Well...I think we were lucky to ever have this. I find sometime's people don't have as much time. So let's just hope we are all using it productively.

[She knew she was, making sure she was in top shapes for just in case. She was going to make sure she was fit enough and skilled enough to do something.]

I have faith we'll stop them to the best of our ability. Sure, there will probably be some damage, but we'll make sure it all isn't destroyed.

[Cloud wasn't going to disagree with Minako on that point and he gave her a firm nod in agreement. Still, he couldn't help but feel the weight of anticipation on his shoulders.]

Yeah, I know. I'm a soldier back home. I've seen my comrades fall before and... [In my own future my best friend gives his life for me. And another friend for the world later on.]

Maybe it's too much to hope we all get through this okay, but like you said we'll do our best. I just hope Jessie's plan works.

Yeah... it's never nice to see comrades fall, but that gives one more of a drive to keep going forwards, to keep trying ones best to that others don't. At least this is how I see it.

[She felt like she had started to make friends here and she didn't want them to fall, to die. So in her mind she was going to do her best with what she had.]

I believe it could, but there is also a chance it might not. So I wonder if we should of had a back up plan for just in case.

[Even if the heroes have a way of coming back to life, it's something Cloud has enough experience with that he knows he doesn't want anyone going through it. It isn't just the pain he felt at the time. It's the worry that if he can come back to life he might not be the real him anymore. Or maybe that was a worry of the him from the other timeline. He isn't sure.]

Yeah, that'd be a good idea, though I'm not sure what we can do to stop that thing if we can't control it. What about you? What will you be doing in all of this?

Then we just have to hope that we don't have to. [She wants to hope.]

I'm one of the people who will be fighting to protect the hackers. While numbers are always a good thing, I don't want to take the risk that numbers might be low on the fighting end.

[She was going to prepare for that factor, even if it meant she would be all alone. She didn't mind, she could handle herself that way.]

If I knew how many would help I would be more comfortable in helping the hacking team, but the whole thing is very unpredictable right now.

[Cloud nods in agreement, his expression firming up a bit. The brave face that Minako was putting on was a touch infectious.]

I'll help out as long as Jessie lets me.

[He closes his eyes and breathes slowly in and out through his nose.]

I wish this plan had more of a guarantee but I promise I'll do my best not to let you all down.

You think they wouldn't let you?

[She couldn't help but tilt her head slightly.]

And I promise not to die and let you all down too. I have my reasons to do it, just like I'm sure everyone else does, right? We just need to remember that when the time comes.

Jessie needs a Magitek Knight for her plan with the Ultima Weapon. And Marshal Nevada needs to direct the police forces I think. If I get hurt then we won't have anyone to pilot it if we can gain control of it.

[He doesn't elaborate, nor does he press Minako on her own safety. He gives her a firm and encouraging nod, a thanks for her own encouraging words. They just have to keep their focus and hopefully things will fall out the way they hope they will.]

So basically if you don't keep yourself safe that plot will ultimately go down the tube. That is something we can't afford to do. If you need someone to look out for you, just let me know and I'll be there.

[She might as well offer to help anyway.]

[Cloud has a feeling that things will mostly wind up being played by ear though.]

And if you need a sword or shield I'll try to lend a hand too.

[She gives a small nod for a moment.]

I'll make a note to remember that, though we don't have shields here... I wonder why that is the case? Or we do and it's for certain jobs.

[Cloud nods at the shield on the table, leaning against his armor.]

If you use the paladin job you should be able to use one well. Warrior too. It's strange that these things don't just give you skills but limit you in ones you knew before you came here. I guess it all works out in the end though.

Oh, I have warrior...Didn't think to get a shield.

[Nor did she ever ask if she could, she made a note to try and do that for next time. But right now they had other things to do than silly things.]

Limit? In what way?

[Just going to pretend she was just a normal girl back home. That's all good.]

There's lots of weapons a warrior can be good with. Give it a try sometime. [Not thinking or knowing to ask something is always the worst.]

Back home I was in the army. When I got here I suddenly couldn't use a rifle anymore. Well, not as well as I had been. This place started me as a black mage.

I will do.

[She smiled and nodded slightly. She figured that they were at least moving onto another subject.]

Wow, just suddenly forgetting how to use something that you might have been use to. Wonder how exactly that works. Just seems odd really.

Yeah, it's weird. I really should ask Jessie about it when I get a chance.

[Cloud had a feeling that there was someone else he could ask about all of this but Kalki was not exactly the most approachable for questions. Not to mention their enemy, at least as far as things were falling out.]

[She nodded slightly, although she had to admit she had not a single clue as to who Jessie was exactly. She hadn't met any of them since she arrived, but she will play along at least.]

Sounds like a good plan for when this is all over.

[On that note, she figured she should consider actually going off somewhere. After all there are things to do most likely.]

I should go explore a bit more. Get ready for it, you know. But it was nice talking to someone I'll be helping in the future.
