Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Within a split second, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you know it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, your world vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see. Even you feel different: all the powers you might once have had are now gone. It is silent, cold and before long it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you...
And at this very moment, when it looks as though nothing but a never-ending void awaits you, a red Crystal forms before you. In this void, its warmth compels you to grab it. Upon doing so, you can hear a soft, soothing voice speaking:
"Wake up."
Soon, the void itself vanishes and is replaced by a gentle breeze. Had it all been nothing more than a dream? The soothing voice repeats its call once more, but is soon replaced by a much less graceful "Wake up, Kupo!" Hand clutched on your Crystal, the call of the Moogle may finally bring you back to your senses. But you are no longer in your world, nor in the void. You are before the Crystal of Wind, in the Temple located right outside of a city called Trano Golsaucia. At this point, you may realize the breeze originates from the massive green Crystal floating nearby. As if it wasn't strange enough, your clothes have changed as well. They are now a reflection of the Jobs you are wielding.
Last but not least, you are surrounded by Moogles, small and fluffy creatures. They look pretty tired, but they will be more than happy to tell you everything you want to know. They shall tell you about your 'destiny' as a Hero of Light and about what awaits you. Or at least, they will tell you everything they do know, which isn't much in the end.
There are quite a few people around you as well. For the most part, they are people like you-- All clothed in their Job garbs and most likely wondering what is happening. There are also some other Humans, Tarutaru and Hypello in the room, but unlike you they don't have a Crystal, nor do they have a Moogle following them. If addressed, they will say they are the Guardians of the Crystal of Wind and will confirm everything the Moogle said. They will reveal they found you unconscious around the Crystal a couples hours ago, and immediately contacted the Moogles and the government of Aqures Ixen.
If asked about it, both the Moogles and Guardians will explain that Heroes of Light have already appeared in this world within the past year, and they all are in a city called Aqures Ixen. It's the first time Heroes have appeared in this temple. In fact, you probably should go to Aqures Ixen as well. The Moogle will tell you this is where your house is and where the other Heroes will be able to help you. Thankfully, should you decide to take your sweet time to get there, the other Heroes may just come to you.
The Other Heroes
— Anytime —
And indeed, thanks to the efficiency of Mognet and Shoopuf Airline it does not take long for the other Heroes to come around. You may meet them in Trano Golsaucia or in Aqures Ixen, or maybe even in one of the Airships going back and forth between the two cities. They are those who arrived in this world months ago and they have gone through quite a lot. You may have imagined heroic and charismatic figures when your Moogle told you there were other Heroes of Light in this world. You may have imagined persons with fearsome powers when they told you how they recklessly attacked the Heran Empire to free their friends a few months ago. And most importantly, you may have imagined them as people who would have the answers to your, doubtlessly, numerous questions.
If so, you may be up for a complete and utter disappointment. Still, for the most part they know more than you on the situation and may be more than happy to fill you in, especially if your Moogle didn't tell you much.
Trano Golsaucia
— Anytime —
Should you leave the Temple of Wind and head south, you will reach Trano Golsaucia. It's a gigantic city covered with snow-- To make it simple, this city is a gigantic amusement park. It is the most popular place in this world and of course, there are plenty of people all around. Thankfully, other Heroes of Light are easy to spot: they are the only ones who are followed by a Moogle and holding a Crystal.
And there is quite a lot to be done in this city. Maybe you could stop by the Triple Triad Center to begin a successful career in card games, or maybe you could buy a ticket at the Blitzball Stadium to support your favorite team. If you're the kind of person who relies on luck, you may have more fun gambling in the Casino or betting on your favorite Chocobo in the Chocobo Races. If you're more of a person who enjoys simpler games, maybe you could try one of the numerous carnival-style mini-games found in the city, such as the shooting stand or the treasure chest game.
If you'd like more details regarding all the attractions and games available in Trano Golsaucia, you can find everything here! Of course, all of this requires money and odds are that you may not have a single Gil yet. If your Moogle is nice though, maybe you could ask him or her to loan you some Gil...
Airships
— Every Four Hours —
Upon reaching Trano Golsaucia, you will also have the right to board an Airship. Exceptionally, there is an Airship available every four hours, all because of your arrival so that Heroes of Light can meet each other and go to Aqures Ixen with ease.
The flight itself should take between four to six hours as it will travel from one city to the other on route. This is nothing special for the denizens of this world, but for you it may be quite the experience if you never boarded a plane or any flying contraptions before. The service is nothing special, but there are some light refreshments offered free of charge. Note that most of the employees on Airships are Hypello.
Aqures Ixen
— After an Airship Trip —
Upon arriving in Aqures Ixen, the first thing you will see is the Airship Port in the 12th District. Following that, no doubt your eyes will find the Castle of Aqures Ixen, a classic yet refined structure standing in the city. From there on, characters are free to visit the city-- There are no attractions in this city, but there are scientific buildings, another Blitzball Stadium and even an Observatory serving as base for the Heroes of Light. If you'd like more details regarding all that is available in Aqures Ixen, you can find everything here!
Or maybe -and perhaps inevitably!- you could visit your new house in the 11th or 14th District, and get to know your new neighbors and housemate. It's been a long day, so you could use some sleep. Hopefully your neighbors are people you will get along with...

Trano Golsaucia!
cheated andflew safely overhead -- but he soon fell into speaking distance and offered the boy a smile in greeting."Hi! Are you a Hero of Light, too?" He glanced at the boy's moogle as he asked that, his uncertainty showing. Not that Ven typically judged according to age, but considering what he'd been told so far...
Trano Golsaucia!
"It's Kite. Kupo. Kupo is Kupo. It's just something that's said to punctuate a sentence, Kupo."
"And I'm Greg! And this is Mortimer!" Greg held up his frog who's legs and arms dangled lifelessly at it's sides.
no subject
"And I'm Mograe," his moogle added, although she was looking at Kite with a mixture of concern and pity. Going by that body language, it seemed he'd landed one of the more difficult heroes. Ven missed it and went on,
"So did you just get here today, Greg? At the temple?"
no subject
Gregory looked around, his gaze stopping at the candy store.
"Let's go get candy!" He smiled placing his pet frog on the top of the tea pot on his head.
no subject
Mograe shrugged -- it was her place to guide him, not necessarily tell him what to do -- so Ven took that as acquiescence and grinned down at Greg. "Lead the way!"
no subject
As he spoke his eyes became wide staring at all the candy. Kite flew over handing in a few gil. "This is all you have to spend, kupo." He didn't bother to ask if Greg could do simple math.
no subject
He looked at Greg again, curious. "Oh, hey -- if you were awake when it happened, do you know who brought you here?"
no subject
He waddled a little awkwardly to the counter spilling candy on the floor as he went to go pay for it. The shop keeper didn't look to assumed but after a polite conversation with Kite he let the kid fill his pockets, with Kite paying of course, and then leave without incident.
"Did you sleep by a fire too?" Greg looked up at Ventus with a smile, his pockets filled with candy.
no subject
Back outside, he shook his head at Greg's question. "I don't think so. I was..." He paused, frowning slightly, but only one word came to mind and he said it without thinking: "I was home." After another moment, he shook off the thoughtful spell and smiled again. "But, hey! We're here now, right? That's what matters. So are you gonna head to Aqures, Greg?"
"Aqures Ixen," Mograe corrected on reflex.
Honestly, the only reason Ven remembered the first half was because it sounded a bit like Eraqus.
no subject
"I KNOW, I CAN LEAVE A CANDY TRAIL!" He placed another piece down looking up at Ventus. "I might need more candy."
Gregory didn't realize how unhelpful he was being at the moment though Kite flew closer with a shake of his head.
"We were going to look for him in Aqures Ixen werent we?"
no subject
"That's not a bad idea," said Ven, appearing to be the only one on-site who didn't think this was weird. "But if it keeps snowing, all that candy might get lost, you know? So your brother might not see it." He straightened up again and glanced towards where the airships were supposed to be waiting. "Why don't we try looking in Aqures Ixen, after all?" he suggested. "Mograe said we can send out letters, so we can ask if anyone's seen him that way."
no subject
Greg pouted for a moment with his little hands resting on his waists. His face then contorted into another strange expression before he smiled up at Ventus. "Let's go to Aqures Ixen then!"
He was smiling and as he turned to walk in what he thought was the correct direction of the air ship he began humming a song which soon began to have words.
"Aqures! Aqures! That's where we're going today! Aqures! Aqures! Let's go be one our way."
no subject
"Will you two be okay? I'm heading there, anyway, so I can go ahead and tag along if you want the company." Really, that was his tactful way of asking whether Kite wanted another set of eyes
and someone with a bit more patiencegoing along with Greg. He couldn't see the trouble in looking after the younger kid, but the moogle seemed to be struggling all the same.no subject
He fluttered towards Greg trying his best to smile whenever the young boy looked up at him.
Greg had decided to keep walking forward though after a while it was obvious he didn't know where he was going. He looked up at Ventus with a smile after his song ended. "What are you going to do in Aqures?"
no subject
"I guess," he replied a moment later, "I'll look for my friends, first. If I was brought here, they could've been, too." Never mind that none of the other Heroes he'd asked had heard of them, and he'd been through this city enough times today to determine that neither Terra nor Aqua had arrived when he did. He would keep searching all the same in Aqures Ixen.
"And I need to find out where I'm staying, too," he added, pulling his cape closer around him against the cold. Belatedly, he realized that they seem to be headed in a random direction and did a double-take. "Oh, uh -- and I think the airships are that way."
no subject
His arms swung at his sides as he walked. The airship quickly came into view considering how large the ship. Greg paused staring at the boat with wide eyes. "Whoa!"
no subject
Once the airship was visible, he also paused to take it in with visible awe. It wasn't as big as the spaceship he'd seen that one time, but it was still huge and still very much impressive. "So... do we have to buy tickets or something?" he wondered, but Mograe quickly dug into the bag at her side.
"Of course not. Don't you think we came prepared to get you back to Aqures Ixen, kupo?" She produced a small card from her stash and handed it off to Ven, who examined it and found it to be a permit of some sort. "Oh! That's convenient. Thanks!" He looked down at Greg. "This should be fun! Have you ever flown before?"
no subject
"Nope! I wanna taste a cloud!"
Kite rushed forward putting a little paw on Gregory's shoulder to stop the young boy from running forward. "I have you're ticket. Stay close to Ventus Kupo."
no subject
He would do his best to keep an eye on the kid during the trip -- but twelve hours was a long time, even for someone with his (almost) endless energy. At least there wouldn't be any way to actually fall off the thing.
Right?no subject
"Where is that oh frog of mine?" He turned around to look finding that his frog was a yard or so behind him. He was used to trips on boat with frogs which mean he knew that this was going to be a fun ride.
He ran and grabbed his frog before running up and then onto the airship. Kite took care of letting the Hypello know that Gregory was with him before following him on board.
no subject
"Oh, right -- hey, Greg! Wait up!" He hurried past the other passengers and personnel, careful to avoid any collisions. Hopefully he wouldn't run out of energy before Greg did.
no subject
Greg placed the frog down who stood for a moment on his back legs, much like a person would. "You can put on another concert! We need the Bassoon!" He was to excited to sit still though he had prior to now forgotten that he had intended to get his frog clothes.
Gregory looked up at Kite noting the moogles stat of undress. "We can get you people clothes too." Kite raised an eyebrow at the boy but said nothing in return.
no subject
"Of course," said Mograe promptly, despite her own lack of dress. "When we feel like it, kupo. Or when we find something we like. But that's easier said than done, kupo."
"Oh, yeah?" Ven tilted his head, considerate. "Then why don't we work together? Tell me what you like, and we'll come up with something and make it." When Mograe only stared, Ven blinked. "What?"
"You can sew, kupo?"
"Sure! I've made things before." Just, y'know, a ballgown. No big deal. He smiled again at Greg, oblivious to Mograe's continued stare. "What kind of clothes does your frog wear, anyway?"
no subject
Kite was staring at Ventus with a gaze that suggested he was more impressed than he was surprised. "Ah yes? Kupo."
Greg's smile grew. "What do you want to wear."
Kite was not prepared for the question and the little moogle flustered for a second. "Um.. I don't know Kupo. I should be fine as is."
Greg ignored Kite and looked at Ven. "He needs a tie!"
no subject
Pinged by an idea, Ven offered, "Hey, why don't we find some paper so you can draw the kind of clothes you want? That way we'll know what to look for in Aqures Ixen."
