Event || Window of Opportunity
Characters: All Heroes of Light.
Where: Aqures Ixen - Everywhere
When: September 25th - From 12:30 to 22:30.
Summary: Heroes of Light will relive the same ten hours over and over again until they find a solution. This may be a blow to what's left of their sanity, but that's also a window of opportunity! The OOC Post is here for more information! It's not too late to sign-up, anyone can still jump right into the event! However, your vote for the total number of loops will not be taken into account any more.
Speaking of which-- Votes are in and this time displacement madness will be solved after 191 loops. Practically speaking, this means characters going through every single loop will live 2 months, 2 weeks, 3 days and 14 hours in the span of half a day. Hopefully they won't mind the food for the day, the clothes they're wearing or what they were doing when the loop started, because that's what they'll be stuck with until the end. There are some events described below, but there will be no NPC replies. Feel free to partake in these events and of course, make your own!
Warning: Too many time loops may be bad for your mental health.
The Flence Salesman
— All Day Long —
There is a salesman from Flence in the city, and he is going for every person he sees in the streets. Adults, children or elders, humans or tarutarus, it doesn't matter to him so long as he can make money! He will try to sell to the characters specialties from Flence and some crystals at absolutely awful prices, but he's open to negotiations and beyond that, he's extremely persistent. Normally, nobody would care about this, but given the salesman isn't be aware of the loop, he'll keep doing the same things over and over again... Hopefully he won't see your characters, otherwise he might just bother them for every single loop.
Moogle Demonstration for the Future of Mognet
— 12:30 => 16:00 —
For a surprise one-day long strike, the Moogles are demonstrating! There are roughly 800 Moogles together (250 according to the government, 5000 according to the striking Moogles) in the demonstration, all singing slogans and some even holding placards with "More Gil and Less Work" or "Give us Kupo Nuts" signs.
They started at 10:00 and left from the 09th District, but they will go throughout every district and explain what their protest is about. They'll finish at 16:00 and will be back to the 09th District to eat Kupo Nuts and drink Chocobo Milk together.
Biggs' Grand Return
— 14:00 => 22:30 —
After a month spent in the hospital, Biggs is finally back! He leave the Hospital at 14:00 and head straight for the Castle of Aqures Ixen. Noticeably he still has a broken and bandaged arm, but he'll pretend to be totally fine and for that matter, he will be as rude and as unfriendly as ever. He will spend most of the day in the Castle, but will go in Palitutu's Lab by 19:00 to meet with Cid. Among other things, he will side-eye everyone and will accidentally splash Cid's coffee on a Hero of Light working there (or on a Moogle, should the Hero have the good sense to avoid Biggs next loop).
Renovation of the Blitzball Stadium
— 15:30 => 20:00 —
The repairs are going steadily and today, a special dome from Trano Golsaucia is being transported and placed on the Blitzball Stadium, brand new and much more modern than what Aqures Ixen used to have! On the downside however, the airship bringing the dome and the work being done on the stadium are all very, very noisy. So noisy that everyone in a two-district radius will be bothered by it.
Under normal circumstances it would have been only for a short time and easilly bearable, but here it will happen for every single loop.
Have You Heard of the Heroes of Light?
— All Day Long —
Throughout the day, a few people are going to go and knock on every doors in the city, to talk about a most fascinating topic: the Heroes of Light! They will speak about how it is said the Heroes of Light are in Crystallis and how they managed to defeat the empire without difficulties back during the attack! Then they will go on and ask for a contribution (hear: money) to help the Heroes of Light in their cause. Of course, these people are dishonest and the money will go into their own pockets, as they don't believe in the Heroes of Light to begin with.
And of course, they'll go knock on doors during every single loop!
The Accident
— 22:29 => 22:30 —
The one minute that started it all. Who is the imbecile who committed the mistake on Palitutu's computer? Is this a Moogle or a Hero of Light, maybe Cid or Biggs? Whoever it is, after the first time, at 22:29 the program will start again on its own and will activate the loop right at 22:30, sending everything back to 12:30. The characters may try to run more programs to block the computer, cut the energy source or even bomb the building if they so wish...
But these archaic and barbaric solutions won't prevent the next loop from happening. Only hard work and scientific solutions shall prevail!

MarKus | Nobody said Loop de Loop yet!
(A) Haley's Anvil
MarKus's initial day is not that impressive... He planned on working all day, and he WILL work all day at his forge. Firstly trying to figure out how this... new Advanced Job is supposed to work.
Turning steel into something more... something totally elementally different is blowing his mind, but... it's probably because he's hung up on the science and not the magic parts... Which is the other problem... how's he supposed to do it anyway... Perhaps willing the metal into shape during smelting will do the trick? Who knows... not him but... it's worth a try to turn an ingot of iron into mithril.
(B) So I hear you like that show "Hikari no Yuusha"
As the evangelists come about preaching the word of the Heroes outside his shop, to his crew no less, MarKus approaches them with his mask on. It seems for all their high praise, they don't know something as basic as where one of them works and operates.
MarKus listens for a while, hearing them soon asking for 'charitable donations'. Money huh? Firstly, if they've been at it, why hasn't he, or anyone else made mention of this 'extra income', but secondly... trying to out-charity the man who makes free weapons for the newbies, steps above the vendor-trash they start with.
The man in the 'iron mask' as it were, steps up and slugs the one that appears to be carrying money, sending gil scattering across the ground. "I get paid for hard work, not just for existing. Don't treat my life like some kind of godlike diety so you can cash in instead of working hard for yourself! Quit being lazy, you fucking trash scumlord!"
A
THANKS, Luffy. Jack has been through enough loops to know what's going on, and he's trying to vary his activities from loop to loop, never get caught in a pattern."Hello?" Jack steps into the shop, but is instantly distracted by looking at MarKus' equipment. They're the kinds of things he hasn't paid too much attention to before.
Re: A
"Yo." A generic, yet friendly greeting from the owner himself.
Re: A
"I don't need anything quite so complicated. My last sword, ah-" Jack smiles. "Well, a very good friend broke it to stop me from doing something stupid. So, I guess I should spring for a really good one."
Re: A
"Oh yeah... that weird PacMan Guitar thing." he says, nodding. "I remember that. We took a while to design it to be practical and aesthetically satisfying."
And that's what he took pride in. Non-generic, custom shit... complicated stuff that challenged him. He was a mecha builder after all, not a real weaponsmith."
"So... you just want... a better sword? Like you don't even care what it looks like? Are you sure?" He raises an eyebrow.
Re: A
"Primarily, though, it's gotta be strong enough to not be able to be broken by a Monk bare-handed," Jack chuckles. "Also, do you have the stuff to infuse it with an elemental property, or would it be better if I collected that on my own?" Chiaki had mentioned that sounded like 'perfect side-quest material.'
Re: A
"I have some basic elements... Fire, Ice, Lightning." he says. "Though... I've got this Advanced Job thing I haven't had a chance to really test out yet."
And being stuck in the loop, he wouldn't for months of repeats. "If you find something better than the basics, that's cool, but... I've got the basics in surplus."
Re: A
"Where would you get a line on something stronger? There's got to be a trade in it somewhere, and I can't be the only person wondering about this."
There's a very long pause as Jack mulls something over. "Also, we were getting some things from home. Before. Not sure how Jessie-" whoops, "er, how Palitulu was doing it. But what would you need? Tech-wise, I might be able to help."
Re: A
He hums a bit.
"But word is that this... job combination I took I can fix myself up with good stuff... When I figure out how. Shit comes with time... sadly..." he rolls his eyes. Stupid non-magically imparting information.
Re: A
Re: A
B
"What are you doing?!"
Re: B
"These guys seem to think it's okay to take money from people saying that WE need the money. They're basically stealing and lying that we asked for the money." he kept it short and simple... but was his wording even good enough?
Re: B
"Mister people, we do not need that money. if you haven't noticed there are many more people who are without homes, that money could go to them. We are just fine." Now her focus is back on the other, she still isn't happy. "But violence is never the answer to deal with things, has anything that has happened proven that yet?"
Re: B
But really... "Yeah, not really no. Not here anyway." Giving in to a young girl's pleas was TONS easier, and socially more acceptable than arguing. And MarKus also knows how hot-headed he is anyway.
"I have a better idea than that. You, give her the money. Kobato, I trust you to give the money to the right people who need it. They could lie to you and walk away. I'll feel better, and apologize, if that happens."
Ooooh... what say you, wild NPC-man!
Re: B
The other guy on the other hand didn't seem to full agree, after all he wanted the money for himself, not so he could actually give it to those in need, but he had already been punched once and as he nervously looked at MarKus, before handing it over, feeling a little defeated before quickly running off before he did anything else.
"Well.. that was easy."
Re: B
He nods.
"Speaking of which, I need to get back to work."
Re: B
Re: B
It's about then he notices the pile a bit away, a few of them blowing off in the wind. He hurries over to stop them from getting too far away from the main mess.
"Yeah, no flyers for me to put out."
Re: B
A
"May I ask what this will be?" she asks, at a point when she judges it safe.
Re: A
"Well... I want it to be a different metal but... I'm not sure HOW to pull that off yet. Word is..." he says pointing at the lounging Moogle off in the corner. "That this Alchemist thing can do that. And I'm determined to make something from home knowing this stuff.
Re: A
"A… different metal? I'd no idea that was even possible." She frowns, tilting her head to one side. "Through alchemy, you said?" She hadn't known any to have use for ores in Eorzea- sands for inks, yes, but not ore. "Oh? What manner of thing might that be?"
Re: A
"A giant walking armor." he says. It explained much... and he didn't like the comparison he'd have to draw for Magi-tek armor. It wasn't really the same... more of a power loader-style thing than a mech.
"I used to make them at home, but I had more tools and room, and materials, from the moon."
Re: A
She nods, and blinks, lifting her head. "The moon? What kind of materials would you find there?" Eorzea's moons had been largely out of reach of its populace- and the lesser moon's descent had done the land no favours.
Re: A
"And at least on my moon, there's special metals, stronger than steel. And after you work them and process them, they even ignore bullets. Of course, these are bullets that are easily as big as my head."
Can she even fathom such a thing. Not canon shells... bullets... but there's a parallel to be drawn there. "But... it's something I've wanted to do since I got here, I just lack a lot of resources."
Re: A
"Indeed?" Her eyebrows rise. She knows of cobalt and darksteel, but she wouldn't describe either of those as having those properties. Perhaps the Garleans have something… but that would require asking them. "As big as that… That's an incredible thought." Frightening, too- but they'd been able to use the magitek missiles in Castrum Meridianum to great effect. If they could keep control of such creations…
"I see. But with this Job, you believe you can acquire them?"
Re: A
"But yeah, I worked on a ship full of those things so... imagine a flying boat biggerthan the city."
Re: A
