Event || In Your Worst Memory

Characters: All Heroes of Light. Only those who signed-up can start a memory.
Where: Interdimensional Rift
When: May 27th - May 30th
Summary: The Heroes of Light relive some of their worst memories, with a twist. All characters participating in this will be physically missing from Crystallis for the duration of the event.
Warning: It depends on the memory.

Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Everything around you freezes, nearly as if time itself stopped, as if the world was frozen in time. And before you have a chance to understand what is happening, you can hear a voice right behind you.

"Kali Shashidhwaja."

Should you turn around, you may see a child who seems to be the only one aside from you unaffected by what is happening. And as she stares right at you, it makes no doubt these strange words are aimed at you. But before you can reply to her, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you know it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, Crystallis vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see.

And once again you feel different: all the powers from your Jobs are fading. Not only that, but you might find that your Crystal is gone and your clothes back to what they were before you woke up in Crystallis. It is silent, cold and before long it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you... And yet, slowly the world reforms around you. The darkness fades away and a new world appears, yet at the same time this is not a world.

This is a memory. The question is, is it yours or that of someone else?

Elizabeth watches the song routine, and the combat, pondering quietly to herself till the fight is joined.

"I do not believe you will win this, he was almost the prey of Erebus before that girl jogged him from it and that is not something that can be done without emotional connection. That and he is obviously holding back."

Gaston turned in the falling rain and his eyes narrowed as he looked upon the madwoman. This woman strained his definition of sanity and now she was intruding on his attempt to turn his personal story his way.

Forgetting his quarry for the moment he marched towards her even as she rambled on. "What in the blind blazes of Hell are you talking about woman? You shouldn't even be here. And what do you know of Belle and the Beast?"

His eyes narrowed and he leaned in to her tight and close, "You're on his side, aren't you? I should have known. You've been trying to undermine me the moment we met. Begone from my sight. A woman like you should know her place...the kitchen or a nunnery."

Elizabeth just stares at him, her eyes glistening gold in a rather inhumane way as she shakes her head.

"What do I know of Bell et la Bête? It is a french story from the late 18th century that is one of two french tales of how love overcomes physical repulsion by showing a noble heart. As for the specifics, you would have to ask my brother. He has more of the traits of a princess than I do."

"As for a kitchen or a nunnery, those are things for oppressed mortal women. Ones born under cards linked to services. And as you are trapped with the Devil, peering out into this Tower that you can either move to or perish in, I am currently a Fool. Leave this place and find one of those lesser women who would accept your world and you may yet live."

The tale was not one that Gaston was familiar with. Not simply because of timing or the rules that kept characters in stories from knowing their own tale. The mere fact that it was in a book made it less than significant at all to Gaston's life. Why would he ever have to read when he could hunt?

"Cease your prattling witch! Your words are meaningless to me! Get thee behind me!" But certainly no less prescient. He turned away from her on the rooftop, returning to the stalking of his prey. If left to his own devices, this would surely end the same way it did back in his world. Even Gaston couldn't deny the harsh truth of memory.

"The perhaps if I say them in a way that a small child could understand they may bear some meaning."

She doesn't move, she merely looks at the beast, "You are facing a foe who has no want to hurt you and should you provoke him you will die. If this IS in fact that story, then you are not even a character of importance in it. All that matters is that Beauty and the Beast come together. At least, all that the story is concerned with."
