Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Everything around you freezes, nearly as if time itself stopped, as if the world was frozen in time. And before you have a chance to understand what is happening, you can hear a voice right behind you.
"Kali Shashidhwaja."
Should you turn around, you may see a child who seems to be the only one aside from you unaffected by what is happening. And as she stares right at you, it makes no doubt these strange words are aimed at you. But before you can reply to her, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you know it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, Crystallis vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see.
And once again you feel different: all the powers from your Jobs are fading. Not only that, but you might find that your Crystal is gone and your clothes back to what they were before you woke up in Crystallis. It is silent, cold and before long it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you... And yet, slowly the world reforms around you. The darkness fades away and a new world appears, yet at the same time this is not a world.
This is a memory. The question is, is it yours or that of someone else?

Fai's Memory
These were the first thoughts heard as the memory showed Fai raising his left arm, a stream of magic appearing in the air as he did. His thoughts still were on show as the blonde continued to draw in the air, creating various symbols.
'And so... You mustn't lose it!'
As he swiftly moved his arm to the side, he sent out the spell he had been casting towards a brunette that was standing there, looking up as a symbol hung over them. The magic from the eye slowly going up to it. Fai had been hoping that this could work, but deep down he knew the odds were very likely that he wouldn't be able to do this. But that didn't stop him from trying.
Soon the symbol vanished and all that was left was a ball that had the symbol of ying and yang. He watched as the ball slowly floated down to the others hand as Syaoran's expression was emotionless and empty as he just looked at it, dropped it and let it roll over towards Fai's feet. Fai slowly knelt down, his fingers brushing up lightly against it he picked it up, slowly standing up again, watching as Syaoran had come closer to him.
he looked down with a saddened look. "Syaoran-kun..." The moment he said his name Syaoran used his left leg to kick the blond in the face, sending him flying further away. It wasn't long before the brunette walked on over. "Was that the only feather in this world?" Syaoran spoke as he knelt down, grabbing Fai's neck as Fai looked back at him.
"Don't try to use magic. Your eyes. They're the source of your magic power, right?"
Fai's eyes widened slightly as Syaoran's hands slowly moved closer and closer towards his left eye until soon it was lightly touching.
"I will need them to get the feathers back." The moment the Clone's fingers squeezed managing to slowly but surely pull the eye out of the socket. The moment that the blood trickled down his face, the whole thing resetted itself as the modern day Fai stood there, frozen in place. As much as he had moved on, that memory still haunted him. That was the day everything changed for him, both for the good and for the bad. His arms slowly wrapped around himself. He wished he didn't have to see it right now. He wished that people didn't have it see it either.
Fai's Memory
"Fai!"
Her voice was filled with worry and as the memory faded she ran forward standing next to her friend. She let out a sigh of relief seeing that both of his eyes were still in place.
"Fai.. what is this?"
no subject
"That... was a memory from a few years ago." he let out a small but somewhat forced chuckle. "I bet you were wondering why I have two eyes and not one, right?"
no subject
"Fai..." Yuna paused again taking a step towards her friend. "What happened?"
She shouldn't ask, she had no right too and yet, she wanted to know. She wanted to support him and be there for him like he had been for her.
no subject
Rubbing his hand on the back of his head he wasn't looking at her at all. After all this was always difficult to admit. "Well...It's obvious what happened and it... lead to possible the worst point in my life." he glanced back, this time his eyes were looking at Syaoran before looking away again. The scene looked so much worse than before.
"I was more than willing to die because I knew if I did the magic...Syaoran-kun took would vanish. However Kuro-chan kind of refused to let me and instead...Turned me into a vampire." He closed his eyes, taking a small breath.
"It's obvious that well, things worked out in the end but it was the lowest point in my life and honestly I've had a lot of terrible things happen that I won't talk about. So it is really saying something."
no subject
"Syaoran-kun. He's your friend right? The one you wanted to protect?" She could tell from the look on his face and by the way he spoke. There was someone who he was traveling between worlds with who he needed to stay by. "Does he blame you? I don't think so."
Yuna's smile grew a little stronger. "If he did. You wouldn't be the person you are. The person that wouldn't let me give up. You should give yourself more credit Fai. You're amazing. You do what you can, even if it doesn't always make sense, you care about those with you."
Her voice lowered to a soft whisper. "It's alright to not like the past, but you shouldn't deny it." He'd only live to repeat it.
no subject
"...I know he doesn't blame me, it was always going to happen. But as I said things worked out at the end of the day... But still." The scene had ended and was about to start all over again. He wasn't sure that he could actually accept it. he had never wanted to go through that, and it was a tough hurdle to get over, but at the same time he could understand Yuna's words.
"It's kind of funny really, I use to always linger in my past, that was what drove me. Now I don't accept it." As the words came from his mouth he gave out a small chuckle once more. It was kind of ironic really.
no subject
She wanted him to accept his past because it was what made him. The good and the sad, none of it should be changed. "I really like the person you are Fai. It's sad and it might be hard to accept but..." She couldn't find a way to tell him, to explain what she meant.
no subject
He didn't let go, at least he didn't see the point right now. "I'm glad you like me for who I am. I appreciate that." the memory was still going, having been on repeat once again for at least the third time. Each time it was worse than it had been before, but Fai hadn't been paying attention. Instead he was focused on the one before him.
"I know however I have to accept it...I thought I have but I guess I never truly understood how to."
no subject
Yuna smiled. "Sometimes you need to talk about it. I know sometimes things don't feel real until they've been said for someone to hear." She lightly squeezed his hand just so that he knew she was there.
no subject
With a tiny smile, he moved his arm and slowly wrapped them around the other, pulling her into a hug. "Thank you though, for helping. I'm glad you care about me enough to want to."
no subject
"I want you to be happy."
no subject
"I guess I should just accept this all so it can end before it goes around again even worse than before." He felt like he could do that, move forward and not look back at this. After all this was part of who he became. He probably would still be faking it if it had never happened and he didn't regret that one bit.
It didn't take long for him to accept it and for it all to end and with that a little sigh of relief passed by his mouth. He was glad it was over.
no subject
Yuna hoped he could accept it and she felt the dream change and shift as he did. They stood there for a moment looking into each others eyes until the memory slowly faded to black.
Her lips moved to say something but then she was gone, thrown into another dream. He might still hear her words ringing after him.
"I'll always be with you."
