"Woah, easy!" Sonic said, keeping pace and trying to wave off the other workers. "Friend. I probably left my Moogle back a few blocks. I don't think he's in top shape."

Then, his attention back to MarKus. "Empire fulla machines, huh? Sounds like something I've dealt with back home. You don't mind if I borrow some of that gear, do ya? It's kinda hard to fight when I can't use the normal method just yet."

"Have you now?" Sonic sure had his interest now. "At what scale?"

Unfortunately his request will, for now, go ungranted. At least at good quality. "Well... I don't have much here. these are more meant for a surprise." he says. "I mean..." How does he word this properly again.

"When the Empire idiots bring their machines in here, you grab one of them and mess up their machines. I usually make better quality stuff for heroes so..." Not knowing what sort of jobs Sonci had, he simply grabs one of the swords from a barrel and hands it over. "Don't get upset when if it breaks."

He doesn't look to confident in giving it too him either.

"Yup. Wrecked tiny robots, robots that looked like me, gigantic battlesuits, armadas of flying battleships and even and orbital battlestation! With a... little help, of course."

However, he does note how weary MarKus is in letting him have the gear and, once he gets a good look at the blade, he shakes his head and takes it back.

"If it's meant for surprise attacks, keep it." He grins a bit. "No need to ruin a surprise because I need a bit of help. I can probably nick something if one of the creeps drops them."

"That's actually easier done than said. Especially if someone took them out first."

But Sonic's story hits home, even if he's unsure how, if at all, the guy piloted a mech... if he did...

"Name's MarKus. I assume you're a mech pilot by those stories you just told?"

"Name's Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog. It's nice to meet ya, MarKus."

He couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "Nah, I can pilot a plane, but that sort of stuff's more Tails' thing. Me? Run fast, spin fast and expect your foe to make a lot of mistakes in between!"

That just sounded more familiar! Enough that he actually says something.

"Say... do you subscribe to the 'Simultaneous Alternate Realities' theory?" But that said, it's as far as that line goes.

"Well, at least if I mention something to you, sounds like it would make sense. Anyway man... I really don't have the time to put in and make you something proper. Not till after this shit is over."
