[She smiles slightly trying to keep her spirits up. It is a simple thing but she wants everyone to be able to smile and those smiles give her strength; more so through times like this.

Zelda nods pulling her bow from her side. Even with Link in crystal stasis the bow he made her gave her strength and she drew on that now. With her arrows by her side she pulled the tight string back and then pointed so that Midna knew her target.]

That ship first. Aim for the engines!

[It might not take it down but it can at least slow it down and give others the time to pull it from the sky.]

( midna was grinning too. how, or why, she wasn't sure of but she felt light in the air, looking as though she was getting her balance finally. the engines, hm?

pushing back on the loftwing's neck she sat up tall, winding up with her hand, as her telekinetic magic reacted with her hair. the ponytail behind her became engorged, growing in size and mimicking the fist she made, aimed, and released in a mighty punch. ) Mmmnn-hah!

( it was a direct hit as she swooped by, smoke starting to rise within the inner mechanism -- ) Not as tough as you look, are you? Heehee! I knew it!

[Zelda watches her friend attack, pulling back the string of her bow and then willing her magic into the arrows tip. Her strikes weren’t as powerful as others and she used most of her magic to keep the images of the loftwings in the air but it is at least something she can do.

As their strikes hit one, of many, engines explodes. It will at least keep them busy and possibly slow down there pursuit forward without crashing them into the city.]

Good job!

[She looks over at Midna spotting a moogle killer that was coming their way. Her bow is draw again, this time the arrow zips passed Midna and into the advancing robot.]

( as the arrow zipped by the imp she sounded a quiet -- ) Ah? ( as she turned her head to see where the target was. an enemy of the likes she hadn't seen before, she pulled up on the copied bird she rode, turning in the air, just a short ways from zelda again )

What is that?!

It's a moogle Killer. [She pauses looking over at the airship.] I've seen them before.

They only slow down when they are getting ready to attack. We'll have to be careful.

( a moogle killer?? for some reason, that really didn't sit right with midna. the empire was targeting moogles, the poor, nearly defenceless creatures that had been helping them from the start?

memories of kulupa carrying her around town before she'd regained the ability to float welled up within her, images of him carrying around piles of her books taller than he could reach... and her eye narrowed.

not heeding zelda's warning at all, midna took off towards the machine, the hand that her ponytail formed was spread wide. with her real hand, the imp quickly swiped at the air, her hair following suit as she grabbed the moogle killer right out of the air, squeezing it in her giant grip.

gritting her teeth together, a monstrous sort of grin widened across her lips, revealing a fang as she rolled her tiny wrist. her hair began to twirl her prey around and around like a helicopter's blade, until with a sudden movement, she slammed it to the ground, shoulders heaving with breath from the strength of the attack.

attacking moogles... it made her sick! )

Midna!

[A hand reaches out towards the small girl but she's gone before Zelda could do more than shout. Her eyes widen as Midna attacks and she's glad to see that her friend is unhurt. To bad there are thousands of these things in the sky.]

Heh. ( with a wide grin, midna seemed rather self-satisfied, watching the contraption crash to the ground. turning to zelda with confidence, she was about to make a smartass remark of some sort, when suddenly she felt a rush of air beneath her.

her eye widened as she quickly looked down, time enough to see that the copy of the loftwing she’d created had disappeared, as she began a shocking descent to the ground with a surprised -- ) Ah --! ( as she reached outwards, already out of arms reach. )

[Zelda's eyes widen as the bird flickers from view. She watches her friend begin to fall and quickly spurs her bird to catch Midna. She doesn't say anything, lowering her weapons as the bird's wings tighten to it's sides. Zelda's loftwing is fast but she still has to dodge everything else cluttering the sky as she dives downward.

She manages to catch up to Midna but she knows it's not enough. An arm reaches out towards her, her finger tips just barely reaching Midna.]

I got you!

[She lifts herself from her loftwing, wrapping her arms protectively around Midna as she began to fall with her. The loftwing moved faster without Zelda's weight and was able to get under the pair only to spiral towards the ground in a controlled fall.]

( she'd used too much magic. underestimating the prowess she'd used to knock that infernal thing out of the sky, she was helpless as she fell, her arm reaching out towards the blonde with her mouth silently agape.

it was even more frightening when, as their hands finally clasped one another, zelda had opted to fall with her, pulling her into an embrace. her eye had squeezed shut, anticipating a collision with the ground, cursing herself for the part she would play in zelda getting hurt, or worse, again...

when the loftwing suddenly cushioned their fall.

looking up at the young goddess, midna was, for once... at a loss for words... ) I... You...

[Zelda feels the sudden jolt and with that she knows that they've safely made it to the ground. She looks at Midna with a warm smile. It isn't in her to watch someone fall to their death least it be a friend of hers. Her gaze shifts upward towards the mechanical killers that whirled through the sky.]

It isn't safe to be up there and Midna needs time to rest. Her gaze shifts back to her friend, her confident smile still in place.
