Because all of this makes sense [OPEN]
Characters: Yuffie and OPEN
Where: Aqures Ixen, also heading out of the city.
When: May 14th to May 20nd -ish
Summary: These chains of action make sense to Yuffie.
Warning: N/A
Rearranging some of MarKus's(or Spark's) things (or others – before meeting)
She would never take things and keep them, not anymore anyway. She just enjoyed moving her friends things around when they weren't around. If something caught her eye she might borrow it for a short period of time but she would always give it back. It was a distraction and it kept her skills sharp. There were many things filtering through her thoughts but nothing made sense when she finally went to put the pieces together.
Yuffie might be digressing a bit but it was the only way she really knew how to deal with everything. She wasn't sure if she should feel happy. Did she diverse to feel happy? Everything happens for a reason right? Maybe it was suppose to happen?
[ooc: Feel free to have Yuffie swipe anything. She'd look at it and then give it back or if she knows you, you can catch her moving your things around.]
Sneaking into windows (for those she knows - after meeting)
Her footsteps were silent as she moved across the gleaming grass. It wasn't so bright in the dark but the moons light was enough to make the area far to bright for Yuffie's liking. She couldn't really hide. She moved across the yard glancing at the window that stood like a checkered line marking the end of a race. It wasn't so hard to get to.
Yuffie should have probably turned invisible to do this but that wasn't as much fun and there was a purpose to her visit. The meeting had her thinking and this was her best chance to finally do something. She didn't think the other heroes were going to do anything so quickly so she was going to leave and try and do things herself.
There were just a few places she had to stop by first.
She moved up towards the window moving silently as she carefully began to open the sliding glass. She peeked in the window waiting for her eyes to adjust to the darker room. Let's hope her target was asleep.
Leaving town (Maybe not permanently or at all – after meeting)
Mooshoo finally caught up to her as she walked away from the city gates. A bag was slung over her shoulder and she walked with a purpose. She should probably leave with company but that didn't really cross her mind. She wanted to do something and this was one of the few times Mooshoo was trying to talk her out of a crazy idea.
”...This isn't a good idea” Mooshoo watched Yuffie his expression filled with worry. He usually let her be watching as she grew and changed over time. He knew that people cared about her and she cared about those around her and yet she was trying to do things on her own again.
“Come on. Mushu. It will be fine. I can't just do nothing.” She flashed him an angry stare.
”....you shouldn't go alone...”
“Yeah, I don't think anyone would want to come with. Besides I have even more people I want to protect.” She meant to make it sound like she was complaining but her tone became wistful and soft as she spoke. Yuffie knew a handful of people who'd get pissed if she just up and left.

Leaving Town
Yuffie rolled her eyes and walked towards Vincent. It was hard for her not to smile. It would good seeing a friend again, more so if he can keep his head on his shoulder. "We know each other pretty well." She smiled and winked at Ophelia.
"So Vinnie. What cha been up too?" She crossed her arms with a curious gaze. It was hard to get things from Vincent though she hoped in this situation that he'd talk more.
Re: Leaving Town
Ophelia blinked, and then moved over to Mooshoo, shrugging and tilting her head in silent question to him.
Leaving Town
Mooshoo glanced at Ophelia and gave her a polite nod. "I suppose he's from Gaia, Kupo. Yuffie's a little odd but she's a good person."
Yuffie felt her eyes twitch at that and cast a glare towards Mooshoo. She still hadn't forgiven him. Her attention then quickly shifted back to Vincent. "What bout you? You knew me which means that they had found you in your weird coffin thing."
Re: Leaving Town
His eyebrow raised, a hint of smile hidden under his cloak at her description as 'weird coffin thing'. Ophelia listened to Mooshoo, then nodded. "A lot of the heroes are odd kupo."
Leaving Town
Yuffie put her arms behind her head and started to walk back towards the city. She waved for Vincent to follow. "Come on." She'd wait for him but then she'd start talking hoping to fill him in quickly. "I showed you some time in winter. I was 13 or something then. I turned into crystal and then emerged with new memories. Honestly it felt like a dream but I knew it happened. All the way past our fight with Sephitorth." Obviously they won that fight.
She looked up at him curiously. "So your from back then. Weird. I suppose you know who all is here then?"
Re: Leaving Town
That was more than he'd said so far. Brief, but informative.
Leaving Town
Mooshoo followed behind happy to see that Yuffie had given up her plans of heading out of the city. The truth was she didn't really want to explain what she had been planing to Vincent. She knew he wouldn't be okay with it either, even if he didn't know what was going on.
"Where's your assigned housing?" Her head tilted curiously to the side as she walked. How she managed to not walk into anything while she was looking up at him was a miracle.
Re: Leaving Town
"I hadn't found out yet." Vincent replied, before turning his head. Ophelia noticed after a moment, and fluttered up to the pair. "Kupo?"
"Where have I been assigned to live, Ophelia?" Vincent had gone straight around to exploring and getting to know the city. The moogle gave a sigh, and turned to Yuffie. "OH so NOW he wants to know. Didn't care to find out when we first got in, Kupo..."
Vincent just waited, staring at his moogle as they walked. She sighed again dramatically, before answering. "Housing A, number 2, in the 14th district. We walked right by it earlier, kupo!"
Leaving Town
Her smile, however, didn't last long. The moment she mentioned what house he was staying in her jaw dropped.
"That's my house." She looked up at Vincent, her mind trying to move through her jumbled thoughts.
I'm living with Vincent!!
Yuffie shook her head and continued forward trying to play off her thoughts like nothing was wrong. "Whelp, let's go home then."
Re: Leaving Town
"...better it's someone I know." Vincent murmured, tone much the same as it always was.
Leaving Town
She looked up at Vincent curiously. "So you don't mind. Living with me?" She watched him, waiting for his response.
Re: Leaving Town
Leaving Town
Yuffie put her arms behind her head and pouted as she continued. "I understand privacy. That or getting stabbed because you climb through the wrong window." Now she'd have to be mindful as to how she came into the house. She couldn't just come and go whenever through any opening.
"The spare room's clean though." Not because she cleaned it but because Mooshoo did.
Re: Leaving Town
Vincent simply nodded. There might have been the barest of hints of a smirk under the cape. "Then there will be no problem." Not from him, anyways.
Leaving Town
She sighed, “Yeah, no problem. Though if I hear something weird I’m coming in to check on you.” She wasn’t heartless and she’d worry if she heard something in the room across the hall. Then Yuffie was silent. She knew that Vincent wouldn’t say anything because she hadn’t asked a question.
There was just so much she wanted to tell him.
Re: Leaving Town
"Define 'weird'..." Vincent murmured, as they continued with Yuffie slightly leading the way. It wouldn't take them long to get to house A02 with the pace they were setting.
Leaving Town
"Do I really need to explain?" There was lightens to her expression though it didn't reach her eyes. "This place isn't so safe as Gaia." Which was saying something.
Yuffie looked forward just as their home came into view. She ran up opening the door without using her key. She'd forgotten to lock it. "Welcome home."
Re: Leaving Town
He paid attention to his allies while they had been traveling, and had come to care in his own way. In this new world that was familiar and not, that care remained. Even with the difference in where people had been brought from on the time-line.
"Ophelia." He murmured, looking at his moogle when she floated closer to him, her eyes bright. "Would you mind if Yuffie took over as my guide for now?" There might be a hint of amusement in his tone. "I think we're safe enough in this house..."
The moogle tilted her head for a moment, before she made a quiet noise, and then nodded. "I can do that kupo! I should get used to this city and it's office anyways." Fluttering back over to Mooshoo and looping her paw around his. "Come show me around kupo! I hadn't gotten to travel much before!" Her scarf trailing behind her.
Once both moogles were gone, Vincent simply turned to Yuffie and raised an eyebrow. Red eyes watching, questioning her without words. Waiting patiently.
Leaving Town
Once they were gone Yuffie kicked the ground and then gestured to the house. "Here it is. You get Sephiroth/Hibiki's room." She paused. "It might smell like dog." Hibiki had pets.
She paused when she went to walk up the steps. "Also, there is nothing to eat in the frig and there's a blue spot of the floor that I can explain later." Had she mentioned that? She really didn't remember. She looked back at Vincent watching him curiously.
"Any questions?"
Re: Leaving Town
"What happened?" Vincent was watching her, his head tilted to the side. Hoping she would pick up on the unspoken words this time. The intent. He wasn't talking about a blue spot, he was more worried about what had happened to her.
Leaving Town
"I haven't told anyone details yet but.." Yuffie sat down on the couch which looked like a place that she occasionally fallen asleep considering there was a blanket and a pillow draped over it's side. "A few months ago... Like two. I mean I've been here since Fall. It's been over half a year. But there was a battle. The Empire invaded Esdham which is a little ways south of here. Everyone went to help and I did too. I was trying to take down their main ship. I was with others and we got separated. I was... taken."
She leaned her head back against the couch looking up at the ceiling. She wasn't sure why she was telling him. Maybe because she knew he wouldn't tell anyone else. "I was told it was over a month that I was there. There were four of us and they tested on us. To find the limits of the crystals I guess. It sucked. I haven't told anyone the details."
Yuffie looked over at Vincent. "Is that what you wanted to hear?"
Re: Leaving Town
To her question she nodded, and made a faint noise of thought. "I am sorry that happened." Simple, but sincere--that he'd offered the sympathy at all was a sign. He didn't really speak without a reason.
Tilting his head, he nodded for her to go on if she wanted. He was a good listener. He understood very very well what it was like to be tested on.
Leaving Town
"So testing. They kept us in cells, food sucked but it only got really bad the last week or so when we were tossed in with the new heroes. I found out Cid was here then." She paused. "Wrong Cid. Now ours. He acts like ours though."
"They did... really awful tests. At first it wasn't so bad. They put me in a room with white walls and my blades. They threw monsters at me until a I have a limit break. I was... so tired. I kept fighting. I'm sure they would have let me die. After I used that ability I passed out. I don't remember anything until I was thrown into the cell with Luffy."
"Then..." She paused covering her eyes with her palm beneath the blanket.
Re: Leaving Town
"...then?" He prompted. Taking care with the question, voice low but he gave what warmth he could to it. Trying to let her know it was alright, he understood.
Leaving Town
"They filled me with poison. It... hurt. For hours... days. I can't remember. I just felt pain. Like my body was on fire. They came back a few days later to take me again. It was going to be the same test. But..." Her voice faltered and she looked back at the blanket, her fingers curling tightly around the soft cover.
"Luffy went in my place. He wouldn't let me be taken again. After he was gone they came back for me. I didn't know why. The test was running on Luffy, not me. They made me watch him. I don't know why. There was no reason for it. I watched him be filled with the same poison that I was. I watched him for hours.... days. It felt like it never ended."
She paused for a long time.
"It hurt."
It was an understatement but she wasn't able to really explain.
