[Rose studied the machine carefully, trying to evaluate its responses to their attacks. She knew she could unleash another bolt at it, but perhaps it would be better to throw her weight behind one of these more capable youngsters here. If their attacks could penetrate its joints more easily it might be more effective than more people hammering on the surface. And then...yes...that was worth a try.]

Boy! [Yuna was out of reach for the moment, and his arrows were the better bet for her overall strategy anyway.] Take this! [Calling on the power of Mad Scientist, Rose sent energy his way to make his attacks half again as strong]

[Yuna slowly rises from her position on the ground. She's on her hands and knees looking up at Fai as he yells at her. She smiles feeling a little to proud of her plan. She realizes she's out of reach of getting help.

The machine tries to turn towards Fai but before it can Yuna tries to grab it's attention again.]

Over here!

[She holds out a hand and casts thundara at the machine watching at the electricity courses through it. It's enough to make it strike Yuna again though it's unclear if she might be able to get out of the way this time since the machine is charging it's beam to fire.]

[Fai looked over to the over, giving a small smile.]

Thank you. [He was quick to draw another arrow sending Big Yellow off past all of them. He used her to get close, but now he just wanted her to be safe. When Yuna once again did the stupid thing of trying to be a target that just pissed him off more as he aimed for the joint again before he noticed it was going to attack with the beam again.]

Everyone, hide! [he couldn't tell if Yuna was going to hide in time, so he used the chance to quickly go to her, tugging on her arm to try and get her out of the way in time before he turned his head to check on the other, since he knew before she had been close to her hiding spot from before.]

[With Yuna and the boy on one side of the beast and herself on the other, Rose knew now was the time to press the attack. With them on opposite sides and the way it was moving, it wouldn't be able to attack both groups with the beam without taking long enough to turn for them to be able to get out of the way.

If they could keep it switching between groups they could slow down its movements and buy time for reinforcements to arrive.

Rose sent a second arc of electricity arcing to the join that the boy had damaged, hoping that his arrows had started to open a pathway into the more delicate inner workings of the machine.]

Hey! Overgrown toaster! Over here!

[Too late, Rose realized she probably should have increased her own speed so she could keep up with these youngins rather than attacking, but she still wasn't used to these odd varieties of magic]

[It seems that having its prey yell at it doesn't stop the machine from moving. It's tail continues to charge turning to face Rose, while two large claws come down on Yuna and Fai.

With her sight on the tail, Yuna steps forward and yells across the way. She isn't looking at its claws.]

Move! Don't let it hit you!

[This is no way to know for sure but Yuna remembers that dream and if that canon was sent to destroy the heroes it meant that it could most likely kill one for good.]

[Fai took most of the attack with the claw as he sent him cflying into a wall. However he was more than use to this type of thing and slowly but surely he started to get up, his grip still on his arrow as he could start to fell blood running down his head.]

Yuna! Saying that and moving towards it is not the smartest of moves, follow by example.

[As he yelled that he realized....he's kind of sounding like someone he knows...Now he can somewhat understand why he would yell at him alot.]

But please focus on not getting hit by the tail, guys.

[Rose winced as she hit the ground as she narrowly threw herself out of the path of the beam, her joints screaming at her that she was far more mortal here than she was used to. She closed her eyes for eyes for a moment, both to summon inner strength and to buff her speed. Then she was up and in motion again, knowing she would be paying for this fight for weeks to come.]

You kids still alive?! [She was using another doorway for partial cover, and it was blocking her line of sight to the others. Rose had heard something hit the wall as she was dodging but couldn't tell what it had been.]

Somehow I don't think we are living up to this whole "Hero" nonsense today...

[Yuna feels the hit from the claw before turning towards Fai, everything hurt but she's at least able to do something.]

I know that! I don't want anyone else to get hurt though!

[She looks towards the machine and swallows, shaking her head as if in answer to Fai's words.]

Let me protect you.

[Yuna took her guns in hand and shot at the creature trying to take it's fire away from Rose. She knows she'll be able to dodge except that while focusing on it's tail she looses track of the things claws. The machine clamps down on Yuna taking her small frame between it's claw.

Her guns clatter to the floor and she uses all her strength to stop the machine from crushing her. The good news is, it's currently focused on Yuna giving Rose a chance to move to a better position.]

I'm fine...Yuna however.

[He sighed slightly. Really, Yuna. Fai readies his arrow again ready to aim at the claw this time. As much as he could understand her weird need to protect others, even he knew right now that doing that was the worst possible way.]

This isn't protecting anyone, when they are done with you they'd move on to us anyway and if you die then what? You would die for nothing!

[He unleashed another arrow and soon found he could use another couple in the hopes it does something, or at least try and drop her.]

Miss, now would be a good time to come closer if only for a moment.

[Rose used her newly enhanced speed to close the distance with the machine quickly and move to the joint she and the boy had been attacking. She located one of the spots that the boys arrows had penetrated the armor of the machine and quickly shoved her needle through the opening the arrow had made, working it down beneath the armor and closer to the delicate equipment inside. ]

Here goes nothing.

[Hoping she wasn't about to make things worse Rose unleashed a point blank Thundara, channeling the electricity through the needle into the delicate inner workings of the leg. The air filled with an acrid, scorched smell as the needle turned to slag from the forces passing through it. For a moment Rose's spirits lifted as the machine sagged in place, but then with a sudden sinking in the pit of her stomach she saw it begin moving again. Its leg stuttered as it shifted position, so its mobility was at least slightly down but other than that there seemed to be little lasting damage.]

[Yuna is still within the machines grip though Fai's arrow and Rose's spell were enough to loosen it's hold. Bit by bit she tries to wiggle free using all of her strength to keep it's claws from crushing her.]

Fine..[She grunts slightly, kicking her feet while trying to move.] Let's use your plan then because this isn't working.

[The building is to small on the inside and Yuna fears that they won't be able to stop the creature from moving forward.]

[Fai wanted to sigh with relief when it loosened it's grip and that they had some something to it. Better than nothing at all, but Fai knew that he was slowly running out of ideas himself and was unsure how long he could keep going for.

Using his head to wipe the blood from his eyes as it continued to slowly fall down his face, he wanted to make sure he could at least get one more shot in before it would do anything again, however when he fired he was pretty sure it had little to no effect any more as it stated moving once more, swinging it's claw and sending him flying into the wall again.

He could hear a crack as he was pretty sure something broke before he landed to the floor, unable to move as fast as he was able to before.]

I think we've run low on ideas at this point as much as I would love to come up with something last minute.
