Event || Window of Opportunity
Characters: All Heroes of Light.
Where: Aqures Ixen - Everywhere
When: September 25th - From 12:30 to 22:30.
Summary: Heroes of Light will relive the same ten hours over and over again until they find a solution. This may be a blow to what's left of their sanity, but that's also a window of opportunity! The OOC Post is here for more information! It's not too late to sign-up, anyone can still jump right into the event! However, your vote for the total number of loops will not be taken into account any more.
Speaking of which-- Votes are in and this time displacement madness will be solved after 191 loops. Practically speaking, this means characters going through every single loop will live 2 months, 2 weeks, 3 days and 14 hours in the span of half a day. Hopefully they won't mind the food for the day, the clothes they're wearing or what they were doing when the loop started, because that's what they'll be stuck with until the end. There are some events described below, but there will be no NPC replies. Feel free to partake in these events and of course, make your own!
Warning: Too many time loops may be bad for your mental health.
The Flence Salesman
— All Day Long —
There is a salesman from Flence in the city, and he is going for every person he sees in the streets. Adults, children or elders, humans or tarutarus, it doesn't matter to him so long as he can make money! He will try to sell to the characters specialties from Flence and some crystals at absolutely awful prices, but he's open to negotiations and beyond that, he's extremely persistent. Normally, nobody would care about this, but given the salesman isn't be aware of the loop, he'll keep doing the same things over and over again... Hopefully he won't see your characters, otherwise he might just bother them for every single loop.
Moogle Demonstration for the Future of Mognet
— 12:30 => 16:00 —
For a surprise one-day long strike, the Moogles are demonstrating! There are roughly 800 Moogles together (250 according to the government, 5000 according to the striking Moogles) in the demonstration, all singing slogans and some even holding placards with "More Gil and Less Work" or "Give us Kupo Nuts" signs.
They started at 10:00 and left from the 09th District, but they will go throughout every district and explain what their protest is about. They'll finish at 16:00 and will be back to the 09th District to eat Kupo Nuts and drink Chocobo Milk together.
Biggs' Grand Return
— 14:00 => 22:30 —
After a month spent in the hospital, Biggs is finally back! He leave the Hospital at 14:00 and head straight for the Castle of Aqures Ixen. Noticeably he still has a broken and bandaged arm, but he'll pretend to be totally fine and for that matter, he will be as rude and as unfriendly as ever. He will spend most of the day in the Castle, but will go in Palitutu's Lab by 19:00 to meet with Cid. Among other things, he will side-eye everyone and will accidentally splash Cid's coffee on a Hero of Light working there (or on a Moogle, should the Hero have the good sense to avoid Biggs next loop).
Renovation of the Blitzball Stadium
— 15:30 => 20:00 —
The repairs are going steadily and today, a special dome from Trano Golsaucia is being transported and placed on the Blitzball Stadium, brand new and much more modern than what Aqures Ixen used to have! On the downside however, the airship bringing the dome and the work being done on the stadium are all very, very noisy. So noisy that everyone in a two-district radius will be bothered by it.
Under normal circumstances it would have been only for a short time and easilly bearable, but here it will happen for every single loop.
Have You Heard of the Heroes of Light?
— All Day Long —
Throughout the day, a few people are going to go and knock on every doors in the city, to talk about a most fascinating topic: the Heroes of Light! They will speak about how it is said the Heroes of Light are in Crystallis and how they managed to defeat the empire without difficulties back during the attack! Then they will go on and ask for a contribution (hear: money) to help the Heroes of Light in their cause. Of course, these people are dishonest and the money will go into their own pockets, as they don't believe in the Heroes of Light to begin with.
And of course, they'll go knock on doors during every single loop!
The Accident
— 22:29 => 22:30 —
The one minute that started it all. Who is the imbecile who committed the mistake on Palitutu's computer? Is this a Moogle or a Hero of Light, maybe Cid or Biggs? Whoever it is, after the first time, at 22:29 the program will start again on its own and will activate the loop right at 22:30, sending everything back to 12:30. The characters may try to run more programs to block the computer, cut the energy source or even bomb the building if they so wish...
But these archaic and barbaric solutions won't prevent the next loop from happening. Only hard work and scientific solutions shall prevail!

D
That's a nice thing you've done there. I think a little kindness goes a long way after all.

Oh, Bloom! Hey!
[He glances at where the moogles have -- for the moment -- all cast their signs aside to sit down and enjoy the snack. It's a nice change from all the chanting.]
Heh... it might not matter to them in a couple hours, but I figured it couldn't hurt.
[...Although if this is the last cycle, he just blew nearly all of his money. Oh, well, it's not something he stresses over, anyway.]
Seemed like a nicer way to kill time than others.
[Pretty sure he caught word of someone punching out one of those guys gathering money.]
no subject
[She was unaware of the whole looping business and had been doing the past ten hours unaware of what was going on.]
But being with the moogles and showing them one cares is probably one of the best way to spend time. If I didn't work so much I would.
no subject
...Oh -- uh -- yeah, I'm sure you're right.
[ANYWAY, let's change the subject--]
Heh... yeah, I don't think the little guys get as much credit as they should. [Ven, no, you'll start another protest.] So you've been busy, huh? Does it have anything to do with the restoration efforts?
no subject
[Which can be a bit bothersome, but she knew that when things happen other things happen as well after, so she wasn't surprised.]
What do you do for work, or do not not work since it isn't something we have to do.
no subject
I don't have a job, really, but I hunt monsters a lot for training and money. Sometimes the people in town buy 'em for food or materials. [But that's a moot point at present, since time will just reset along with all the effort.] I've thought about working in the city, though. I'm just not sure what I'd be best at doing.
[Thus, he's stuck to monster hunting.]
no subject
[Though that was a random thought from her head, but didn't think of it as being something one could do, but she didn't know if it could or not.]
no subject
[He can test it out on the next loop, why not? He has time to kill so he can perfect the effort in the meantime.]
I've been doing it for free lately, though -- because of the restoration and all. I know it'll be a while before everything's back to the way it was, but the more we do, the faster it'll happen.
[Even if that means taking a paycut, but Ven's not worried about that, anyway.]
no subject
[Made perfect sense to her, but this wasn't something she was exactly use to anyway.]
That makes sense, but... I'm not sure hunting monsters for free is really helping since what exactly would then use what they have for? I guess since they aren't paying it's going towards what they need at least, so it makes sense.
[Bloom just makes sure she gives a small portion of her next pay check toward everything.]
no subject
[He looks over at where all the moogles are still on break, munching happily away at their snacks.]
I guess this is a sign that things are getting back to normal again, though. And we still had new Heroes come in, so... [How to phrase it?] This world still seems pretty balanced, even after everything that's happened. I'm sure we'll be okay, even if it's tough.
no subject
[Though she is somewhat glad that things are peaceful for the moment but that makes her worry even more. if the world is balance with the good the bad will always follow.]
True with the bad comes the good... but then the bad will simply return again. I don't think that's the best kind of balance people here need.
no subject
Right. I was taught that balance doesn't always mean there's an equal part of every side -- it means maintaining what's best for everyone. The Calamity's setting Crystallis off-balance, but the Heroes are working against it to set it right. It's tough, but we're managing.
[For now, at least.]
As for the new Heroes... we'll just have to make sure they know what we know. If everyone's caught up, that'll make our job easier, y'know?
no subject
[That thought of her sister in that time it still upset her a little bit. The thought that her last thought might have been about her being dead. It was horrible.]
no subject
Yeah, I heard about that. I don't really get how a cycle like that can just keep going, but-- [He frowns.] If that's this world's "balance," somehow, then... we'll just have to figure out another way. Break the cycle and create a new balance.
[Which is... pretty unheard of, actually, but if it means saving lives, then it's the only way he can think of.]
We learned a lot in the past, and everyone's doing everything they can. We've beaten the odds more than once, too.
no subject
[Saving lives was on the top of her list, and a lot of times back home they could handle things without losing a life. Only once did that not happen. But with a little nod she was determined.]
Yes, but... Sometimes it comes with a price. As much as I hope that it will never happen again... I get the feeling it will. But I will hold to hope that it won't.
no subject
...Hopefully it won't be that bad, but -- whatever the cost, I think some people here are ready to pay it.
[There's a brief rise of noise as the moogles all gather up their signs -- looks like they finished their snack. If their exchanges are any indication, they've got a schedule to keep and are heading uptown. That helps brings Ven's thoughts back to the present -- the sunny, optimistic present -- and he quickly gives Bloom a happier smile.]
We'll work on it. For now, I'm glad we just have little problems to deal with.
[Like moogle politics. And... okay, the time looping isn't "little," but at least no one's dying.]
no subject
I have things of my own to deal with... And that's making sure crime doesn't happen. Which reminds, I should really be doing that.
[She gives a small smile as she looks around, she has been keeping an eye out, but now she thinks that she should keep moving again.]
no subject
[The break from struggling to find something new to do was nice, though. Speaking of, this offer won't matter in a few hours when everything resets, but still--]
Let me know if you need a hand with anything! I'll be around.
