It was quite interesting to say the least and he wondered when this is all over if maybe he could ask the other to help him figure out his own Blacksmith job. When one has never actually made anything that wasn't a potion, it was a whole different thing.

"Considering the situation, so long as it can do it's job, it shouldn't matter if it has an element or not." He put it simply, anything was better than nothing at the end of the day nd he was in all honesty just curious.

"Do you need any help, or are you okay?"

"Well, there's doing it's job, then excelling in it's job. What good is a sword if it breaks? What good is a shield if it chips or bends. KNow what I'm saying?" he tries to explain, but, perhaps at a later time, a later log.

"I've got my crew here with me. We're just dropping off supplies. I don't think we need any extra hands, but thanks though. If you need them later... just find the yellow ribbons. They're along the major roads and near the entrances."

"That is a good point, but would that stuff happen if one has used the object many a time. Then again a good sword would never break no matter what." He pauses to think about it, it was like with Kurogane's sword, he knew that it was probably old but didn't look it at all.

Never the less it had been worth the try. "So I assume this is what you'll be doing the whole of the battle, right? Making sure people have things so they won't get hurt by having what they don't have." He spoke as he gave a small smile. "However... Is it okay to ask instead that when this is all over, if it would be okay to help me understand the Blacksmith job better? You see I currently have it, but I've never used it before. I would prefer having an understanding before using it."

What he was doing during the fight wasn't important... who knew what was going to happen tomorrow.

However the latter part of the conversation really pinged him. "Really? And you don't know how to use it? Like, did you pick the job or did it get dropped on you the way it did me?" he asks. "Like, I used to work on gigantic machines back home. So... it's... an equivalent. What did you used to do back home?"

"I actually asked for it.I thought it would be an interesting challenge to do something new and different and to have a different way to help than just fighting." Usually he was the person who did the defence side of things or fought for a distance, but this felt like a nice change, even if he know nothing about it.

"However I've been known to be a rather fast learner."

"Well... when this is over, yeah I can probably show you what it takes. You'll find it easier than you think but... that's how this place works I guess." he nods.

"You'll be making your own tools first. I think that's a good place to start."

He nodded slightly, making ones own tools sounded pretty interesting really. It did sound like a very good start.

"That's a good start and something I would have never thought to do before. Is that how you started?"

"No, but that's how some of my screw started. Apparently a tradition that I wasn't aware of. You start someone off with the most basic of wooden hammers and from that they have to make their own tools." he explains.

"It's actually really fucking impressive to see someone craft a metal tool from a wooden one. I'll lend you a hammer, but you have to make your own and work from there."

"Still sounds like a good way to get started. Helps one figure things out along the way as well." He nodded as he actually listened, he wanted to improve on what he could do already and this had always seemed like a first good step anyway.

"Well... Wooden works for me. It's a challenge and will let me learn something that I might not have already known. But obviously first things first we all are getting ready for what will be happening. I should really do that myself."
