Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Within a split second, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you know it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, your world vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see. Even you feel different: all the powers you might once have had are now gone. It is silent, cold and before long it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you...

And at this very moment, when it looks as though nothing but a never-ending void awaits you, a red Crystal forms before you. In this void, its warmth compels you to grab it. Upon doing so, you can hear a soft, soothing voice speaking:

"Wake up."

Soon, the void itself vanishes and is replaced by a gentle breeze. Had it all been nothing more than a dream? The soothing voice repeats its call once more, but is soon replaced by a much less graceful "Wake up, Kupo!" Hand clutched on your Crystal, the call of the Moogle may finally bring you back to your senses. But you are no longer in your world, nor in the void. You are before the Crystal of Wind, in the Temple located right outside of a city called Trano Golsaucia. At this point, you may realize the breeze originates from the massive green Crystal floating nearby. As if it wasn't strange enough, your clothes have changed as well. They are now a reflection of the Jobs you are wielding.

Last but not least, you are surrounded by Moogles, small and fluffy creatures. They look pretty tired, but they will be more than happy to tell you everything you want to know. They shall tell you about your 'destiny' as a Hero of Light and about what awaits you. Or at least, they will tell you everything they do know, which isn't much in the end.

There are quite a few people around you as well. For the most part, they are people like you-- All clothed in their Job garbs and most likely wondering what is happening. There are also some other Humans, Tarutaru and Hypello in the room, but unlike you they don't have a Crystal, nor do they have a Moogle following them. If addressed, they will say they are the Guardians of the Crystal of Wind and will confirm everything the Moogle said. They will reveal they found you unconscious around the Crystal a couples hours ago, and immediately contacted the Moogles and the government of Aqures Ixen.

If asked about it, both the Moogles and Guardians will explain that Heroes of Light have already appeared in this world within the past year, and they all are in a city called Aqures Ixen. It's the first time Heroes have appeared in this temple. In fact, you probably should go to Aqures Ixen as well. The Moogle will tell you this is where your house is and where the other Heroes will be able to help you. Thankfully, should you decide to take your sweet time to get there, the other Heroes may just come to you.

The Other Heroes
— Anytime —

And indeed, thanks to the efficiency of Mognet and Shoopuf Airline it does not take long for the other Heroes to come around. You may meet them in Trano Golsaucia or in Aqures Ixen, or maybe even in one of the Airships going back and forth between the two cities. They are those who arrived in this world months ago and they have gone through quite a lot. You may have imagined heroic and charismatic figures when your Moogle told you there were other Heroes of Light in this world. You may have imagined persons with fearsome powers when they told you how they recklessly attacked the Heran Empire to free their friends a few months ago. And most importantly, you may have imagined them as people who would have the answers to your, doubtlessly, numerous questions.

If so, you may be up for a complete and utter disappointment. Still, for the most part they know more than you on the situation and may be more than happy to fill you in, especially if your Moogle didn't tell you much.

Trano Golsaucia
— Anytime —

Should you leave the Temple of Wind and head south, you will reach Trano Golsaucia. It's a gigantic city covered with snow-- To make it simple, this city is a gigantic amusement park. It is the most popular place in this world and of course, there are plenty of people all around. Thankfully, other Heroes of Light are easy to spot: they are the only ones who are followed by a Moogle and holding a Crystal.

And there is quite a lot to be done in this city. Maybe you could stop by the Triple Triad Center to begin a successful career in card games, or maybe you could buy a ticket at the Blitzball Stadium to support your favorite team. If you're the kind of person who relies on luck, you may have more fun gambling in the Casino or betting on your favorite Chocobo in the Chocobo Races. If you're more of a person who enjoys simpler games, maybe you could try one of the numerous carnival-style mini-games found in the city, such as the shooting stand or the treasure chest game.

If you'd like more details regarding all the attractions and games available in Trano Golsaucia, you can find everything here! Of course, all of this requires money and odds are that you may not have a single Gil yet. If your Moogle is nice though, maybe you could ask him or her to loan you some Gil...

Airships
— Every Four Hours —

Upon reaching Trano Golsaucia, you will also have the right to board an Airship. Exceptionally, there is an Airship available every four hours, all because of your arrival so that Heroes of Light can meet each other and go to Aqures Ixen with ease.

The flight itself should take between four to six hours as it will travel from one city to the other on route. This is nothing special for the denizens of this world, but for you it may be quite the experience if you never boarded a plane or any flying contraptions before. The service is nothing special, but there are some light refreshments offered free of charge. Note that most of the employees on Airships are Hypello.

Aqures Ixen
— After an Airship Trip —

Upon arriving in Aqures Ixen, the first thing you will see is the Airship Port in the 12th District. Following that, no doubt your eyes will find the Castle of Aqures Ixen, a classic yet refined structure standing in the city. From there on, characters are free to visit the city-- There are no attractions in this city, but there are scientific buildings, another Blitzball Stadium and even an Observatory serving as base for the Heroes of Light. If you'd like more details regarding all that is available in Aqures Ixen, you can find everything here!

Or maybe -and perhaps inevitably!- you could visit your new house in the 11th or 14th District, and get to know your new neighbors and housemate. It's been a long day, so you could use some sleep. Hopefully your neighbors are people you will get along with...

[She laughs.]

So it's random but you might wind up playing mind games with yourself. I think I'd just pick one.
sizedoesntmatter: (6)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2015-05-28 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. Considering the multiple possibilities of what prize you might get. Though I guess the mind games work for those who want to get the best prizes.

[Sure he might think of it briefly, but he always was a tiny bit confident when playing games. he very rarely lose anyway.]

But it is best to just pick and hope for the best. But those aren't my favourite kind of games. Those that require skill and my types. [He paused for a moment.] So what type of games do you think you'd be best at?
playing_hearts: (thoughtful smile)

[personal profile] playing_hearts 2015-05-31 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Alice shrugs. This isn't a topic she's given much thought to.]

Never really thought about it. My sister and I used to play cards in the garden sometimes, and I've tried a lot of games in the amusement park lately, but I don't think I'd call myself good at any of them.
sizedoesntmatter: (53)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2015-06-01 09:39 am (UTC)(link)
If you can get the basic skill of them and at least a certain number of times, I guess that's when people would think they are good at something.

[Like he knew he very rarely lost a game against his friends, so he knew games were something he was good at. Unless of course people cheat or that one time he did lose. That was not a fun time when one loses there soul.]

But I'm sure you do have something you are better at than others? I don't mean it in a bad way, I mean everyone has a skill they do better at after all. It's what makes us who we are.

[personal profile] playing_hearts 2015-06-08 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
[The corner of her mouth quirks up in amusement. It sounds almost like he's trying to make her feel better and that's strangely adorable.]

I do have a few things I'm good at. I'm very organized and a hard worker. That sort of thing just doesn't usually help you win a game.
sizedoesntmatter: (32)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2015-06-09 08:02 am (UTC)(link)
True, being organized might not, but being a hard worker might be a good thing to have when it comes to playing a game.

[He looks away slightly. He thought he kind of sounded a little silly saying that.]

I mean if you try and try again counts as being a hard worker, of course. But I could be wrong.
playing_hearts: (smile)

[personal profile] playing_hearts 2015-06-10 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I think that depends on the game.

[Some games are just dumb luck, and she would be the first one to say her luck is far from good, but if strategy was involved she might do better.]

But maybe you could teach me that triple triad game sometime? It sounds interesting.

sizedoesntmatter: (110)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2015-06-10 08:29 am (UTC)(link)
It does depend on the game, that is true. Bit still it helps with those few that do need it.

[His smiles brightens a little bit.]

I would be happy to teach you. Though I guess there could be better players, but it's my job so I should be able to.
playing_hearts: (squee)

[personal profile] playing_hearts 2015-06-11 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, if it's your job then you must be good at it. You should take pride in your skill.

[She really couldn't ask for a better teacher than a pro.]
sizedoesntmatter: (74)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2015-06-11 01:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[He smiled slightly.]

I do take pride. I mean I kind of took the job before I learnt anything about the game. It was a gamble, but I guess it's paying off. [He moved to put his hand behind his back.]

I'm sure you'll find a job you are a good at here.
playing_hearts: (thoughtful smile)

[personal profile] playing_hearts 2015-06-18 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
[He learned the game after he got the job. Well, Alice is impressed.]

I don't think I could manage something like that. But I suppose I could find out if they need any help at the library.
sizedoesntmatter: (77)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2015-06-18 08:33 am (UTC)(link)
That's always a good start. I think they might considering how big it is though.

[He smiled slightly.]

Though I guess you'll know when you get to the city the library is at.
playing_hearts: (kind)

[personal profile] playing_hearts 2015-06-27 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
[The mention of a large library perks Alice right up.]

Oh, that's good to hear. The last world I was in didn't even have a public library.

[And borrowing books from Blood tended to be a chore.]
sizedoesntmatter: (161)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2015-06-27 08:42 am (UTC)(link)
Really? How is that possible, even where I am from we had something like that.

[Other were varied in so many ways, at least that was what he was only just figuring it out.]
playing_hearts: (so done with your crap)

[personal profile] playing_hearts 2015-06-29 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Well...

[How to explain this..]

The last place I was in.... was kind of strange.

[In so very many ways...]

The only libraries were private ones. There were book shops though.
sizedoesntmatter: (178)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2015-06-29 09:54 am (UTC)(link)
Kind of strange?

[He wondered what she meant by strange, but it didn't matter right now.]

Well... That's good at least. Having book shops is better than no books at all.
playing_hearts: (so done with this)

[personal profile] playing_hearts 2015-06-29 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, maybe I meant very strange. Actually, between the mafia and the amusement park always fighting for territory, and the queen beheading people left and right and crazy stalker rabbits....

Not having a library really wasn't that big an issue.

sizedoesntmatter: (173)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2015-06-29 05:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Mafia and an amusement park fighting over territory, a queen beheading people and crazy stalker rabbits.

[Yugi had no words on what to say about that honestly. That really was beyond what he thought had been strange.]

Your world sure is... interesting. [He'll just go with that.]
playing_hearts: (what the heck)

[personal profile] playing_hearts 2015-06-30 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
Huh? That wasn't my world. My world is normal.

[Alice, everyone thinks their world is normal.]

That's just the last world I was in before I came here.
sizedoesntmatter: (59)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2015-06-30 09:35 am (UTC)(link)
Wait... You went to another world then? How did you that time?

[It wasn't exactly a thing where he was from, especially since his was... somewhat normal at least, excluding spirits.]
playing_hearts: (so done with your crap)

[personal profile] playing_hearts 2015-07-01 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
I was kidnapped. By this weirdo stalker rabbit...

[Actually, now that she thinks about it, being brought here isn't all that different from a kidnapping....]
sizedoesntmatter: (154)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2015-07-01 10:26 am (UTC)(link)
Why did he... Actually... There is no excuse for a kidnapping no matter what.

[Unless one has to save the world, then he isn't so sure.]
playing_hearts: (contemplating)

[personal profile] playing_hearts 2015-07-03 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
He.... said he wanted to make me happy.

[She sighs heavily.]

I don't... think he was lying or anything. He's not really that bad a person...

[She would never tell Peter this to his face, but she's long since forgiven him for the kidnapping.]
sizedoesntmatter: (79)

[personal profile] sizedoesntmatter 2015-07-03 08:24 am (UTC)(link)
That's an odd way to make someone happy. I mean asking would have at least been polite.

[Otherwise it just seemed quite rude. He had soon realized he had been here a while and maybe she wanted to explore some more.]

I'm sure you would want to look around for yourself, right? If so then I won't bother you.
playing_hearts: (cute little bunny)

[personal profile] playing_hearts 2015-07-05 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
You weren't bothering me at all.

[Her smile is almost amused. Yugi is adorable.]

But I guess I ought to have a look around. See some of this place for myself. But it was nice meeting you.
