Intro Log || The City That Never Sleeps

Characters: All the "Heroes of Light" (only new characters can start threads).
Where: Trano Golsaucia, Aqures Ixen, Airships.
When: The 5th of May. The new Heroes of Light will awaken early in the morning.
Summary: The new Heroes of Light awaken in the Temple of Wind next to Trano Golsaucia, and they are informed by their assigned Moogles of what the situation and what their destinies are. This a log for them to react to the situation, meet each other and be welcomed by the former batches of Heroes of Light.
Warning: N/A

Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Within a split second, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you know it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, your world vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see. Even you feel different: all the powers you might once have had are now gone. It is silent, cold and before long it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you...

And at this very moment, when it looks as though nothing but a never-ending void awaits you, a red Crystal forms before you. In this void, its warmth compels you to grab it. Upon doing so, you can hear a soft, soothing voice speaking:

"Wake up."

Soon, the void itself vanishes and is replaced by a gentle breeze. Had it all been nothing more than a dream? The soothing voice repeats its call once more, but is soon replaced by a much less graceful "Wake up, Kupo!" Hand clutched on your Crystal, the call of the Moogle may finally bring you back to your senses. But you are no longer in your world, nor in the void. You are before the Crystal of Wind, in the Temple located right outside of a city called Trano Golsaucia. At this point, you may realize the breeze originates from the massive green Crystal floating nearby. As if it wasn't strange enough, your clothes have changed as well. They are now a reflection of the Jobs you are wielding.

Last but not least, you are surrounded by Moogles, small and fluffy creatures. They look pretty tired, but they will be more than happy to tell you everything you want to know. They shall tell you about your 'destiny' as a Hero of Light and about what awaits you. Or at least, they will tell you everything they do know, which isn't much in the end.

There are quite a few people around you as well. For the most part, they are people like you-- All clothed in their Job garbs and most likely wondering what is happening. There are also some other Humans, Tarutaru and Hypello in the room, but unlike you they don't have a Crystal, nor do they have a Moogle following them. If addressed, they will say they are the Guardians of the Crystal of Wind and will confirm everything the Moogle said. They will reveal they found you unconscious around the Crystal a couples hours ago, and immediately contacted the Moogles and the government of Aqures Ixen.

If asked about it, both the Moogles and Guardians will explain that Heroes of Light have already appeared in this world within the past year, and they all are in a city called Aqures Ixen. It's the first time Heroes have appeared in this temple. In fact, you probably should go to Aqures Ixen as well. The Moogle will tell you this is where your house is and where the other Heroes will be able to help you. Thankfully, should you decide to take your sweet time to get there, the other Heroes may just come to you.

The Other Heroes
— Anytime —

And indeed, thanks to the efficiency of Mognet and Shoopuf Airline it does not take long for the other Heroes to come around. You may meet them in Trano Golsaucia or in Aqures Ixen, or maybe even in one of the Airships going back and forth between the two cities. They are those who arrived in this world months ago and they have gone through quite a lot. You may have imagined heroic and charismatic figures when your Moogle told you there were other Heroes of Light in this world. You may have imagined persons with fearsome powers when they told you how they recklessly attacked the Heran Empire to free their friends a few months ago. And most importantly, you may have imagined them as people who would have the answers to your, doubtlessly, numerous questions.

If so, you may be up for a complete and utter disappointment. Still, for the most part they know more than you on the situation and may be more than happy to fill you in, especially if your Moogle didn't tell you much.

Trano Golsaucia
— Anytime —

Should you leave the Temple of Wind and head south, you will reach Trano Golsaucia. It's a gigantic city covered with snow-- To make it simple, this city is a gigantic amusement park. It is the most popular place in this world and of course, there are plenty of people all around. Thankfully, other Heroes of Light are easy to spot: they are the only ones who are followed by a Moogle and holding a Crystal.

And there is quite a lot to be done in this city. Maybe you could stop by the Triple Triad Center to begin a successful career in card games, or maybe you could buy a ticket at the Blitzball Stadium to support your favorite team. If you're the kind of person who relies on luck, you may have more fun gambling in the Casino or betting on your favorite Chocobo in the Chocobo Races. If you're more of a person who enjoys simpler games, maybe you could try one of the numerous carnival-style mini-games found in the city, such as the shooting stand or the treasure chest game.

If you'd like more details regarding all the attractions and games available in Trano Golsaucia, you can find everything here! Of course, all of this requires money and odds are that you may not have a single Gil yet. If your Moogle is nice though, maybe you could ask him or her to loan you some Gil...

Airships
— Every Four Hours —

Upon reaching Trano Golsaucia, you will also have the right to board an Airship. Exceptionally, there is an Airship available every four hours, all because of your arrival so that Heroes of Light can meet each other and go to Aqures Ixen with ease.

The flight itself should take between four to six hours as it will travel from one city to the other on route. This is nothing special for the denizens of this world, but for you it may be quite the experience if you never boarded a plane or any flying contraptions before. The service is nothing special, but there are some light refreshments offered free of charge. Note that most of the employees on Airships are Hypello.

Aqures Ixen
— After an Airship Trip —

Upon arriving in Aqures Ixen, the first thing you will see is the Airship Port in the 12th District. Following that, no doubt your eyes will find the Castle of Aqures Ixen, a classic yet refined structure standing in the city. From there on, characters are free to visit the city-- There are no attractions in this city, but there are scientific buildings, another Blitzball Stadium and even an Observatory serving as base for the Heroes of Light. If you'd like more details regarding all that is available in Aqures Ixen, you can find everything here!

Or maybe -and perhaps inevitably!- you could visit your new house in the 11th or 14th District, and get to know your new neighbors and housemate. It's been a long day, so you could use some sleep. Hopefully your neighbors are people you will get along with...

Wow, talk about Tally McTallsauce. Sophie didn't know people came that tall, actually, as she spent an equal amount of time staring from Valvalis to the game the woman was playing, until she was noticed.

"...Play?" Sophie echoed, tilting her head. What is play. "Is that what you're doing?"

[personal profile] aero_dienamic 2015-05-11 02:01 pm (UTC)(link)
She's only seven feet tall! Her sister is taller than her! So, she's not the tallest of the Mctallsauce family!

"Mhmm, this is just a game, but I'm practicing for the real thing." she smiles as she does it again from her crouching position, to show Sophie. "You put this here, then pull back, and you try to hit one of the prizes like this."

And what dumb luck... she hits one without looking or trying. Sadly it's a plush Bomb, but it's cuter than the real things, and it's being brought over. "Oh my, look what I went and did." This isn't the one she was after. "Would you like it, dear?"

ONLY seven feet tall? ONLY? Sophie's a puny four feet (probably), Valvalis is the tallest person she's ever seen. She'd even be taller than Malik (if she knew him). More importantly, Sophie is suitably impressed by how effortlessly she won that prize.

Even if it was just a plush bomb, it was terribly cute. Still, Sophie felt compelled to apologize since Valvalis didn't intend to go for that prize. "I'm sorry." Oh, she's offering it to her? Sophie started to lift her hands to accept the gift, "What is it...?"

Her 'sister' is two inches taller than her. And built like a tank.

"Oh no no no, don't apologize! I'm... surprised that I even hit anything at all! I'm only just learning." she says.

Fortunately she's familiar with this just enough she can play it up to be something cuter.

"This is a Mommy Bomb. She takes care of all the little baby bombs, like a family, see?" She points over to the much smaller palm-sized plush bombs that are more consolation prizes or children... not 'adult-sized' women that happen to have only existed for about 6 years.

Val is happy to hand it over as she stands upright again, and offers her hand out. "My name is Valvalis. But it's that's hard to say, you can call me big sister."
lucentpalisade: (Happies)

[personal profile] lucentpalisade 2015-05-11 02:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Such a tall family of Tallsons!~

Sophie glanced from Valvalis to the booth, and back. "Really?" Not even trying? Holy crap, man. She looked down at the mommy bomb plush, then over to the baby bomb plushies. "Won't she be sad to be taken away from her baby bombs?"

.. she isn't suggesting that they win the baby bombs though, it's just her way of thinking. Turning her attention back to Valvalis, she transferred the plush to her off hand and reached up to shake 'Big Sister's hand. "Thank you... Big sister. Valvalis." OH! She's supposed to introduce herself. "Tiger Festival calls me Heiyu. And sometimes, Heikid."

Because she has no idea what her name is.

aero_dienamic: (Smile)

[personal profile] aero_dienamic 2015-05-11 02:47 pm (UTC)(link)
She has a point, but... winning just one and not the rest causes more questions about seperation. "Well... maybe you can try to win one of them. See there's other Mommy Bombs but, maybe one can go home with this one?" she says and even tries to give the game runner a wink.

Can he really break a child's idealism? It's all up to if she wants to try or not.

"Heiyu... Oh no no no, I think you're mistaken that. It's Hey. You. It's because he doesn't know your name." Which is a touch odd... should not at least her Moogle know her name.

Soon there's a rustling from under her hair, a pink-haired Moogle pokes her head out. "That's weird... a Moogle not knowing their Hero's name?" Looks like Taiga is getting scolded by her own kind!

"Will you tell me your name?"

[personal profile] lucentpalisade 2015-05-11 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm. Well she could certainly try. She just had to imitate what Valvalis did right? "Okay, I'll try." She agreed. Surely the game runner wouldn't crush a cute kid's hopes and dreams of reuniting the bomb baby with its bomb mommy right?

Looking between Taiga and Valvalis when she explained the mistake, and then another moogle popping out to scold poor Taiga - the moogle waved his paws in defense. "It.. it's not my fault kupo! I asked her before that but -"

"I don't know what it is." Sophie answered for him. Poor Taiga, he does his best, and he got stuck with an amnesiac Hero.

Val, for being not an Archer, yet, does her best to show her how to hold it, and how to point the bow and arrow and then let go of the strings. Even if she manages to hit something she'll likely go home with that plus a tiny red bomb plush.

"Oh my, that's not good at all. Hmmm... but I've met people like that before. They say a name is something people give you. So, why don't we give you a new name right now? There's a lot of nice people here that will keep asking for your name when you meet them. Even my little sister would worry if you didn't have a name." You know, the one that's both taller and older? Yeah, she's the little sister somehow...
lucentpalisade: (Glancing)

[personal profile] lucentpalisade 2015-05-11 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Sophie was a quick learner, if nothing else - she could at least mimic the stance and how to hold the bow and arrow properly, but her aim wasn't as accurate as Valvalis'. She got close though! Close enough that the game runner gave her the tiny red bomb plush, much to pleased surprise.

"What if I remember my old name?" Worry worry. Will she have to get rid of her old name, because she'd have a new name? Whoever gave her her name would be sad, right?
Hmm. Maybe everyone was Valvalis' little sister, for some reason!
aero_dienamic: (Violent)

[personal profile] aero_dienamic 2015-05-11 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Consolation prize get!

"Well, if you remember, that's good! We'll just tell everyone you remembered your name finally and we'll call you that." she smiles, "It's not a problem at all, but, it would be nice to call you something." she says.

Sadly, not everyone is as keen on her as she might come off as. She used to be very very bad years ago! But we'll keep that on the hush-hush.

"Is there something that you really like? Or something that you remember that might be close. Anything can be a name. Except Heiyu." she says, shooting her Moogle a rather frightening glare.
lucentpalisade: (Bu-fly!)

[personal profile] lucentpalisade 2015-05-11 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
"Okay." Sophie was relieved at that.

She'd never believe Valvalis was a bad person years ago! She's so nice! "Ummm..." Something she really liked. "I like flowers. And I like purple. Can I be purple?" Or purple flower? "I like the sky..and animals." Is this any help at all?

Meanwhile, poor Taiga is terrified of Valvalis just from that glare. "K..kupo!!" Taiga ducked behind Sophie. Valvalis is scary!
aero_dienamic: (Default)

[personal profile] aero_dienamic 2015-05-12 05:08 pm (UTC)(link)
"Sure thing dear. We'll call you Purple for now." she smiles.

It's funny how in just a moment Val can be frightening and then friendly again. Just like the wind, isn't she?

"Did you want to play some other games while we're here. You must be new here, and I've never been to this city, so we can explore together."

And now Purple has a big bomb plush and a little one, starting her own family now! Maybe they make ones in blue and grey too!
lucentpalisade: (Glancing)

[personal profile] lucentpalisade 2015-05-12 05:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Sophie nodded, pleased. "Okay..!"

Taiga was not coming out from behind Sophie though - who knows when Valvalis was going to get mad and turn that glare on him next! She might turn him into Mooglechow.

"I'd like that," Sophie agreed. "But I don't know what games these are." Or how to play them - but they could figure that part out together. She seemed pretty happy though, an arm wrapped around Mama Bomb doll and Baby bomb doll. "What do you want to do?"
aero_dienamic: (Default)

[personal profile] aero_dienamic 2015-05-12 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
"I've seen a few other games but, they're for adults that have a lot of money." she pouts, speaking of the gambling, which she isn't good at. "And that looks like it's meant for really strong people." she points out a game in which you hammer down on a pad to try and ring the bell at the top.

"Hmmm... I'm sure we'll find something for us to play."

((As the player here is only thinking of carnival games at the moment...))
lucentpalisade: (Huh?)

[personal profile] lucentpalisade 2015-05-12 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh... I don't have that. That's 'gil' right?" Zelda had bought her some flowers earlier, that Taiga was taking care of.

Funny enough, in her previous life, she would have wrecked that hammer game. Now she'd have to train and work to get her strength up there again. "What is that?" Sophie asked, pointing over a vendor selling a pink and blue fluffy cloud like treat.
aero_dienamic: (Flirty)

[personal profile] aero_dienamic 2015-05-13 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
"I... don't know... Why don't we go and find out?"

Way to stump the formerly caged woman on the litlte sweets and delicacies of life... As if she'd know what Cotton Candy was given... she was a 'prisoner' for 6 years. Harumph!

Guiding Sophie over, she inquires about the pink and blue fluff. "Two of those, please."
lucentpalisade: (Huh?)

[personal profile] lucentpalisade 2015-05-13 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. Oops? Well. They would find out together! And the vendor handed over the fluff, a blue to Valvalis, and pink to Sophie.

"It looks like a cloud." She poked it with her finger, "On a stick." So it's food?
aero_dienamic: (Blushing)

[personal profile] aero_dienamic 2015-05-14 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
"Maybe. Other kids are eating it." she says, looking around. That seemed to be the thing going on so... Adventure!

Val picks a bit of it and eats... It's almost like the first time she had a soda! "It's... sweet..."
lucentpalisade: (Happy smile)

[personal profile] lucentpalisade 2015-05-14 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
"It melted.." Well maybe 'melted' wasn't quite the word she wanted, even though it kind of did. Right in her mouth. "But it's good."

It was like eating flavored air!
