Where you were or what you were doing— It does not really matter. Not any more. Everything around you freezes, nearly as if time itself stopped, as if the world was frozen in time. And before you have a chance to understand what is happening, you can hear a voice right behind you.
"Kali Shashidhwaja."
Should you turn around, you may see a child who seems to be the only one aside from you unaffected by what is happening. And as she stares right at you, it makes no doubt these strange words are aimed at you. But before you can reply to her, the world around you collapses. Reality twists and shatters... Or maybe you are the one who is collapsing and shattering away from reality as you know it. No matter what the answer is, it will only take a few seconds for you to find yourself sinking into a void, Crystallis vanishing into the distance. There is nothing but darkness as far as the eye can see.
And once again you feel different: all the powers from your Jobs are fading. Not only that, but you might find that your Crystal is gone and your clothes back to what they were before you woke up in Crystallis. It is silent, cold and before long it feels as though life itself is slipping out of you... And yet, slowly the world reforms around you. The darkness fades away and a new world appears, yet at the same time this is not a world.
This is a memory. The question is, is it yours or that of someone else?

Instead, he would simply shrug as though to ask if they would have proceeded in any other way. And with that, he would lay hand on his weapon and begin toward the wagon. "Nothing, my dear? Surely there is one or two things you can think of."

"Well, perhaps at the moment," Tazendra said. "We are under a familiar sky, I have a friend by my side, and we are going to a glorious battle to prevent a friend from making a grave mistake. I could only ask that our other friends be with us."

His own attire would never be confused for a Lavode. But Aerich wouldn't want to present himself as anything else, regardless. He'd just have to fight if it came to it. And a Dragonlord would be a better opponent than the ones he'd had lately.

Tazendra was having trouble remembering Garland, or Greycat, or whatever he was calling himself. Grita was easy; she'd last seen the sorceress less than a year ago.

"Perhaps it would be to our advantage."

Teleportation wouldn't be worth it over such a short distance, and Tazendra was already trying to adapt to the old Orb, where she couldn't get the power to flow as easily as it had after Zerika had returned it. But she could keep a fast pace to carry them on foot.
By the time they approached, Greycat's party was already meeting with Khaavren's. Thankfully, the disgraced lord had reason to air his grievances with Khaavren rather than stab them in the back. Greycat's brigands were already starting to circle around the past versions of themselves. "This should be short work," Greycat said.
"Well, may we interrupt?"
Tazendra would not notice the lack of recognition on anyone's face, but Aerich might notice that someone should at least recognize Tazendra as somehow becoming duplicates: age hadn't made all that much difference in her features. Even his younger self should spark a resemblance. But it was as if some other Dzur and Lyorn warrior stood there to the assembled parties.
[OOC: Generally, if this is early in the repetition, the battle will play out roughly as it did in canon; if it's later, things will go a lot worse, which could easily include Greycat actually managing to kill Khaavren. Your call about which to go with.]
