Bonnie had learned her lesson at this point. She was better at stabbing these things without getting her knife stuck and she certainly knew to jump off before they started spinning too badly. The garbage can from earlier would have been lesson enough.

She held out her paw just before she jumped, "With me, kupo!" She didn't quite wait for Mogdelina to take her paw, reaching out to grab the other moogle and leaped away from the crashing drone!

Mogdelina clasped Bonnie's paw in hers and jumped, squeezing tight so they didn't get separated. Her wings flapped as hard as they could to get out of range as the drone sputtered, shook, and spiraled down until it crashed into a heap against the Mognet building.

She tried to catch her breath, watching the sparking mess until it stilled. "We got it!"

A single moogle could lift themselves in flight, and even then just so. It often looked more cute than useful. With two working in unison though their combined wing strength was actually enough to carry them a decent distance and even give them a smooth landing out of this situation.

Bonnie grinned as she watched the machine crash and as Mogdelina confirmed the kill she grinned and put her paw up for a high five!

Mogdelina joyfully slapped her paw against Bonnie's.

"We did it!" she exclaimed. "We really did it!"

She felt exhilarated. She'd protected her home, just like the heroes the crystal had summoned. She was just like them now, a hero.

Bonnie giggled and hopped around a few times.

"Yeah! I knew we could! This'll Spencer we can too be Heroes!" She waved her knife around in the air, feeling very proud of herself at the moment and not quite noticing how she namedropped Sephiroth's own companion.

"Come on. There's more of them out there. Let's defend our home!" Some eagerness is good, but perhaps she was getting a little reckless.

"Spencer?" The moogle who'd gotten the luck to be assigned to Sephiroth? Even if there were some nasty rumors about him, Sephiroth was a powerful hero and had only ever acted with chivalry and dignity on Crystallis. Mogdelina gaped.

"O-Okay! Let's do it!" She gripped her knife and nodded. They would be heroes, just like Sephiroth, and Vincent, and... and even Albel! They'd show everyone!
