Vincent had a pretty good handle on the situation. He knew wires, not bombs, and while he could identify parts, there wasn't much more in the way of opinion he could add. If anything he was just going to be a confirming voice on anything Vincent said, unless something struck him as 'not right'.

And for a moment something did, and for not the first time, MarKus starts taking his shirt off and tearing at it. Taking the wire cutters away, he wraps the handles in his shirt.

Sure, this might embarass Yuffie but this was serious as he puts back on the majority of his shirt, just, shorter now. "That was stupid of me." Had she touched a hot wire with the cutters, she'd have been shocked, and... who knows what would chain from that.

All that said, it was down to Yuffie's hands, and the boys identifying parts and wires while Vincent gave direction.

[Yuffie's able to take Vincent's directions and show him exactly the wires he's asking about. It isn't so hard, if only because her hands were tiny compared to the two men standing next to her.

She looks over at MarKus just in time to see him remove his shirt and tear at it. Her face flushes a bright red as she focuses back on the wires, completely missing the point to him using his shirt.]

You mean randomly taking off your shirt! [She looks back over to realize that he's now half a shirt and he's handing her wire cutters with the torn pieces wrapped around the handles.] Oh... I knew that.

[She gently removes a hand and takes the cutters.]

Vinnie? [Yuffie sounds worried again as she looks up at her friend. You know, he can save them by telling her what to cut or she'll kill them all... always a good train of thought to have.]

[Sparks, who's been keeping guard on the group and keeping the area as safe an as distraction free as he can, approaches the group. He also tries to do so as carefully as he can, as the last thing you want to do is startle a group of people who are disarming a bomb.

He's about to say something when he sees MarKus whip off his shirt and begin tearing at it.]

Uh. Reckon I ain't a bomb-diffusal expert, but that seems like an interesting step to take. We don't all have do to that, do we?

[Even he can manage to attempt a joke during such a tense time.]

So uh, how're things goin' otherwise?

[Well, Vincent is blinking at MarKus, before nodding as he grasps what the other is doing. He would've offered his bandanna except MarKus was in the middle of it.]

We will make proper tools, after we handle this today.

[Then his attention is back to examining the wires. Vaguely aware of Sparks coming up; enough that he is not startled.]

Cutting through live wires without insulation would result in burns. Yuffie is the one with the smallest hands to do this.

[It wasn't an answer necessarily to Sparks's real question, but he didn't think that one warranted much of an answer. Instead his attention is once more placed to the wires Yuffie is manipulating.]

Trace that one. Follow it to where it connects, then follow the green one 2 wires over and clip that carefully.

[Those should eliminate any secondary detonations and cut the connection in such a way as to not trigger it. Waiting to be certain MarKus agreed.]

Agreed, MarKus?

MarKus simply agreed, though hopefully Sparks would understand the whole 'shirt removing' thing by now.

However her starts moving in beside Yuffie, now using the screwdriver to start removing some of the extra layers of casing as well as things that had assuredly been disconnected from the rest of the mechanism

[Yuffie continues to follow the wires and she's grateful that MarKus removed some of the plate coverings. Her hands are small but contorting isn't very much fun.]

This wire?

This one is the one I'm cutting first?

[She's triple checking this because she isn't about to snip the wrong thing and she hopes to Leviathan that both of them are still paying attention.]

[Vincent is paying close attention as Yuffie retraces them. Having the casing removed helped immensely.]

That one yes. Then we'll trace that smaller green wire to where it joins with the blue-split wire.

MarKus continues to follow wires as well, keeping track of which goes where as they make headway.

When he can, he's taking off more parts, carefully mind you, when it seems like it's save to remove another piece or casing so they can get in deeper and get this crap turned off.

[Yuffie makes sure that the wire that Vincent indicated is in between the makeshift wirecutters she got from MarKus. She closes her eyes and then snips the wire. She waits a few seconds before opening her eyes and then looking at the pair.]

So which one's next?

[She cute the correct wire but it's stressful and she really hopes neither of them saw her do that...]

[Vincent is paying close attention, and ignoring Yuffie's nerves.]

Trace that smaller wire where it connects to the blue split-wire. We need to figure out if and where it connects to the Switch. We trace it also to the Initiator, and then we clip that connection once we're sure of how it's rigged.

[Keeping his tone clear, calm, eyes following as more and more of the bomb's inner workings are removed.]

"It doesn't. It's... this one."

MarKus was tracing from elsewhere, and followed back to where Yuffie had been working. The split-blue wire still mattered but it wasn't connected to the switch itself.

[Yuffie is doing as she's told but she'd really like more confirmation before cutting another wire.]

You guys can be more specific you know!

[She moves her cutters to the wire that MarKus indicated.]

This one... right?

[Vincent followed, and then nodded.]

MarKus is correct. That one.

[From there he pointed to where he thought they would snip next, and hopefully they'd be done after that. It would still need to be moved, and taken care of safely--but the bomb COULD be moved then.]

Am I tracing this right?

[Checking with the wire-expert.]
