She was soaked, she nearly died, and when Mimi pushes herself off the group, she started to sob, but tears refused to fall out.

"I..." she wiped at her face fur. "Th-that was scary...!" The dirty water turned her fur more grey than white, but Mimi was too busy shaking in fear to notice. "B-but you saved me, kupo." She hiccupped and sighed. "And we destroyed one of these machines, kupo."

Mimi stood on shaky legs and walks over to inspect the Moogle Killer. "There's so many of these out there. Can we really right them off?"

Bonnie frowned, crossing her little arms as she watched Mimi look the machine over. "I don't know. But I don't want to just wait for the Heroes or any other humans to come to save us. We may be weak, but that doesn't mean we can't fight for ourselves."

Her frown shifted to a sly grin, "We can be heroes too. Now come on. We need to move before another one shows up." She held out a paw for Mimi to hold onto. "There were more of those things inside, right? We need to help the others."

Mimi brushed a paw over the machine's shell, shuddering as she remembered how frightening it was as a whole group loomed over the top of the buildings. Seeing it up close only made it scarier, even if it was broken.

She glanced at Bonnie. How was she so brave in the middle of a fight? "Y-you really think so? I'm just...a regular Mognet worker. All I do is deliver letters a-and help Ales with research, and m-make sure he's taking care of himself." How was he doing on his own? Explosions have been going on all day, and she was too busy hiding for her life to pay attention to the skies all day. Mimi held her hands together and looked upwards.

Be careful, Ales...

"...I'm scared, but I don't want to hide until everything's over. If I could be brave like you," she turned to Bonnie, "Th-then I could fight! But..."

Her self-esteem didn't agree.

Bonnie wanted to leap back into the fight, and she wanted all the allies she could take. But she was also a soft heart and not about to force Mimi into it if she was too scared to do so. Bonnie knew the limits of the moogles and while she was pushing herself and wanted others to do so too it had to be their choice.

Mary said that people need the freedom to choose. Being forced to fight for freedom isn't freedom.

"Okay. Listen. I want you to hide for a bit. I'll try to take out more of these things. When it's clear I want you to go and find any others who are still okay. If they want to fight tell them to find me. The rest, see if you can bring some others there and make sure they're safe. Can you do that?"

Mimi clutched her chest as she nodded to Bonnie's orders. Hide, yes, she can do that. She understood that she would be useless on the battlefield, throwing rocks and crying when those horrible robots got too close, but running and finding others? That didn't seem so scary.

"Y-yeah. I'll do that." She wiped the last of her tears. "But promise you'll be safe?" Oh, if those Moogles who were willing to fight came and saw their brave leader dead, what would they do?

Bonnie gave Mimi a salute, "I'll be careful, I promise. Mary showed me all the best ways to sneak and hide myself. Those robots won't see me coming!"

Brave leader? Gosh!

"O-okay..." Mimi nodded again. Bonnie will be safe. They'll both come out alive, and many other Moogles will, too.

With that, she flew off, waiting for the street to clear before flying to another alleyway. Soon, she was out of sight.
