Summary: Monster catching silliness

{The monster arena sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun, so Bartz is excited to contribute. Over the next week, he can be found on the calm plains, monster catching equipment in hand. He set off to do this on his own, but he'd certainly welcome any help people wanted to give. Feel free to run into him wandering around, or even join him against...}

[A Buer perhaps? Actually it looks like he's got this one well in hand. The creature is angrily flapping around him, firing it's confusion beam, but can't seem to land a hit.

A few days later, he can be found fighting a Mandragora. Actually, it looks like he could use a hand against this one. It's horrible scream seems to be really throwing him off.

And someone should definitely warn him about that dancing frog he's looking at. There's no way he should be taking on a Touch Me solo at his level. Although it's entirely possible he just plans on watching a dancing amphibian because he's bored.

Or maybe you just want to congratulate him on capturing a Geezard? Or not. Because let's be real, anyone could catch one of those things. At any rate, he's caught one and is dragging it back to the monster arena.]

"Um... No?"

Yeah, he really doesn't have a clue where she's headed with this.

"I mean, I thought we were trying to catch one of everything..."

He's trying to imagine what you could do with ten goblins. Train them to do tricks and set up some kind of goblin stage show maybe?

"Well yeah, one of everything matters, but, like I was sayyyying... Only one goblin, only one Buer, that's not a hard fight at all. But if you fight a bunch of them, then you have a challenge. We're catching them for the arena where you can fight monsters safely, which means if you want you can fight just one, or ten of them or whatever, and really push yourself."

If Bartz can't get it from that...

"Anyway, let's find some more. We'll work on more Beurs if we find them."

Which won't be too hard, here's two more coming!

"Oh! I get it!"

He hadn't been thinking about what happened after the monsters were caught. It made sense that the old guy would need more than one. Now that he's on board, Bartz starts looking around for their next target.

"Hey! There's a couple more! Let's go get 'em!"

How lucky are they? More monsters! He turns to their new prey, flipping his spear around into an offensive position.

Both Allenby and Carol, her Moogle, take a fighting stance, Allenby's not unlike boxing while Carol favoring Tae Kwon Do. Both Allenby and Bartz feel the buff of Haste before the Gundam Fighter leads the charge.

For the sake of capturing monsters and not bashing skulls in, though, Alleby really has to pull her punches at this point, and it's not unusual that she lets her Moogle actually knock a monster or two out!

--- Trash mobs are easy! ---

"I'm glad you get it now! But, eventually we're going to have to go after big game. I've got some friends who are doing this too. We should probably work together to get it soon. You know, before someone else does!" Really as long as she is a part of the matter, anyone else could be involved.

Trash mobs are easy. And having haste active makes it almost unfair. It doesn't take long for the two of them to take out their latest opponents. In a way, it's almost boring. Which might be why Bartz perks up a little at the mention of 'big game.'

"Big game? Do you mean the Chocobo Eater? I heard there's a pretty big bounty out for that one."

Plus Bartz really likes chocobos, so it bugs him that there are these big nasty monsters going around eating them. Someone needs to put a stop to that.

"Yup. I mean, I plan on making this my job so I'd at least like some part in capturing the big targets." she explains. "We need to get everyone together first, and I already put my friends on notice to get together. We just need to meet up and go after it!"

Allenby clenches her fist, ignoring that there are a few goblins nearby.

"Sounds good. Count me in!"

He grins and gives her a thumbs up. But then tilts his head to look at something behind her.

"Uh, one question though..."

He points at the goblins.

"Should we take care of those guys first?"

"Oh, yes. Definitely. Don't hit them too hard, okay. We can get them all at once like this!"

Again, she and Carol are ready to fight it out!

He laughs.

"Wow, you're pretty fired up! Okay, let's catch us some goblins!"

He whirls his spear around in another Crescent Moon. It's pretty handy being able to hit all your enemies at once.
