Because all of this makes sense [OPEN]

Characters: Yuffie and OPEN
Where: Aqures Ixen, also heading out of the city.
When: May 14th to May 20nd -ish
Summary: These chains of action make sense to Yuffie.
Warning: N/A

Rearranging some of MarKus's(or Spark's) things (or others – before meeting)

She would never take things and keep them, not anymore anyway. She just enjoyed moving her friends things around when they weren't around. If something caught her eye she might borrow it for a short period of time but she would always give it back. It was a distraction and it kept her skills sharp. There were many things filtering through her thoughts but nothing made sense when she finally went to put the pieces together.

Yuffie might be digressing a bit but it was the only way she really knew how to deal with everything. She wasn't sure if she should feel happy. Did she diverse to feel happy? Everything happens for a reason right? Maybe it was suppose to happen?

[ooc: Feel free to have Yuffie swipe anything. She'd look at it and then give it back or if she knows you, you can catch her moving your things around.]

Sneaking into windows (for those she knows - after meeting)

Her footsteps were silent as she moved across the gleaming grass. It wasn't so bright in the dark but the moons light was enough to make the area far to bright for Yuffie's liking. She couldn't really hide. She moved across the yard glancing at the window that stood like a checkered line marking the end of a race. It wasn't so hard to get to.

Yuffie should have probably turned invisible to do this but that wasn't as much fun and there was a purpose to her visit. The meeting had her thinking and this was her best chance to finally do something. She didn't think the other heroes were going to do anything so quickly so she was going to leave and try and do things herself.

There were just a few places she had to stop by first.

She moved up towards the window moving silently as she carefully began to open the sliding glass. She peeked in the window waiting for her eyes to adjust to the darker room. Let's hope her target was asleep.

Leaving town (Maybe not permanently or at all – after meeting)

Mooshoo finally caught up to her as she walked away from the city gates. A bag was slung over her shoulder and she walked with a purpose. She should probably leave with company but that didn't really cross her mind. She wanted to do something and this was one of the few times Mooshoo was trying to talk her out of a crazy idea.

”...This isn't a good idea” Mooshoo watched Yuffie his expression filled with worry. He usually let her be watching as she grew and changed over time. He knew that people cared about her and she cared about those around her and yet she was trying to do things on her own again.

“Come on. Mushu. It will be fine. I can't just do nothing.” She flashed him an angry stare.

”....you shouldn't go alone...”

“Yeah, I don't think anyone would want to come with. Besides I have even more people I want to protect.” She meant to make it sound like she was complaining but her tone became wistful and soft as she spoke. Yuffie knew a handful of people who'd get pissed if she just up and left.

[There's everything bad about it, unless you're married! Doesn't her world have customs about these things or whatever? Geh. Doug's hand remains on his head, trying to recall the details from that dream.]

That's the thing; I can't say for sure. Since I was just observing, the person I was with never really spoke to her. [Otherwise he'd have done it himself first chance he got.] But I'm saying it had to be her - she was at the Temple of Water with the rest of us.

[That much was unmistakable. From what he could tell, she seemed to be on their side back then. But for all he knew, that could have easily been an act.]

Whether or not she was on our side back then or not, who knows. But the Calamity's progress was a lot worse back then compared to now. That much I remember.

Yeah. And if the dream's any indication, it's going to get bad. Real bad. There was some technology inside that place that even told you what places were getting crystallized right as it was happening - I think Kalki was working with one of those things.

[Dammit. It might have been due to their... past complications, but he didn't have a very strong influence over Ventuswill in the past so he wasn't able to influence her to go speak with her. From what it seemed like, Ventuswill didn't think she was of much concern to go approach. Then again, the Native Dragon turned human did seem to go through things to distance herself from the rest of the Heroes, sans those she considered her "friends." That may have been another reason he couldn't influence her to approach Kalki.]

If I knew, I'd tell you. She was with us back then though so there's no doubt she had to be a Hero, or some kind of ally. Or... she could have been pretending to be one. That's another possibility.

[Doug didn't really trust or like that woman enough to consider the possibility, but Yuffie had a point that she could have been a former Hero like the rest of them. But if that were so, some things don't quite add up.]

But if that's the case, there's one thing that separates her from the rest of us: she somehow survived the Calamity that claimed the world in the past, and not only that? She obviously remembers what happened back then. That also means she's not a doppelganger like what happened to the past Heroes.

That means... [He balls up his hand into a fist, clenching.] I hate saying this, but she's got one up over Jessie and the rest of them. She might be the one person who actually has answers to any of this.

But the doppelganger I-- [Briefly, he stops before correcting himself.] we all met remember nothing. If she's just like the rest of them - a former hero, that doesn't make any sense. ... Argh, I just don't know.

[With a frustrated sigh, he wipes a hand down his face before sitting back down on the bedside, not especially caring that Yuffie was right there too.]

We'll have to track her down if that's our plan. [Even if Doug had to do it himself... or even take drastic measures to ensure a meeting with her? He'd do it.] That, and all the other places we saw in that dream. If the Temple of Water was there, that means they have to still exist in some form. That could offer us some clues.

[He remembers the cave from his dream, along with that black crystal. It's possible Kalki may know about it. Though one idea of getting close involved a plan he didn't especially like, but it could ensure a means of getting close. But that would have to be a last resort. Assuming it even worked.]

... Hey. Do you still have that charm I gave you?

[For a moment he pauses, before a small smile turns up on his face as he faces Yuffie. It's genuine.]

That so?

[He trails off for a bit, silent. There weren't a lot of people Doug considered honest friends, let alone close enough to put any serious trust in them. The idea that she still held onto something she considered a token of friendship; that only served to make things even more conflicted, if he were to take that very last resort.]

That's good - I'm glad to hear it. Thanks.

[Was this somehow intentional on her part? Or was it just some weird coincidence that it once again ended up a token of friendship? A rather ironic one, at that, considering past complications.]

N-No, um. I just wanted to know if you still had it. That's all.

[He ruffles his hair, glancing downwards. Perhaps to Yuffie it was irrelevant, but to Doug it was far from the case. A reminder... or perhaps a warning that he shouldn't have to take that option, lest he cause trouble for everyone once more.]

Anyway... What do you say? Think we should track her down? Or d'you think we should start with those places everyone else saw in those dreams?

There's definitely something off about her. I mean, not just the dream thing, but she left letters for all of us. One with an address - I don't even know how the hell she got in here - and another explaining what the hell that was all about.

[The first one was definitely weird, unless she or some Moogle of hers had a penchant for breaking into rooms. Kind of like a certain someone else he knows.]

Tracking her down's going to be the issue. I doubt she's still at the research center what with the whole crystalization thing going on, and I'm not sure waltzing right into the Empire's front doors is a better idea. They may not even have a whole lot of time left, depending on how fast the Calamity's progressing.
