Stiltzkin's Castle Exploration
Characters: Team Fairy Tail (Levy McGarden, Robin, Tsubomi Hanasaki, Ib, Cloud Strife, Morgan), Team Abyss (Luke fon Fabre, Tear Grants, Jade Curtiss, Guy Cecil, Anise Tatlin, Gaara, Selen), Team Nameless (Lydia Deetz, Bartender, Tazrenda, Gaius Van Belsar, K'pandolu Tohka, Olivier Armstrong), Team Discovery Channel (Allenby Beardsley, Yugi Mutou, Gregory, Jude Maverick, Bartz Klauser, Yuri Lowell)
Where: Stiltzkin's Castle
When: The month of June through July 4th at nebulous points in time - groups should bear in mind it takes 10-15 days to get there and back
Summary: Exploring a dungeon we won't have access to pretty soon
Warnings: Unknown!
((OOC: This is basically freeform exploration of the inside of Stiltzkin's Castle. Each group will have its own subthread to roleplay exploring the castle. Anything significant in the way of monsters to fight, treasure to loot, or information to find will be explained by the mods if any of the groups happen to look in the right places. As for the mechanics of the Castle, physical attack power and Job levels are reversed inside - for example, White Mages will be as physically strong as the more combat-oriented Jobs. As far as Job levels are concerned, it's essentially 12 months minus the amount you actually have in the Job. So anyone at an Initial level would be considered to have the Job mastered, and everything in between - if you're 3 months in, treat your character as 9 months in. Higher level techniques will be weaker than lower leveled ones. All of this information has been made public to the characters venturing into the Castle, so assume that everyone on the expedition knows about that. Any questions that aren't covered here should be directed to the mods.))

i'm sorry, Jade. i don't see any adults around here :|
Because he usually shied away from the sun, due to his Job Class (and other reasons), Gaara lingered in the shadows rather than stand out in the open. The light would just further point out how pale he looked. If he stayed quiet, no one would see the fangs hidden within his mouth. Only Luke knew about that specific attribute, and even then, Gaara had yet to drink blood from him. As always, he resisted the urge to feed, despite it going against his innate preference for blood.
While standing back, he made mental note of the other Job Classes that were equipped, and how they could benefit the group. He could figure some of them out by sight, but the secondary ones would have to be revealed.]
Jade, Selen. Hello. [Gaara greeted them in a soft tone.]
Yes, the adults have to make sure the kids are in line ne? :D
Yes I have. It's going to be quite the challenge since this class has yet to be used to its limits. I suppose I'll just have to make do for now.
[ She replied with a nod of her head. ]
Indeed. They must have been sleeping or something, don't you think? I'm afraid I won't be of much use healing with this job. Hello stranger, my name is Selen.
[ She replied introducing herself to the one person she didn't know at all. She laughed a little as she seemed to be still attached to Luke. Both of Selen's jobs required her to use a weapon she was familiar with, but their abilities were rather contrasting. Instead of having her usual Paladin Job, Selen was dressed for her Dark Knight one. She was going to have a tough time adjusting right away. There was another person when she noticed their brow quirking-- A face of a boy she had not seen in a while. She quickly slipped away from Luke and hovered over towards Gaara. ]
Hello Gaara, fancy seeing you as well~
Jade doesn't count as parental supervision
[It's a blanket hello; he knows all of the present group besides Selen and Gaara--well, he knows them by sight but doesn't know their names. Thus, blanket greeting.
He's only got two jobs total so far, both equipped, and while he's dressed for the Archer one, he has a sword at his side in addition to the bow. Just in case.]
more like anti-supervision tbh
[Today she's dressed in the clothes of her weakest job, Gambler. Somehow, it was rather fitting.]
Is everyone ready? ♥
[She is most definitely not here for the treasure, nope nope.]
lbr he's probably the one who needs to be supervised the most
[It wasn't long after that, he was looking over to the familiar redhead. Gaara's getting a smile, before he quietly watches Selen walk over there... Just in time for him to hear a familiar voice. Blinking, he glanced over--] Guy...
[A small grin is managed as he nods to the blond.] Hey, what's u-...
[In that moment, Anise is making her (not... too surprising) appearance. He can only give a slightly exasperated smile for now.]
it's Guy's job to keep him in line :| protect all the poor children
When she approaches him, he stays still. He doesn’t know how he would react if Selen attached herself to his arm, like she did to Luke. A small smile briefly flickers over his expression, but he isn’t entirely sure how else to respond. At least he doesn’t move away, which means her presence doesn’t bother him.
His gaze shifts toward Guy when he appears, and his facial features shift to something more neutral. After what he’s heard from Luke, and based on his own interaction with the previous version of Guy, his emotions toward the blond are very mixed. He smirks at the sudden tackle by Anise – so childlike, and yet, with a serious air, on occasion.
Nodding in response to her question, he starts to head in the direction of the castle.] If no one has any objections, we should depart now.
/cough/ Selen is totes a proper adult :x lolollll children...
[ Selen would be grateful for that if Gaara would give her some pointers. The former General could use the experience to help better herself. She could learn things quickly, but little tricks and stuff would help in a long run. She had many years of experience under her belt at least. There was such a lively bunch of people that Selen couldn't help but chuckle at the comments and things that were being tossed around. She admitted she rather liked everyone she's met at the moment.
Gaara, gets his arm linked with hers as well and a hand petting on his head, because the last time they talked, they never saw each other for a while. ]
My, I thought something might have happened to you but here you are. It's been quite a while hasn't it?
[ Sorry Gaara, you're pretty much stuck at the moment. Don't worry she's not out to hurt you. Maybe a strong grip on you than she did on Luke as to show her concern. ]
I'm ready as I can be~ Let's get this little exploration started shall we? We should race~
[ JOKE is a JOKE... MAYBE. She's a bit competitive. ]
/goes out of turn? idk
Nice seeing you ag--Anise! [He feels her before seeing her, immediately going to pry her hands off of him when he does notice who she is. Fortunately, her hug is brief before she goes to bother Luke.]
I'm ready...are we waiting for anyone else?
/what is tag order we just don't know
Before we head further inside, would it be all right to discuss exactly what out goals are? I know that not much is known about here, but the more prepared we are the better.
/tag orders are for sensible people
[With Scholar equipped, Jade would be able to read Ancient, should they find any texts inside.]
I doubt we can cover even half of the entire castle on our own, but there will be other groups to carry on where we leave off. We should focus on being thorough with the areas we explore.
tonight we dine in tagging hell
[Obvious aims are very obvious. But hey, maybe they'll find a cool weapon or something that'll help them be able to take down Kalki?]
Do we know what areas the other groups are exploring?
[Mostly because she didn't want to happen upon all the cool stuff when they'd already found it but also because being efficient was probably better.]
all the tagging hell /o/ :D omnomnom
[ Castles always have secrets passages and things right? At least, according to Selen's ow knowledge of castles. She was ready to do a lot of hunting for information and for something fun to take back as a souvenir. ]
I'm quite fond of gathering any useful information that can assist us in completing our tasks here. Hmm. I'm not quite sure, though we could ask them, unfortunately, I don't know if we can find them to ask or if they're willing to share.

Well then, shall we be going?
no subject
And yes, let's get going. If anyone wanted to designate themselves the leader, now would be the time to speak up.
no subject
It's cut off with a very startled shriek. Perhaps coincidentally, the voice seems to be coming in one of the directions the other groups have yet to explore.
"N-No! Stay away, kupo!"]
no subject
Yeah, we shouldn't linger anywhere for too long. There's no telling what kind of surprises this place holds... [If he seems tense, it's clearly everyone's imagination; it's not as though he's bracing himself for the worst, or anything.
But, in all seriousness, he has witnessed a few moments where things took a bad turn due to everyone's guard not being high enough... His time with Takasu taught him a painful lesson, as well as certain moments back home... and here, no doubt.
Then, when he hears Tear's voice, his expression shifts. He manages a smile to her, in spite of his eyes not lingering on her for very long.] Hey, Tear... Nice to see you could make it.
[Ignoring the brief pang, he's staring at a spot on the wall for a long while. That's where his eyes will be resting while they're all talking. He opens his mouth to say something, in regards to the leader thing... right as that voice is heard.] Wh-...? [Then, he's glancing back at the group, expression serious.]
Looks like we don't have time for that. Gaara, you or Selen should take the front. One of you should take the rear with the ranged fighters... Healers, stay towards the middle, so that you'll be able to focus on your job better. [Not that he's... trying to be leader. That kind of just...came naturally...] Let's hurry.
no subject
Though, she didn't at all seem to change her expression. She was rather intrigued by Luke's display of leadership and had no issues with what he was asking of her. ]
The front is fine. That is where most of the fun is. My~ Aren't you a steadfast leader Luke~?
no subject
[Still, she looks towards the direction of the voice. There's no way it was that easy.]
Hey, shouldn't we be careful? It could be a trap or something!
no subject
Not that it wasn’t interesting to listen to the others talking, and observing their behavior toward each other. It spoke of the dynamic in the group, suggesting where their strengths and weaknesses might lie, throughout the duration of this mission.
Nodding in agreement, Gaara slips toward the back of the group, and continues to survey their surroundings.] Yes, it could. The formation Luke suggested would offer vigilance, while providing protection to the crucial Job Classes.
no subject
[It would be interesting, playing the healer role for the first time.]
We'd better hurry. It sounds like we'll end up with mashed moogle otherwise.
no subject
If it is a trap, I could provide assistance with what songs I have at my disposal. [They still couldn't compare to the familiarity of the hymns in her mind, but they would suffice until she came around.]
