Well, not exactly complicated, just a little discriminatory. Then again, it was the elves that brought the mana to the world, so it only makes sense that they're more tuned to it. While others can only use a part of it.

[ She tilts her head. ] Kind of like the difference between a master artist and someone who can only draw stick figures and not much else.

[ Okay, so it's much more than that, but it makes sense. She hopes. ]

Yeah... No, the living armor wasn't like that. It was actually alive. Well, sorta. [ Wow, was it hard to describe the monsters on her world. Anyway... ]

Actually, that does make sense. Kind of like the bridge of a ship, right? The pilot would have to be where the eyes would be so he could make it move right. [ She pauses. ] No wonder you want one. We just have to figure out a way to make it happen!

[ She watches his demonstration, her brows during in concentration. And she is very impressed. ] So using them together is like wielding two weapons, but without having to wait for an opening. But separately... The blade is good for close combat, and the gun for distance, but for someone who doesn't know that weapon, it always has an element of surprise thanks to the gun part.

Whoever thought that up is a genius.

So wait, do the elves prevent others from being able to use the magic? Or are they just naturally better at it? [If it was natural then it perhaps wasn't as discriminatory as a world where a single company made all the strongest materia because they had the money and the resources. Cloud wasn't really going to press the point though and he was honestly curious about the answer to his question.]

If you want to help me get one of those armors I'd appreciate it. [He smiles and chuckles a bit.] Though I'm not sure if we'll get a chance in this battle. If they're coming at us full force there may not be a good time to steal one.

And yeah, it's a good weapon but I've seen some designs that only use the gun portion for a short range shot to augment blade damage. I'm not sure that's as good a design but if you know how to use it I guess...Anyway, this is all part of the Magitek Knight Job if you decide to pick it up.

Not exactly. If you're not an elf or have elven blood, then you can't use the mana of the planet. But everyone has their own mana, and that can be used to perform special attacks while in battle. [ She paused. ] Although I can't perform magic, I can Summon--which means there's some elven blood in me.

[ Just not enough to show up on scanners. ]

Sure! I'll help. [ She fell into a thoughtful silence. ] No. This would have to be done when there's only a small number of them around. Like a patrol.

[ Sheena blinked a few times, her brows knit in confusion. ] That makes no sense. Even long-range weapons can be effective when they're used short-range. [ It's obvious she agreed with Cloud about the design. ] But it all sounds interesting; I'll look into it.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. An invasion might not be a good time but...maybe I'll get lucky. [Cloud smiles and shrugs. Hey, he can hope. And he's not chasing power for the sake of power but so he can protect everyone. The problem is he's the sort to push himself too far.]

The gunblade design makes more sense when you start to use it. Talking about it doesn't really do it justice.

[He swings his weapon a bit, smiling as he looks down the barrel.]

Unless one gets left behind or something. [ Then, jackpot! Yes, she wants to see one of those things, okay? His description makes her think of a cross between the Living Armor and an EC, and she wants to see what it really looks like. ]

Well, that can actually be said about a lot of weapons. [ Like Chakra or her own Seals. Those were better seen than told about.

Even knowing he won't hit her, Sheena steps back out of respect for both him and his weapon. ]

Yeah. I shouldn't have kept you so long. It was nice meeting you, and I'll see you later.

[ She's a little more definitive in her statement as she turns to leave, giving him a wave before she walks through the door. ]
