Intro Log || The City That Never Sleeps

Characters: All the "Heroes of Light" (only new characters can start threads).
Where: Trano Golsaucia, Aqures Ixen, Airships.
When: The 5th of May. The new Heroes of Light will awaken early in the morning.
Summary: The new Heroes of Light awaken in the Temple of Wind next to Trano Golsaucia, and they are informed by their assigned Moogles of what the situation and what their destinies are. This a log for them to react to the situation, meet each other and be welcomed by the former batches of Heroes of Light.

Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Within a split second, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you know it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, your world vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see. Even you feel different: all the powers you might once have had are now gone. It is silent, cold and before long it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you...

And at this very moment, when it looks as though nothing but a never-ending void awaits you, a red Crystal forms before you. In this void, its warmth compels you to grab it. Upon doing so, you can hear a soft, soothing voice speaking:

"Wake up."

Soon, the void itself vanishes and is replaced by a gentle breeze. Had it all been nothing more than a dream? The soothing voice repeats its call once more, but is soon replaced by a much less graceful "Wake up, Kupo!" Hand clutched on your Crystal, the call of the Moogle may finally bring you back to your senses. But you are no longer in your world, nor in the void. You are before the Crystal of Wind, in the Temple located right outside of a city called Trano Golsaucia. At this point, you may realize the breeze originates from the massive green Crystal floating nearby. As if it wasn't strange enough, your clothes have changed as well. They are now a reflection of the Jobs you are wielding.

Last but not least, you are surrounded by Moogles, small and fluffy creatures. They look pretty tired, but they will be more than happy to tell you everything you want to know. They shall tell you about your 'destiny' as a Hero of Light and about what awaits you. Or at least, they will tell you everything they do know, which isn't much in the end.

There are quite a few people around you as well. For the most part, they are people like you-- All clothed in their Job garbs and most likely wondering what is happening. There are also some other Humans, Tarutaru and Hypello in the room, but unlike you they don't have a Crystal, nor do they have a Moogle following them. If addressed, they will say they are the Guardians of the Crystal of Wind and will confirm everything the Moogle said. They will reveal they found you unconscious around the Crystal a couples hours ago, and immediately contacted the Moogles and the government of Aqures Ixen.

If asked about it, both the Moogles and Guardians will explain that Heroes of Light have already appeared in this world within the past year, and they all are in a city called Aqures Ixen. It's the first time Heroes have appeared in this temple. In fact, you probably should go to Aqures Ixen as well. The Moogle will tell you this is where your house is and where the other Heroes will be able to help you. Thankfully, should you decide to take your sweet time to get there, the other Heroes may just come to you.

The Other Heroes
— Anytime —
And indeed, thanks to the efficiency of Mognet and Shoopuf Airline it does not take long for the other Heroes to come around. You may meet them in Trano Golsaucia or in Aqures Ixen, or maybe even in one of the Airships going back and forth between the two cities. They are those who arrived in this world months ago and they have gone through quite a lot. You may have imagined heroic and charismatic figures when your Moogle told you there were other Heroes of Light in this world. You may have imagined persons with fearsome powers when they told you how they recklessly attacked the Heran Empire to free their friends a few months ago. And most importantly, you may have imagined them as people who would have the answers to your, doubtlessly, numerous questions.

If so, you may be up for a complete and utter disappointment. Still, for the most part they know more than you on the situation and may be more than happy to fill you in, especially if your Moogle didn't tell you much.

Trano Golsaucia
— Anytime —
Should you leave the Temple of Wind and head south, you will reach Trano Golsaucia. It's a gigantic city covered with snow-- To make it simple, this city is a gigantic amusement park. It is the most popular place in this world and of course, there are plenty of people all around. Thankfully, other Heroes of Light are easy to spot: they are the only ones who are followed by a Moogle and holding a Crystal.

And there is quite a lot to be done in this city. Maybe you could stop by the Triple Triad Center to begin a successful career in card games, or maybe you could buy a ticket at the Blitzball Stadium to support your favorite team. If you're the kind of person who relies on luck, you may have more fun gambling in the Casino or betting on your favorite Chocobo in the Chocobo Races. If you're more of a person who enjoys simpler games, maybe you could try one of the numerous carnival-style mini-games found in the city, such as the shooting stand or the treasure chest game.

Of course, all of this requires money and odds are that you may not have a single Gil yet. If your Moogle is nice though, maybe you could ask him or her to loan you some Gil...

Airships
— Every Four Hours —
Upon reaching Trano Golsaucia, you will also have the right to board an Airship. Exceptionally, there is an Airship available every four hours, all because of your arrival so that Heroes of Light can meet each other and go to Aqures Ixen with ease.

The flight itself should take between four to six hours as it will travel from one city to the other on route. This is nothing special for the denizens of this world, but for you it may be quite the experience if you never boarded a plane or any flying contraptions before. The service is nothing special, but there are some light refreshments offered free of charge. Note that most of the employees on Airships are Hypello.

Aqures Ixen
— After an Airship Trip —
Upon arriving in Aqures Ixen, the first thing you will see is the Airship Port in the 12th District. Following that, no doubt your eyes will find the Castle of Aqures Ixen, a classic yet refined structure standing in the city. From there on, characters are free to visit the city-- There are no attractions in this city, but there are scientific buildings, another Blitzball Stadium and even an Observatory serving as base for the Heroes of Light. If you'd like more details regarding all that is available in Aqures Ixen, you can find everything here!

Or maybe -and perhaps inevitably!- you could visit your new house in the 11th or 14th District, and get to know your new neighbors and housemate. It's been a long day, so you could use some sleep. Hopefully your neighbors are people you will get along with...

"Nope but don't worry! Wirt is smart! He'll find me." Greg smiled up at the tall woman happily placing candy down as they walked towards the airship. A loud ringing sounded and Kite frantically flew next to Gregory's side.

"We need to go Kupo! The ariship will leave without you!"

Gregory pouted. "I should wait for Wirt."

Kite placed his little moogle paws on his face trying to convince his young hero to go to Aqures Ixen. He wasn't good with kids.

Olivier sees the moogle's need of help convincing the kid, and tries to help despite her lack of experience with anyone too young to join the military.

"Look, you can wait, or you can go and get settled. It looks like you have enough candy, just start the trail back up when you get off the ship. This Wirt would probably want you to be safe if he's smart like you say he is, and he'll know from the trail to the airship to get on the next one."

He looked up at the woman as if absorbing her comment. Then his lips spread into a wide energetic grin. "That's a GREAT IDEA! You're very smart!" Greg smiled walking in a circle and then placing down the last piece of candy before the airship plat form.

Kite looked over at her with a grateful gaze. "Thank you Kupo." He wasn't good with kids either and Greory was just too young for him.

The eager hero ran up to the airship and waved. "Aren't you guys coming?!"

"Of course," Olivier answered and joined him.

"My name is Olivier Armstrong, what is your name?"

She's pretty sure she just landed herself a babysitting job, and she's not sure what to do. She knows there are some younger people who have been brought here, but he seems far too young to be expected to fight.

"I'm Greg! And this is Kitty!" He pointed to the frog that sat next to him seemingly staying by the young boys side as he placed the trail of candy. "And that's Kupa!"

His moogle shuttered. "It's Kite. Kupo."

Gregory just smiled. "Right! Let's go Olivier!" He picked up his frog who croaked in response and then began to wall up the ramp and onto the airship. He had never flown on an airship before.

She nodded as he talked, not quite sure what else to do. She did note the name of the frog and the flustered moogle.

"My moogle is named Alexandria," she introduced them as she followed along. Alexandra gave a bow in mid-air, then continued onward.

"Have you ever gone on a ship before?"

"Nope! What's it like?" Even as he asked the young boy walked forward. His frog held tightly in his little palms. A smile was permanently fixated to his lips as he saw the large ship they were going to board.

"Oh Wait What."

Greg ran forward and Kite had a heart attack thinking he might have lost Greg in the crowd. The ship was very big to such a small boy and he wanted to see it all.

Olivier is ready to tell him air ships are even better than regular ships, but he's off before she can. Instead, she turns to his moogle.

"Don't worry, Kite. You'll find him again when we land, but I can help you keep an eye on him if you'd want. It seems he is going to be a handful."

Part of her wonders if she can get a handle on his energy.

Kite let out a slow breath of air. "Thank you, kupo. I am not accustom to young children. He's far to young to be here kupo." The moogle looked over at the crowd catching sight of the young boy as he looked at something or another.

He looked back at the hero. "I wasn't expecting the heroes of light to be like this. Kupo"

Greg must have found something because he was running back towards the with something in his hands.

She's studying Greg as he runs around quite intently while listening to Kite.

"I don't know why they brought him here. Maybe we aren't selected with quite as much care as I thought. Or maybe he has a skill we will need to beat this Calamity or a thought process to help us understand things. He will need training though."

When Greg starts heading back she almost shies away, but she refuses to be conquered by a child. Instead, she decides to think like her siblings. She crouches down a bit. Anyone can tell the action doesn't come naturally, but she's trying.

"What have you got there?"

Gregory appears to be at ease. He wouldn't force someone to do something uncomfortable like coming down to his level but seeing her interested in what he had made him smile a little wider.

"I found a cricket!"

He opened his hands and the little green bug sat there for a moment before jumping free. Greg just watched the cricket go. "Ain't that the way."

"Do you like crickets?"

Kite was watching Gregory with a thoughtful expression. It was hard to know what to make of the young boy. He was happy and has been since he woke up at the temple.

She has to stop from shaking her head at his find.

"I don't dislike crickets, and they're a good source of nutrition if you're in a pinch. Have you ever tried to eat one?"

Greg stared up at her. "No" His eyes went to his run away cricket and he attempted to follow it.

"Wait! Come back, I want to eat you!" He followed a few paces before Kite intercepted him. "There is no reason to eat a cricket Kupo."

Greg looked up at Kite. "Can I eat leaves?"

"Eating crickets is for when you need to. There is other food here to try. Have you ever had from from a different world before?" She asks, trying to distract him from running off the airship.

Apparently she wasn't very good at this child wrangling thing.

"Nope."

He stopped with Kite already in front of him to intercept him. His eyes grew wide at the thought of food from another world.

"Does it taste sweet?" Greg liked sweet things. His frog croaked happily as if stating that he to wanted to eat something. "I've eaten leaves before. They don't taste very good"

Olivier is surprised that she actually got his attention.

"Some of it is sweet, but not all of it. Do you like sweets? I guess leaves are okay if you have to eat them, but I wouldn't make them a normal part of my diet."

"I do!" Greg smiled. He didn't mind the taste of leaves but he still felt hungry after wards. So it wasn't a good thing to eat if you were trying not to feel hungry but then when Greg was hungry he was used to eating what was on hand. He wasn't a picky eater.

Except for broccoli because it was gross.

"Kite had bought me candy!" He tossed a handful of candy in the air watching it fall to the ground with a smile.

She has to keep from rolling her eyes.

"You can't just eat candy though. You need to keep your strength up with meats, too. There a places in the city to get food, and there are some fellow Heroes who are good with cooking."

Greg was excited to hear that finding food here wouldn't be so difficult but he wasn't really that worried about it. He'd find a way to get by, besides he had Kite and he was pretty sure that Kite would stay with him now.

They were friends after all.

"Trying new foods could be fun." He wouldn't know until he tried it.

His frog croaked and Kite glanced over to see the frog a few yards away. Greg ran over to the frog feeling the airship as it lifted into the air. He glanced over it's edge watching the ground shrink away. "We're Flying?! Just like Kite does." He looked up at his moogle with a smile.

She nods and joins him.

"Yep. We don't have machines like this where I'm from. It's pretty exciting to be able to see the land rushing by below. Do you have anything back home like this?"
