Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Everything around you freezes, nearly as if time itself stopped, as if the world was frozen in time. And before you have a chance to understand what is happening, you can hear a voice right behind you.
"Kali Shashidhwaja."
Should you turn around, you may see a child who seems to be the only one aside from you unaffected by what is happening. And as she stares right at you, it makes no doubt these strange words are aimed at you. But before you can reply to her, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you know it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, Crystallis vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see.
And once again you feel different: all the powers from your Jobs are fading. Not only that, but you might find that your Crystal is gone and your clothes back to what they were before you woke up in Crystallis. It is silent, cold and before long it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you... And yet, slowly the world reforms around you. The darkness fades away and a new world appears, yet at the same time this is not a world.
This is a memory. The question is, is it yours or that of someone else?

It took him a moment to regain his senses and push himself up -- that was always a nasty side effect of lightning magic -- and when he spotted Terra, concern was still at the forefront. "Terra! Terra, hang on!"
Come on, move! He dug his Keyblade into the ground to use it as support, but it was still slow going with so much of his body buzzing. That lightning magic had been serious stuff.

She slowly rose to her elbows watching her fingers and arms turn into claws. The purple mist swirled around her as the Esper inside of her took control. She hadn't learned what this power did and she was helpless to it. She screamed feeling pain as her body transformed.
Madiun didn't seem so concerned with her plight. He ignored the soldiers and armor around him and attacked Terra. She felt fire gather beneath her as he casted flare. She closed her eyes curling on the ground trying to stop the transformation.
no subject
Her transformation was alarming, but only in the sense that it seemed to be hurting her. Rapidly, Ven cast Cura on himself in quick succession to try and get himself moving faster, but at best he could only stumble in her direction.

She jumped forward at Maduin feeling lighting at her fingers tips as she swiped across his chest. Even transformed her father didn't recognize her. He roared and brought his claw down to catch her. She was small in comparison and quick slipping from his grasp. They didn't seem to see anyone else and yet Maduin readied to cast again this time with something larger that would take out the soldiers gathering at their sides as well.

He was on his feet now, at least, but he stopped dead in his tracks when he realized that the larger creature was about to cast again. He wasn't sure who it was aiming for, but better safe than sorry: shifting his grip on his Keyblade, Ven struck the spaulder on his shoulder with his fist -- and fortunately, like with his weapon, the summons worked. He was instantly encased in his full armor, hopefully providing better protection against any more major spells that the creature doled out.
That done, he cast Blizzara in its direction, hoping to stop or at least stall that spell.

He's shown himself as a threat and that armor was only more confirmation that he needed to be eradicated. More soldiers flanked either sides of Ven shooting at the towering creature.
Maduin roared his voice echoing into the clouds as lighting pulsed and jumped around him. He through out his hands and the lighting surged. It's main target was Ven but he was prepared to hit everyone in his way from the soldiers to Terra's limp form. A moment after the spell was cast he staggered feeling blood trickle from his wounds. He's been fighting for so long.

In the same instant that the spell was cast, Ven switched his hold on his Keyblade to point it skyward and unleashed his own: seven pillars of light instantly appeared around him and, after a narrow heartbeat, spun around him in an arc and expanded outward, passing over the soldiers closest to him -- but Ven was careful to keep the attack neutral against them, intending to use the pillars as a shield at the least, or at best a method of neutralizing the lightning blast.
Those caught in the field of brilliant light would find themselves significantly healed as well, although it was a toss-up as to whether it would reach Terra. Hopefully, it would hit the creature and do some offensive damage while he was at it, or act as a distraction.

Terra's body was moved from the blast but she didn't get any more injury's. Her breathing was slowly failing and her eyes closed as she slowly shifted back to the delicate girl with mint green hair. The vale of power was shed off her like a collection of feathers blown away by the wind. She felt the pain from her fathers attack. She had been his target and she never got to talk to him. She couldn't even stop him but then she wondered if she was even truly trying. She didn't want to hurt her dad.
Maybe it's better to die.
Maduin kept his gaze on those who were actively firing on him. His tail flicked and destroyed more soldiers but each time more appeared.

"Terra!" Reaching up, he pulled off his helm and let it fall to the side, anxiety all over his face. "Terra, hold on, okay? Just a little longer!"
He would have to end this, soon -- otherwise no amount of healing could help her, if that thing kept attacking them like it had done so far.

Her claw slowly reached up towards Ven as pain laced through her again. Her body arched and slowly Terra turned back into the delicate girl with mint green hair. She looked up at Ven, her hand falling back towards her chest as the power she once had fluttered away. She felt so tired but she knew if she fell asleep she might not wake back up.
“Ven…” Terra licked her lips, her throat dry and her voice soft. “I’m sorry… Please… run… run from him…He will die… soon…”
no subject
He spared a glance up at the monster again. The soldiers were doing a good job of keeping it distracted, so Ven looked back to Terra. "Terra, come on -- don't rest yet-- Do you think you can move?"
no subject
She felt weak as she tried to raise herself up again. Bit by bit the scene around them faded to black. First the sky and then the mountains in the distance. They the soldiers around them and the Maduin as the Esper slowly turned to crystal. Then the ground until it was only Ven and Terra in the darkness.
"Thank you." Her words were distant before she too faded and they were separated into new memories.
