GET BACK TO WORK!
Characters: MarKus and OPEN (mostly newbies?)
Where: Aqures Ixen - Haley's Anvil
When: March 7th - 11th
Summary: MarKus starts hammering out gear for the rescued arrivals. Upon request, of course!
Warning: Foul language?

After having that slacker Kugami put up new advertisements, MarKus has finally put himself back to work, at the forge where he belongs. He'll be on break from adventuring for a while, but there was a hefty handful of people who were going to be in need of gear that fit them, since they surely didn't start with a damn thing being imprisoned right away. Surely someone needed that special sword or arm guard just to feel a little more comfortable with things.
And you know, defending oneself from the creatures beyond the city walls, though by now they'd probably chumps after everyone's recent excursion. In the meantime, however, he already had someone's armor to check over, having left his employees to manage things, so he's got his nose buried in Sephiroth's armor

"Well, you'd really want a leather worker for gloves." he says. "But... I think I can work some flexible gauntlets for you. I know it's important to keep the hands and fingers free but that doesn't mean they can't be protected too."
This had come up once before, gauntlets mostly, metal plates along the back of the hand and studs at the knuckles. "Hmmm... I swear I'd actually started work on something at one point." he mutters, wandering off before Zell can protest... too much.

"All I want is somethin' basic for now. If later ya need like, skin from a specific monster or somethin', just let me know! I ain't as strong as I used to be before I got here, but I can still fight!"

However, as he said, he did have something he started for another famous FF-face puncher! "Here we go man." They were black leather, studs across the knuckles, then plates on the back of the hand. However on one hand was a series of extra plates, intended to act as a 'shield' against bladed weapons when defending. "Don't know which hand you use, but this can be put on either, or taken off entirely if you're not feeling it."

Before he could say anything about it, MarKus showed him what gloves --gauntlets?-- he had made. Zell took the one without the extra plates and turned it over a few times, inspecting it. It was definitely different, he didn't really need all that metal except for the ones along the knuckles. He could always try it and see how it worked for him, but it made him kind of uncomfortable. If he talked about that feeling later, Minimagra would say it was because of the jobs he had active.
He handed the gauntlet back. "You can't make it without all that metal? The ones against the knuckles are great! But the rest just seems like too much."

Of course, if even the single plate on the back of the hand was too much. "Still too much?" He had no dislike monks, but it was exceptionally weird to make weapons for them. Except stick-fighters... those were easy!
