Change is awfully hard to deal with. Flashstones were weapons he'd employed for centuries, but then sorcery had failed and now they were in a place that had...grenades? Alright, keep an open mind. Besides, that actually sounded like it might be somewhat more effective than the flashstones.

"Perhaps a raid on the enemies stores will be in order, then."

Sadly, that's not an applicable tactic for someone from the techno-future. Bases, battleships, space fortresses, sure. Their storehouses. Naw bruh... MarKus doesn't know about that.

"Yeah, since I'm here in town making them, they'd come after my place eventually, or whatever building they thing a bunch of them are in, right? The same goes for them. Basically a battleship that just sits there."

Not a bad idea. "I don't know how good I'd be helping at that though. I'm not really suited for combat with my jobs. I can but it's not my forte. Y'know?"

The jobs turned out to be quite useful to Aerich, who had a desire to put people into categories. Dragons were soldiers, orcas were sailors, and Chreotha were traders. Maybe here people can change roles as though it's nothing thanks to the crystals. But it helps, especially since people still have their preferences.

"I do understand, my friend. And here is the proof: if you wish, I will bring weapons of interest back to you after the fighting." He wasn't much for looting, but spoils of war were one of the perks of victory.
