Event || In Your Worst Memory

Characters: All Heroes of Light. Only those who signed-up can start a memory.
Where: Interdimensional Rift
When: May 27th - May 30th
Summary: The Heroes of Light relive some of their worst memories, with a twist. All characters participating in this will be physically missing from Crystallis for the duration of the event.
Warning: It depends on the memory.

Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Everything around you freezes, nearly as if time itself stopped, as if the world was frozen in time. And before you have a chance to understand what is happening, you can hear a voice right behind you.

"Kali Shashidhwaja."

Should you turn around, you may see a child who seems to be the only one aside from you unaffected by what is happening. And as she stares right at you, it makes no doubt these strange words are aimed at you. But before you can reply to her, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you know it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, Crystallis vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see.

And once again you feel different: all the powers from your Jobs are fading. Not only that, but you might find that your Crystal is gone and your clothes back to what they were before you woke up in Crystallis. It is silent, cold and before long it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you... And yet, slowly the world reforms around you. The darkness fades away and a new world appears, yet at the same time this is not a world.

This is a memory. The question is, is it yours or that of someone else?

Elizabeth folds her hands behind her back and follows, still looking about.

"Still, there is some normalcy to be found in removing the body so it can be cared for properly. I mean on one of the worlds that had some dealings with the demons and gods we dealt with in the Velvet Room, there was a scientist that used alchemy and magic to bring the dead back to life."

She stops and taps her chin, "Though, if what I have been told is to be true it ended disastrously, but at least we aren't near Victor's laboratory."

Jade stopped in his tracks and stared up at the ceiling for several seconds. It took some restraint not to bash his head against the wall.

"Sadly, some people don't even wait to find a laboratory before they attempt such things," he finally said, quite calm. Then he followed the children towards the back door of the house, the only path out that hadn't collapsed yet.

"Oh no, he had quite a formidable laboratory. I believe he may have even had access to Dr. West's formula and that has been removed from most mortal hands."

She shrugs and continues, "I never did get to see it though. We weren't really needed on that Earth, and never had any guests from there."

"Not quite what I meant, but nevermind. You'll see soon enough."

They stepped out from the fire and smoke onto the chilly, snow-covered hill behind the house. There was no one around, though shouts of alarm could be heard in the distance, as the residents of Keterburg caught sight of the fire.

The boys laid Nebilim down on the snow. Although she was deathly pale, the faint rise of her torso told them she was still alive, just barely.

"Jade!" sobbed Saphir. "The Professor is going to die!"

"Yes. It's my fault." Jade, by contrast, appeared completely calm. "It's too late to save her now. But with fomicry..."

Elizabeth watched curiously for a moment, "Oh my. So you would seek to tread in the domain of the gods as well. I wonder will this have the same results? You seem mostly intact so perhaps not."

She still watches the children quietly and curiously.
jadethenecromancer: (well this is just depressing)

The curiosity was, funnily enough, easier to accept than sympathy. That way Jade, too, could keep the memory at a distance, watch it with impassiveness rather than get unnecessarily emotional.

Well, almost. If he ignored the sensation of nausea in the pit of his stomach.

"Oh! You're going to make a replica of the Professor?" Saphir brightened up, hopeful. "But we don't have a fomicry machine..."

"I'll use fonic artes to do it. I did it once with Nephry's doll, so it should work."

The younger Jade knelt down by Nebilim's side, holding his hands above her and focusing. A glyph of light spread beneath her, and slowly, a shape came to being next to her -- a human woman, completely identical to the original.
