[He almost comes back at that with his usual sarcasm, but stops himself. No time for goofing around. There was business at hand.]

I-- Look. Gonna make this fast. We got a spy in our ranks. Someone who can go invisible. Someone snuck past our lines and has been cuttin' throats of my officers. And I need people who know how invisibility powers work with Jobs, cuz I got a suspicion that's how they're doin' it. Don't know for sure, unless we got a traitor in uniform.

So uh. What I'm saying is. Is. That I need yer help.

[Yuffie is surprisingly serious. This is a war and her experience with that has left its own scars. She doesn’t want to do something stupid to get people killed, unless it’s herself, then she might do something stupid.

So she is silent as Sparks talks to her, of course the more he says the more of a smile she wears.]

You need my help?

[She’s just clarifying and while she really wants to enjoy this moment she knows it isn’t the time.]

Okay, where was the last attack? Is there a pattern?

[They need a general area to search after all.]

[Sparks clears his throat, and does his best to brush off his question.]

Uh, well, yeah, y'know, in order to find a ninja ya gotta think like a ninja. So I found the nearest ninja. 'Least that's my thinkin'. Could be a number of things, but from the way they've been leavin' the bodies, it leads me to think that.

Bodies have been found way past our lines, in a few places. Right now orders are no less than three officers together, in case they get ambushed. Honestly, I'm thinkin' of setting up a trap. Someone as bait to lure 'em out.

That might work.

[Yuffie puts her palms on her waist and look up at the dreary sky.]

I might be able to track them that way and flush them out. Do you have soldiers willing to do that?

Yeah. Yer lookin' at him. My officers got enough on their hands, 'n besides, what better to lure out a rat but with the biggest piece of cheese?

[All the awful things going on haven't seemed to dampen his ego, at least.]

[Yuffie just blinks.]

Except we need more than just you. [She doesn’t mean it as an insult.] You said they only attack groups of three.

Nope. I said orders are now they ain't allowed to go out in groups less than three. The others attacked before weren't. Hope is that they won't come after people who aren't alone. I, however, will be. Or at least look it.

Oh... well okay then.

[Now Yuffie feels silly.

MOVING FORWARD!]

Got it! You go around like a dunce and I'll be invisible and catch em!

[Sounds simple.]

Or, we can make it not an obvious trap, and I'll act normal and refrain from whistlin' and saying, "Gee, sure hope no one stabs me in the back today!"

I'll have to go without the armor, but truth be told, it needs a break anyway. I think a good set up would be me doin' some tune-up work on it. That way it looks like I ain't paying attention, and I'll be in one spot. Okay?

[Yuffie grunts and crosses her arms over her chest. She doesn't need the attitude Sparks.]

Okay.

[She pauses and then smiles.]

I'm a little amazed that you trust me with this but you got it Sparky!

[When does he not give Yuffie that attitude?

And again with that "Sparky". He glares at her.]

Well, we're on the same side for once. Don't think this means everything is A-ok between us or somethin'. Especially when ya keep callin' me "Sparky".

But it's such a cute nickname...

[She looks up at him with a slight pout.]

Don't you like cute things?

If yer supposed to fall under that description, then the answer is probably a no.

[Yeah that's right. He went there.]

Let's get goin'. The more time we waste here, the more time that spy's got to go around shanking people.

[She doesn't fall under the category of cute, thank you very much.]

Why insult someone if you ask them for help!

[Yuffie doesn't let him answer, instead she turns invisible with a grunt and then her presence vanishes. She's good at being silent which is a surprise considering how much she runs her mouth.]
