GET BACK TO WORK!
Characters: MarKus and OPEN (mostly newbies?)
Where: Aqures Ixen - Haley's Anvil
When: March 7th - 11th
Summary: MarKus starts hammering out gear for the rescued arrivals. Upon request, of course!
Warning: Foul language?

After having that slacker Kugami put up new advertisements, MarKus has finally put himself back to work, at the forge where he belongs. He'll be on break from adventuring for a while, but there was a hefty handful of people who were going to be in need of gear that fit them, since they surely didn't start with a damn thing being imprisoned right away. Surely someone needed that special sword or arm guard just to feel a little more comfortable with things.
And you know, defending oneself from the creatures beyond the city walls, though by now they'd probably chumps after everyone's recent excursion. In the meantime, however, he already had someone's armor to check over, having left his employees to manage things, so he's got his nose buried in Sephiroth's armor

"A dagger would be nice. Again though, I can bring some friends I made from the escape, to help advise me if that'd be better for you. I'm really kind of a blank slate here."

"Sewing... that's a skill I could put to work though! I work hard so I end up ripping my clothes and... My bandanna's seen better days." Taking his mask off he takes his bandanna off too, his hair falling loose, long black hair that went down to his thighs; very bishie!
"But a bike. Gimme time and I can definitely do that! I'll have to figure out the tires but I'm sure I can make it happen. The rest is just some good ol heating and hammering! Though have you seen the Chocobo's yet?"

Clear that she didn't mind trading work for work. "I think I'll see if I can get friends to help advise me, on any weapons and armor then, but I'll be back if that's ok?"

He was basically assuming wheat time period she was from.
"But I can totally get to work on a bike though. It might be a bit heavy, but that means it'll last!" he confirms. "OH YEAH! Chocobos! They're big yellow birds, like, giant chickens that you can ride around on. Real friendly! Basically the equivalent to motorcycles here."

"I'll have to look into these things. Not that I'm exactly looking for a motorcycle equivalent. I didn't have my learner's back home, either." Give her another year or two, and she'd have been driving. Doomie didn't count, as he was a sentient ghost car.

"Well, you don't need a license for one. Anyone can just rent a Chocobo to get around." he explains. "I'm just saying, they're about that size. Mine's definitely taller than me."
no subject
"That's...wow." Lydia was looking forward to seeing a Chocobo now. Although it might take her a while to get used to.

It was a matter of material, not cost, and frankly, he was sort of hoarding some gold... it conducts electricity VERY well, as well as, yanno, heat resistance. He needs that.
For robots.

"Sure. It can be done, in time. I mean, the design isn't that bad, it's just figuring out a few details here and there. Mostly the chain since... I can't exactly make a motorized bike or anything like that."

"I used to get around on..." he stops himself. "Well it's a long story, and unless you have a thing for animated giant robots, I won't bore you. It'll take time but I can definitely make it happen. Since getting here... I've been able to understand more about creating older stuff as opposed to... mecha."
But still he didn't want to bore her... it was like being a Blacksmith just dumped the whole wiki of 'how to make metal things' as well as an upload of 'AutoCAD'

"Yeah, giant pilotable machines as big as buildings." He has to really THINK to see if he could reference something from before the year 2000...
"Uh... shit... Power Rangers maybe? Godzilla kind of stuff?" He looks to be really straining.
