Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Within a split second, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you know it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, your world vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see. Even you feel different: all the powers you might once have had are now gone. It is silent, cold and before long it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you...
And at this very moment, when it looks as though nothing but a never-ending void awaits you, a red Crystal forms before you. In this void, its warmth compels you to grab it. Upon doing so, you can hear a soft, soothing voice speaking:
"Wake up."
Soon, the void itself vanishes and is replaced by a gentle breeze. Had it all been nothing more than a dream? The soothing voice repeats its call once more, but is soon replaced by a much less graceful "Wake up, Kupo!" Hand clutched on your Crystal, the call of the Moogle may finally bring you back to your senses. But you are no longer in your world, nor in the void. You are before the Crystal of Wind, in the Temple located right outside of a city called Trano Golsaucia. At this point, you may realize the breeze originates from the massive green Crystal floating nearby. As if it wasn't strange enough, your clothes have changed as well. They are now a reflection of the Jobs you are wielding.
Last but not least, you are surrounded by Moogles, small and fluffy creatures. They look pretty tired, but they will be more than happy to tell you everything you want to know. They shall tell you about your 'destiny' as a Hero of Light and about what awaits you. Or at least, they will tell you everything they do know, which isn't much in the end.
There are quite a few people around you as well. For the most part, they are people like you-- All clothed in their Job garbs and most likely wondering what is happening. There are also some other Humans, Tarutaru and Hypello in the room, but unlike you they don't have a Crystal, nor do they have a Moogle following them. If addressed, they will say they are the Guardians of the Crystal of Wind and will confirm everything the Moogle said. They will reveal they found you unconscious around the Crystal a couples hours ago, and immediately contacted the Moogles and the government of Aqures Ixen.
If asked about it, both the Moogles and Guardians will explain that Heroes of Light have already appeared in this world within the past year, and they all are in a city called Aqures Ixen. It's the first time Heroes have appeared in this temple. In fact, you probably should go to Aqures Ixen as well. The Moogle will tell you this is where your house is and where the other Heroes will be able to help you. Thankfully, should you decide to take your sweet time to get there, the other Heroes may just come to you.
The Other Heroes
— Anytime —
And indeed, thanks to the efficiency of Mognet and Shoopuf Airline it does not take long for the other Heroes to come around. You may meet them in Trano Golsaucia or in Aqures Ixen, or maybe even in one of the Airships going back and forth between the two cities. They are those who arrived in this world months ago and they have gone through quite a lot. You may have imagined heroic and charismatic figures when your Moogle told you there were other Heroes of Light in this world. You may have imagined persons with fearsome powers when they told you how they recklessly attacked the Heran Empire to free their friends a few months ago. And most importantly, you may have imagined them as people who would have the answers to your, doubtlessly, numerous questions.
If so, you may be up for a complete and utter disappointment. Still, for the most part they know more than you on the situation and may be more than happy to fill you in, especially if your Moogle didn't tell you much.
Trano Golsaucia
— Anytime —
Should you leave the Temple of Wind and head south, you will reach Trano Golsaucia. It's a gigantic city covered with snow-- To make it simple, this city is a gigantic amusement park. It is the most popular place in this world and of course, there are plenty of people all around. Thankfully, other Heroes of Light are easy to spot: they are the only ones who are followed by a Moogle and holding a Crystal.
And there is quite a lot to be done in this city. Maybe you could stop by the Triple Triad Center to begin a successful career in card games, or maybe you could buy a ticket at the Blitzball Stadium to support your favorite team. If you're the kind of person who relies on luck, you may have more fun gambling in the Casino or betting on your favorite Chocobo in the Chocobo Races. If you're more of a person who enjoys simpler games, maybe you could try one of the numerous carnival-style mini-games found in the city, such as the shooting stand or the treasure chest game.
If you'd like more details regarding all the attractions and games available in Trano Golsaucia, you can find everything here! Of course, all of this requires money and odds are that you may not have a single Gil yet. If your Moogle is nice though, maybe you could ask him or her to loan you some Gil...
Airships
— Every Four Hours —
Upon reaching Trano Golsaucia, you will also have the right to board an Airship. Exceptionally, there is an Airship available every four hours, all because of your arrival so that Heroes of Light can meet each other and go to Aqures Ixen with ease.
The flight itself should take between four to six hours as it will travel from one city to the other on route. This is nothing special for the denizens of this world, but for you it may be quite the experience if you never boarded a plane or any flying contraptions before. The service is nothing special, but there are some light refreshments offered free of charge. Note that most of the employees on Airships are Hypello.
Aqures Ixen
— After an Airship Trip —
Upon arriving in Aqures Ixen, the first thing you will see is the Airship Port in the 12th District. Following that, no doubt your eyes will find the Castle of Aqures Ixen, a classic yet refined structure standing in the city. From there on, characters are free to visit the city-- There are no attractions in this city, but there are scientific buildings, another Blitzball Stadium and even an Observatory serving as base for the Heroes of Light. If you'd like more details regarding all that is available in Aqures Ixen, you can find everything here!
Or maybe -and perhaps inevitably!- you could visit your new house in the 11th or 14th District, and get to know your new neighbors and housemate. It's been a long day, so you could use some sleep. Hopefully your neighbors are people you will get along with...
And at this very moment, when it looks as though nothing but a never-ending void awaits you, a red Crystal forms before you. In this void, its warmth compels you to grab it. Upon doing so, you can hear a soft, soothing voice speaking:

Airship!
The young boy walked up to Sophie and placed a piece of candy on her shoulder. "Here ya go!" He smiled and then ran about a yard away where he continued to place single pieces of candy on the ground.
Kite fluttered up to the pair and bowed his head slightly. "I apologize for my young hero. Kupo."
no subject
Taiga shook his fuzzy little head, "No no, I should apologize for my hero, Kupo. She should know better than to eat things found off of the ground." ACK. "No no! Kid, you gotta take the wrapper off first, kupo!" oh boy.
Sophie spat the candy into her hand, making a face. "Bleah." Paper is yucky. This time she cautiously removed the slobbered on wrapper and tried the candy properly, with much better results!
no subject
"No Greg... don't eat the wrapper. Kupo."
The boy finished eating the candy and then coughed up the shinny wrapper. He was still smiling as she walked back over next to the girl. "Are you lost too!"
no subject
Sophie swallowed her candy in record time, considering the question. "Lost?" Think think think. "I don't know." She glanced at Taiga. "Am I lost?"
Taiga shook his head, waving his paws at the same time. "No no - we're on our way to Aqures Ixen, kupo. I guess that's where you're headed too?"
no subject
Greg smiled as if he didn't hear a word Kite had said. "I'm looking for my brother Wirt." Then he caught up listening to his moogle talk about school. He hated school.
"I don't need school. I learn more outside of school!" He looked over at the girl with a smile. "Did you know that dinosaur used to have ears but there are no bones in ears so everyone forgot?"
"That's not true, kupo."
Greg pulled out a rock from his bag wiggling it in the air. "It's a ROCK FACT!"
no subject
Sophie, however, took the words as gospel, watching him curiously. "I don't know him." Wirt, she means. And then this rock fact, well.. it must be true! It's a rock fact right? "Really?" ... what's a dinosaur? She reached up, touching her ear briefly, though Taiga made a vague noise. "K.. kupo, don't believe everything you hear, kid...especially that."
no subject
His eyes grow wider as he stashed the rock away. "It's fact's you learn from rocks!" He smiled his eyes wide with the imaginations of youth.
"You're confusing her Kupo. Let's get on the airship and get you two to Aqures."
"Okay." Greg smiled holding out a hand to the girl. "Let's go! We won't get lost if we're together."
I.. I never got this tag T_T
Taiga groaned, "You're definitely going to school, kupo." S..seriously. People will lead her off base if she listens to everyone like this!
Sophie glanced down at the smaller boy, taking hold of his hand when he reached out to her. "Okay." It was logical - they couldn't get lost if they were together!... unless they both got lost. But Taiga was helping Greg's moogle usher the kids onto the airship in any case~!
<3
"Oh man! Everything is the size of aunts. Like an aunt village!" He bounced excited only to feel something heavy rest on his head. It was his frog sitting on top of the teapot that he had on his head. "Hello frog! You won't have to sing this time."
Kite made sure to watch Greg but he was less worried with more people around the young boy. He was rather talkative and friendly.
<3
"Aunt village? Is that where aunts come from?"
"I think he means 'ant' village, kupo-" Taiga suggested, bemusedly. Both kids were a riot, but he was a little concerned by how much Sophie seemed to accept Greg's words as
rockfacts."Why do you wear that?" Sophie asked instead, staring at the frog perched on the teapot.
<3
Greg smiled at Sophie. He looked up at the tea pot and then reached up to wiggle the spout. "I'm an Elephant! Burrrrr!" It was his best elephant impersonation and while it wasn't accurate it was still adorable.
Kite watched him now curiously. So that was why he had asked for a tea pot.
Re: <3
At the cutest impression of an elephant ever, Sophie looked thoughtful. She thought he was a little boy, but apparently he's a talking elephant! "Oh. Burrrrrr." She echoed, just as poorly.
Taiga threw up his paws, "Oh don't you start that too, kupo~!" Please, all he needed was a pair of kids 'burrr'ing around the ship. Sophie seemed content with burrr'ing only once, turning her attention to the ground - what little of it she could see now, thanks to the clouds below.
<3
Kite smiled at the cute little burring of the two kids. It was hard for him not to when they were both being so damn cute. His head shook slowly and for a moment his usual professionalism dropped.
"Let them have fun. It's a long flight. Kupo." The flight was about three to four hours long and Kite wasn't interested in scolding Gregory. That wasn't exactly his job.
"That's right! Let's be elephants!" Greg burred some more while walking in a small circle with a wide happy smile.
Re: <3
Sophie glanced over her shoulder from where she'd been peering over the edge, watching the breaks in cloud cover. There was something fascinating about seeing the ground so far away, she couldn't help but stare.
<3
"That one looks like a pot and that one a bunny" Of course after he points to them the clouds are already miles away.
<3
Of course, Sophie lacks in things such as imagination, so when Greg points at the clouds moving away, all she sees is blobs of fluffy white cloudness, "They do?" She asked, curiously, glancing in the direction he pointed.
<3
He pointed against trying to show her before the clouds drift away.
"That's a boat! See the outline. And a dragon, that parts the wings." He kept talking not really paying attention if she's listening or not.
<3
<3
Kite saw this game as harmless and for the first time since being assigned his hero he was happy. He looked at the pair fondly thinking that maybe it won't be to bad.
<3
Taiga was just happy that the kids weren't leaning over the railing anymore, plopping on the floor beside Sophie with a sigh. Man if either of them fall, they were so screwed.
Re: <3
"You need to imagine it. Here!" He pointed to a spot on the deck where there was only empty air.
"Let's play pretend!" Greg sat down and waved Sophie over. "You have to get into the car first!"
<3 This is going to be so much fail XDD
"... Car?" What's a car? And..where is it? There's only air there. "Where is it...?"
Sophie, the point is flying WAY over your head...
<3 Greg is determined to teach her how to be a kid
"Vroom Vroom." Which was the sounds a car made. "Get in or you'll be left behind!"
Kite watched in utter fascination as Gregory tired to show Sophie imagination. He wasn't sure this method would work.
<3 It's destined to fail! Lol oh Greg XD
Taiga just covered his face with both paws. This was embarrassing. How could a kid not know the -basics- of imagination, what kind of a childhood did she have?
<3 NEVER!
"Once you sit I can show you."
His frog jumped up on his other side and did as he said, sitting with his feet out and his arms hanging in front of him. It looked a little bit silly for a frog but Gregory just smiled.
<3 IT WILL XD
<3 RAWR!
