It was too much for the Barkeep, who had never gotten this tired when he had the infinite MP of the Force Galactic, and he collapsed onto his knees before planting his face into the wood floor.

...It was smooth, clean wood.

It may have been a short trip or a long trip through the corridor, but with each step as she brought Reno through it, Sheena's anger grew. Luckily, she kept it in check long enough to make sure both the red-head and Cloud were through before letting it erupt.

"We were tricked! Again! That's what the hell's going on!" she raged at Cid. "That whole thing with Rialynn being possessed was a test, wasn't it? To see if we would--and could--kill another Hero if we needed to. Because you knew this would happen!" She didn't care if she was right or wrong, she had a point to make.

"That's why all those plays have a different number of Heroes in it, and different outcomes, isn't it? Because everything repeats, and why we were always told the ideas we were coming up with wouldn't work--because they were either already a part of a previous cycle and hadn't done anything, or weren't because people were afraid to try something different! So why not just tell us the truth and admit that you don't want the cycles stopped because you know what will happen to you--a future already predetermined by your own history!"

And with that, she turned and stormed away to look for the Moogles in her care.

"We'll do that when we get to safe place c'mon! We can't get caught in this mess!"

He ushered the girl to go ahead while he ran with the unconscious Prince on his back towards the opening that Ira kept for everyone. He may not know the guy but he trusted that he would get them all to safety so as he dashed at Ira, making eye contact as he shouted at the fellow Hero, "HEY YA GOT ROOM FOR A FEW MORE!?"

Because he could run to the Enterprise on his own but with Chrom, he wasn't sure he'd make it. Better take up the offers of the other Heroes who could teleport and or transport people back and forth. The ground was crumbling so it was really intense just trying to get to the other Hero.

As much as he wanted to argue with everything that was going on, he didn't. There was no need to. Things would pan out at some point. They'll figure out something.

He wasted no time in making his exit. As the ground began to crumble beneath his feet, he quickly judged the two options before him, before tossing the staff he'd awakened with through the corridor the kind lad had left open for the others, reappearing aboard the Enterprise in a spark of crimson light as his Limit Break finally reached it's end. Had any grabbed onto him as he'd done so - like his now confused and disoriented moogle companion - they'd find themselves there as well, though most likely not feeling their best (and likely attempting to keep their latest meal from vacating their stomachs).

Ardyn, meanwhile, simply seemed exhausted from the ordeal, moving aside as Cleitus made for the railing to purge his little furry self from the warping sickness. "Ergh, you'd t-think I'd be used to that by now, kupo..."

"Now isn't the time to be shouting at our allies," he stated in a tone indicative of a elder of authority, before turning to the collapsed Barkeep, pulling out an ether from his pocket and offering it to the man. "And I believe you require this far more than I."

Saori held onto Bonnie as she reached to grab Barkeep's hand. Just as they teleported out, she looked back one last time at the now crumbling platform.

She helped the item vendor up on his feet before checking on Mordecai.

"Thank you for getting us out of there. Rest up while we can." She looked up at Ardyn as offered the Ether. The anger she felt towards him when he stopped her from attempting to make a Kalki-kabob softened. Instead she just gave him a nod before finally diverting her attention to the moogle she dragged back.

"I'm sorry, Bonnie, but we can't go back. I wasn't able to see if Mary and the others are..." She choked back the tears. Brigid flew in as soon as she heard word of the Heroes returning and found her hero with her hood drawn up. Quietly, she went over to Saori and gave her a hug. The Assassin just needed a minute to compose herself.

"I don't blame her for lashing out like that but it's not going to solve anything. Ramza was always the type to see the best out of others. Of course Kalki would use that to her advantage."

She lets go of both moogles to take out Garland's sheathed sword as proof of his demise. "I don't know if this sword's got anything special to it, but I'd like to hold onto it if no one objects."

At least it seemed the order to retreat from the City had already been given, yet that didn't stop Sephiroth -in his determined though something staggering sprint for the outskirts- from taking a good note of how his fellow soldiers were also going about getting out. He slowed on more than one occasion, and diverted through dangerously crumbling streets perhaps more than he should have; avoiding falling debris and rallying those soldiers who might otherwise become lost.

As a result, finally -and perhaps one of the last- Sephiroth urges himself to push that sprint for the final stretch that would put him on the Enterprise. No matter how much his legs, or even his whole body, were burning from the exertion and would most likely punish him later. When close enough, Spencer was launched in the direction of the airship and he flew on ahead a few paces; just to make sure that the crew saw that another Hero was incoming.

Once aboard the deck, the seasoned Colonel gripped at a nearby railing -so he wouldn't be knocked over by the constant shaking- and began to slow his breathing in the same way an athlete might do after a marathon. Though Sephiroth's eyes appeared to be firmly only a few feet ahead of himself, pinned to the deck, he was indeed still listening to the comments and outrage being thrown around.

He didn't disagree particularly, with Sheena, but taking it out on Cid wasn't going to help at all. As for what they were going to do now; well, Sephiroth still couldn't speak past the steady gulps of air he was taking, but it seemed to him that take off was imminent.

There was a time to argue. There was a time to be stubborn. That was neither of those times as the constant bucking of the platform was scaring Selphie more than her face was hopefully showing. She didn't bother to shoot a look back at the possessed Ramza but merely nodded at Yuri as she started to run for Ira's portal. She had a feeling that they were some of the last heroes to evacuate but crossing the decaying platform felt like it was taking an eternity.

She shouted defiantly at the platform to not give out on them as she jumped the last few feet into the portal. The darkness swirling around her for the briefest time was enough to drain the colour from her face as she eventually stumbled onto the deck of the Enterprise. She was noticeably shaking from the brief trip before moving out of the way. The adrenaline from the battle was starting to wear off as she loosened the belt around her shoulders and pulled Falchion off her back to set it on the ground. She sank next to the sword and shot a petrified look at the portal.

"Selphie," Jaelyn called out before rushing to her partners side. "Are you all right?!"

"I'll be fine," Selphie breathed out. "Yuri and Chrom were right behind me. C'mon, don't die in there. You're both needed, now more than ever."

She didn't ever dare to ask if everyone was all right; she already knew the answer.

Thank goodness for the Ceiling Walking skill. With everything tilting, Sonic had buried Caliburn into the floor to stop his own falling. At Cid's calling, he activated the skill and made his way to the wheel.

"Hey, someone toss me Ales!" he called out. "He can pilot these things - I'll keep him balanced!"

Jack clings to the nearest railing to keep from falling too far. His own heavy armor is working against him here. No really, next time, equip Dragoon. Who's driving this thing, the Doctor?

But he works his way back to Jade. He can see where he thinks this is going. "I dont think we've missed our chance for that." Time doesn't quite work like that. "The worst idea is that one of us tries to duplicate what Kalki is doing with one of the Black Crystals we already have. Can we at least agree nobody is going for that one? What we saw in those visions probably doesn't apply because we've conquered our Calamity selves. Again, not entirely a waste. But the will of the Calamity might still overpower us."

"We need more time." That's what this is all coming back to.

"That future was just one of the possibilities, perhaps-..."

Ace's response was cut short by the airship's dramatic turn, causing him to instinctively tighten his grip around the girl as he lifted his feet off the floor. No point in relying on the force of gravity now.

Struggling with locating the Teensie among the confused crowd, he instead directed a quick Levitation spell at Cid, and then everyone else who might need it.

He had to believe.

Buffeted as he was by the earthquake, Kenshin reached the Enterprise, seizing the railing and pulling himself over with one of the Heroes' help - but it was necessity alone that led him to follow the others in their escape. The great pillar that vaulted from the ground beside the ship struck him with a glare like the judgment of a divine being. Within, Kenshin was not so sure it was just like that. Not anymore.

He'd lived through war before. He'd pledged to stand with them, knowing some would not return. But to think...

As he held himself to the railing, Kenshin looked, again, at the abyss into which Miss Rialynn, Pyrrha, and the others had been thrown. And this abyss was so deep it did not even seem to stare back. Some of the hollowness in his eyes from that time in Rakinmura, that town of broken men and souls in despair, touched them now. He had to believe they were all right, that they were not yet beyond the reach of their help. He had to believe that...whatever force had overcome Ramza, it could be driven from the young Beoulve.

He had to.

It was just hard.

The hardest thing of a hard, hard day.

Valefor had come to life in a cloud of pyreflies, just as the ground beneath Yuna's feet gave way. She clung to the mane of feathers as her wings pounded against the air to gain flight.

There was a quick survey of panic as the searched the chaos for her cousin, though the aeon seemed to have caught onto her intentions first, scooping the blonde up in her claws, after a quick dip down into what seemed like the bottomless chasm.

That was close.

More of a glider than a flyer, especially under so much weight, Valefor bat her wings heavily, moving to reach the Enterprise and deposit the two Spirans to safety.

The Barkeep heard screaming in the general direction of Cid and Sheena, but he wasn't able to make it out from the din of the world breaking and his brain swirling from exhaustion. The cool glass of the vial of Ether touched his hand, alerting him of something going on. He rolled his head to the side to see Ardyn's and Saori's feet.

"Thanks. It ain't nothin' to help out folks." With a tired flick of the thumb, he popped off the top and tipped it over so that the contents flowed into his mouth. That would teach him to overuse his magic.

No thought-out epiphany would be had, considering that the ship tilted to its side, sending the old man rolling across the deck. The railing stopped him and knocked the wind out of his gut.

Mogdelina heard Sheena's words, but they sounded so far away. Albel... her stupid, stubborn, strong Hero was gone. She fluttered for a moment as the ground collapsed, watching the others continue to help the injured.

She could still help. She could still be a hero, too. Just like Albel.

"Come on! Keep going!" She flitted from body to body, steadying people, handing back weapons. She could see the stairs shaking, saw Sephiroth and Spencer stumble -- !

"Sephiroth!" She charged into him, the impact of her tiny body helping to reorient him. She grabbed onto his long silver hair and rode the rest of the way out until she saw Zack. She recognized the chocobo as Cloud's.

Well, no time like the present to ride one of those, too. "Yah!" Mogdelina leaped from Sephiroth's head to Zack's back, scrambling up and taking the reins. She couldn't see past the chocobo's neck, but she was confident Zack knew the way back to the Enterprise.

Sohma practically fell upon Reno's body as Sheena and Cloud emerged from the portal of darkness. His relationship to the redhead had been... complicated. They'd had more than a rough start. But in the time they'd been forced to spend together... things had changed. Sohma still wouldn't say he liked Reno, but he'd learned about the other man, he'd grown to understand him. He respected him.

He patted at Reno with his tiny paws. "He's barely breathing, kupo!" With low health to begin with, that corridor had taken its toll on the Turk.

"WOAAAAAH!" Ruby had gotten snapped out of her stupor that had kicked in from the point Kalki had died to when the ship tilted, quickly snapping open Crescent Rose and slamming the scythe blade into the floor to keep her from falling.

Saori was quick to activate Ceiling Walking and at Sonic's suggestion, she had an idea. "Keep an eye on them," she told Ardyn, referring not only Barkeep but the two moogles. Without an explanation, she broke into a run towards Ales.

"Sorry Ales, but time isn't on our side!" She snatched up the Teensie like he was some sort of sports ball and continued her mad dash to the goal. Hopefully this distance is enough and she doesn't hurt him too much as she used Throw to send him flying towards the wheel and Sonic.

She didn't stop there since she learned a thing or two from Mary about airships. They were gonna need all the help they could get.

"I should hope no one is going for that plan!" Jade raised his voice to answer Jack over the ruckus, gripping a railing to steady himself. "Especially since we already have Ramza on his way to so-called godhood by the looks of it, we don't need another one--"

Sohma's cry for help interrupted that train of thought. Right, Jade was still on healing duty, wasn't he? With the help of Vanish, he was able to reach Reno without falling over and knelt by the Turk's side to cast Curaga. Hopefully this would all end soon, as he had very little magic left to spare...

Ales was a good person. Okay, so he wasn't, but he was working on that part. He had two jobs, he worked hard, he went to meetings, he built a personal minicipter to keep him aflot for several seconds. He had dignity. He did not deserve this.

The yelp of surprise as he was scooped up was followed by a scream of terrorh as he streaked across the remainder of the distance, with the steering wheel as his target. He was going to die. His body would crash his nose and he'd fall off the ship.

To prepare for his end, he held his hands out in front of him to cushion the collision inky to find himself gripping a handle of the steering wheel. It spun for half a revolution in the direction of a safe orientation.

Huh. Saori did it. If they got out of this alive, he'd thank her and kick her.

"Hold onto something!" He yelled, not sure if anyone would hear him. Using all his Teenaie strength and airship training, he pulled on the wheel to send the ship back into its original position. He would fly them back to Aqures Ixen if he had to.

Reno gasped and sat straight up, gripping at Jade's arm. Poor Sohma clung to his Hero's shirt. That Soporil had really knocked him out, and he would have easily died in his sleep if he'd stayed in the darkness for even a few more minutes.

"Thanks." He held onto Jade for a moment more as they rocked, not only to steady himself but to ground his healer. Looking for Johnny, he was relieved to see he was in good hands with Vincent.

With a grunt, he pushed himself to his feet. Things were still a little blurry as he blinked the drug out of his eyes. Ales... Reno struggled with unsteady gait across the ship, wishing he had his Ninja skills. But being a Turk meant he'd be able to help fly the ship if anything happened to Ales or Saori.

"Brace yerselves! Another one's comin', port side!"

Reno was getting flashbacks of the shaking pillar over Sector 7. Focusing on the others was helping. Saving people instead of leaving them behind... that counted as atonement, right? It was something.

"Don't have to tell me twice!" Ales yanked the wheel so that it spun rapidly, and while he had the opportunity he turned on the Enterprise speakers to address the crew. "GET THOSE ENGINES RUNNING LIKE YOUR LIVES DEPEND ON IT, BECAUSE THEY DO. I AM TURNING THIS SHIP AND FLYING AS FAST AS I CAN."

He slammed the lever up to cut off communication. The workers below did not need any more explanation that that if they wanted to escape the wave in time. The wheel slowed down. Ales took it once more and steered it away from the pillar. Eyeing the distant horizon that was his goal, he took a deep breath in preparation for the kick.

Without looking away, he addressed the people standing near him. "Warn me if you see any other pillars coming up," he muttered.

In the end, somehow he managed to somehow make it thanks to the help and dropping in with Chrom still on his shoulders. Eventually he set down the poor unconscious here to the side, while sitting next to him. He hoped that Flynn and the others made it to safety.

He looked around for the teen that was with him earlier. As long as she made through the teleporting with him, she should be fine.

"Man that was a close call," he sighed. He knew that everyone was already talking among themselves and there were angry heroes. He saw Selphie talking to her moogle so he was fine with that. He looked around for Rukia, Hisui and everyone else that he knew. The ship was being rocked back and forth so he had to ground himself and hold onto Chrom.

At the same time, Repede and Acrisius went for him and Chrom to make sure they were both okay and Repede dragged the prince to a safer area with his dog strength while Acrisuis buried himself in Yuri, worried for his life. The man couldn't help but pat his moogle and tell him that things were okay.

"GOT IT! Repede watch him!"

Yuri shouted when he heard Ale's speak. It was easy right, looking out for pillars?
