Seeing the city we live in at risk of annihilation... I had hoped for lower stakes as a first trial.

[That last line appeals to Aerich's way of thinking. Lyorns tend to favor people who can accept things as they are and work from there. It earns an approving nod.]

If the circumstances were easy, we should not be needed. Perhaps a victory here will even allow you to launch your own campaign against the Empire and assert some control over future confrontations.

I should hope. I would like to, of course, but... we have other matters we must consider, too. I'm concerned about the crystallization. That may be driving the Empire.
